@@Amaling I barely do that wirh spotify tho. When I‘m at home I do that with RUclips. I think the reason is that I used the discover weekly playlist for once this year to look for new music bc I really got tired of the music I usually listened to.

It's interesting they let you keep your country as Australia because when I moved away from Japan back to Europe, things started getting messed up on my Spotify and when I have contacted the customer service about it, it turned out it's because my Spotify is Japanese but now that I am in Europe, it apparently can't be (which sucks because some Japanese artists have stuff available only on JP Spotify).
@@c0_nes they are. I will use my fave band Buck-Tick as an example...if you want to listen to their Arui wa Anarchy and Yume Miru Uchuu albums, you gotta have Japanese Spotify. They don't show up at all in the rest of the world. But now that I think about it, if Joey pays Spotify premium from an Australian account, then it's probably very possible to keep it Australian. I closed my Japanese bank account before leaving, so after I paid from my current country account, my Spotify just broke down:,) And as a free user, you can maybe use VPN to fool it, idk, never tried it.

I listened to 2,756 artists this year and I was like "huh?" I'm pretty sure I could never name over 2,000 artists if you gave me all the time in the world...
I listened for 1199 artists, but I only have about 3500+ music on my liked(which I often listen to) so I theorised that maybe the playlists you listen to impacts the number of artists you listen, cause every other week at least I would listen to discover weekly, anime now, and the radio feature of new artists I listen to, so that’s probably where it adds up
@@mr.tataumbol yeah I have a lot of playlists with 200+ songs where one artist might be featured like 8 times max. So I think I listen to a greater variety of artists than I initially thought... also, I always venture out and seek for more great artists/albums or even singular songs so I guess all that searching has led me to try out a vast variety of artists with most of them not coming up in my radar again after I once gave them a listen... oh yeah, sometimes I keep the Song-Radio on, too (idk if that's what it's called in english but it is in my languages so yeah :D)
My top 5 artists this year were Westside Gunn, JPEGMAFIA, Roc Marciano, Boldy James and Steve Lacy but I also use Apple Music and on there it was all Mike, Navy Blue, MAVI, Maxo, Earl Sweatshirt, Wiki, Benny The Butcher, Rome Streetz, Billy Woods, Armand Hammer, Mach Hommy, Blu & Exile and many more

Damm you have the same artists listened as I have songs for 2022. I was pretty much a TK / 凛として時雨 fanboy in 2022. Taking my #1 and #2 spots, i listened far more than anything else. Centimillimental was up there too, his music is amazing, I cant recommend it enough
Joey the alt-hip hop man. Guess I gotta check out MIKE. I find it also funny how similar my music listening traits are. Once I discover something super catchy to my ear I tend to play it into the ground until I’m ready to move on. I know for a fact this is why Helicopter by Bloc Party was one of my most played songs.

I did the math and listened for 2.89 months over this year! I got the adventure listening personality also. My top artists out of the 1,777 were: Weezer, The Happy Fits, The Dreadnoughts, Solence, and Set It Off. With listening to 80 genres my top were Alternative Metal, Pop Punk, Modern Alternative Rock, Otacore, and Post-Screamo. I played 4,264 songs with the top 5 being JOJO SONO CHINO SADAME, Best Served Cold, BLOODY STREAM, Barbie and Ken, and the Ketchup song (Aserejé). And I still keep looking for more to listen to.
I got adventurer as well. And listened to 800 something new artisit this year. I love finding new music. It's a fun passtime for me. I listen to music for about 8 hours a day cause of my job so I like to switch it up a lot. I'm gonna take a listen to Mike and the others and see if I like their sound. 61k hours here and I'm glad I'm not alone with that 4/5 top songs being from one dude🤣. This year Kenshi yonezu popped off for me(でしょましょ is goated) but eve was still my top artist even though only tokyo ghetto was in my top 5. It checks out. The amazing devil (alt/indie/alt-folk 2 person band) was my top artist of the year with over 6k minutes and on my top 10, 7/10 are TAD songs and one song being sang by Joey Batey (one of tads singers) from the witcher. Spotify really exposing my obsession over their band.
Listen to Novo Amor if you're depressed, or if you're anxious and you want to feel calm, every one of his songs have an awesome vibe discovered him late into the year so didn't make it into my wrapped but great artist.

