  • "Former member of the special operations clandestine unit known as MACV-SOG. John ran missions as the 1-0 and 1-2 of Spike Team Idaho from May 1968 - April 1969. Following his time serving as a Green Beret in Vietnam, "Tilt" worked as a reporter and editor before devoting his efforts to the veterans community and working as a special operations history keeper. Thanks to the 20-year secrecy agreement expiring, he is now able to tell his story about the secret ops that occurred across the fence in Laos, Cambodia and North Vietnam." - www.jstrykerme...
John Stryker Meyer, aka "Tilt", has been a monumental figure in the veteran community. His first interviews on Jocko Willink's podcast reached a massive audience, many who had no idea what the secret war in Vietnam was. We are honored to have had the opportunity to sit down with John to record his story in a new setting, and we are excited to return to film Part 2. A huge thank you to Tilt and his wife for being so kind to us, welcoming us into their home, and being such genuinely good people. We will never forget the way they treated us, and will do our best to emulate the same treatment toward others.
If you would like to see more of John's content, you can find his podcast SOGCast on all major audio platforms.
John is the author and co-author of the following books talking about SOG's experience in Vietnam:
Across the Fence: The Secret War in Vietnam
On the Ground: The Secret War in Vietnam
    SOG Chronicles
Pucker Factor - Stories of MACV SOG

You can't "throw a rock without hitting a JSM interview" these days, but it seems like he adds tidbits of info not mentioned previously, which makes each one worth listening to!❤

What a warrior! Love his stories and getting his book. I knew Vietnam vets. One carried a M-60 in Cambodia and another goy a bad arm burn from Napalm dropped from a F-4 and said it hit both sides and all firing stopped. God bless all our men n women warriors and vets

You know I know we all say how much we love these interviews and stuff but this is the bottom line this is so important for some young men and some young women to hear this story cuz they will go on to do what this man did this is so important for them to know what they're fighting for and why and you know some of the stuff ain't right some of it's wrong but no we fight to keep our country free and out of the hands of the propaganda but I believe that's coming again you know we're going to have to really pull together as a people anus and really pay attention to each other not the politics

I really want to mention this a lot of these guys that was there it seems like they're so much more in touch with reality of who God Almighty is because they watched life and death writing in front of their eyes and they realized that they were spared by the hand of God so many of these stories so many of these men talk about God Almighty being there to save them This is what we need we need more men just like Mr Till Telling his story showing these young children that God is alive