Always love seeing people's Spotify Wrapped! I had a similar thing with the total listening time. Last year I listened for 53k minutes and this year it was more like 28k which I 100% attribute to me listening to RUclips mix playlists a lot more this year. Top genre for me was Indie Pop, and my top 5 artists were: Lovejoy, Derivakat, James Marriott, The Family Crest, and CG5. Definitely recommend any of them but *especially* The Family Crest. Very underrated orchestral rock/pop group and probably in like my personal top 3 favorite artists tbh! They put out a new album this year and I thought it was so good

I knew by my own when searching randomly from spotify but when i watched ur video about they, i really dived into the albums and its been just amazing, the sounds just gives me chills when i listen. I had Radiohead, TOOL, Sublime, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Mötley Crüe. I’m certain you’ve listened to most of them, the only one you might not have listened to is Sublime. I recommend either “40 oz. For my most listened song, I was in university doing boring and stressing assignments and the only thing that kept me going in a rhythmic way was Blinding Lights. Says I listened to it around 450 times or something.
i only had 6000 minutes out of my 161000 with my favorite artist, so seeing so many people with a way larger percentage being their favourite artist kinda surprised me. also what surprised me was that my top genre was pop, considering i mostly listen to rock and metal
So mine is... 54,658 minutes, top genre is indie pop with also vocaloid and rock, my most listened song is "the book of lies and the universe" by keiichi okabe (who also made the nier series soundtrack) which is a beautiful and short piano and violin melody. The artists on my most listened songs are demondice, fake type and my top artists was Camellia and I'm an adventurer too. Now thanks to my drumming classes I listened also to more jazz, blues, rock and some hip hop. I'll check out MIKE and these other artists

I did mine last week. I was at 75,459 mins which is apparently more than 96% of Canada. I listen to 96 different genres, mostly J-Rock and Melodic Power Metal, which is not surprising. I was surprised to find out I was in the top 0.01% of listeners of Spyair. Last year it was Amaranthe, which I was not surprised about because i was addicted! lol
My top artist this year is Kokia, mostly because I probably play her playlists while I sleep. Her songs are so good, I hope she gets more listeners next year 🥰
You know Spotify has a sleep timer right? You can have it turn off after half an hour when you fall asleep. Seems like a waste to just have it play all night when you can't even hear it.

RADWIMPS I only listened to EIGHT genres this year and all of them were something anime-related (though what the heck is "otacore?" It was my #1 genre). And my "personality"...FTVU for Familiarity, Timelessness, Variety (*snort*) and Uniqueness. I discover my music by the weekly suggestion playlist and that's pretty much it.
I enjoy a lot of artists. FamilyJules was my #1 for the 3rd year in a row, AmaLee, The Black Crowes, Mori Calliope, and last but not least Adriana Figueroa. My total playtime is 9,884 minutes which is less than last years which was 11,401 minutes.

I listened to 2,756 artists this year and I was like "huh?" I'm pretty sure I could never name over 2,000 artists if you gave me all the time in the world...

I listened for 1199 artists, but I only have about 3500+ music on my liked(which I often listen to) so I theorised that maybe the playlists you listen to impacts the number of artists you listen, cause every other week at least I would listen to discover weekly, anime now, and the radio feature of new artists I listen to, so that’s probably where it adds up

So I think I listen to a greater variety of artists than I initially thought... also, I always venture out and seek for more great artists/albums or even singular songs so I guess all that searching has led me to try out a vast variety of artists with most of them not coming up in my radar again after I once gave them a listen...

Joey the alt-hip hop man. Guess I gotta check out MIKE. I find it also funny how similar my music listening traits are. Once I discover something super catchy to my ear I tend to play it into the ground until I’m ready to move on. I know for a fact this is why Helicopter by Bloc Party was one of my most played songs.
He just did that project with Wiki and Uncle Al that was so fire, I think he would probably like Navy Blue as well

Always love seeing people's Spotify Wrapped! I had a similar thing with the total listening time. Last year I listened for 53k minutes and this year it was more like 28k which I 100% attribute to me listening to RUclips mix playlists a lot more this year.
Top genre for me was Indie Pop, and my top 5 artists were: Lovejoy, Derivakat, James Marriott, The Family Crest, and CG5. Definitely recommend any of them but *especially* The Family Crest. Very underrated orchestral rock/pop group and probably in like my personal top 3 favorite artists tbh! They put out a new album this year and I thought it was so good

i only had 6000 minutes out of my 161000 with my favorite artist, so seeing so many people with a way larger percentage being their favourite artist kinda surprised me. also what surprised me was that my top genre was pop, considering i mostly listen to rock and metal
So mine is... 54,658 minutes, top genre is indie pop with also vocaloid and rock, my most listened song is "the book of lies and the universe" by keiichi okabe (who also made the nier series soundtrack) which is a beautiful and short piano and violin melody. The artists on my most listened songs are demondice, fake type and my top artists was Camellia and I'm an adventurer too. Now thanks to my drumming classes I listened also to more jazz, blues, rock and some hip hop. I'll check out MIKE and these other artists
