I watched today in one go. And must say I have never watched such an edgy action thriller which also unfolds many untold truths.
I like director duo, Raj and DK's work. Go Goa Gone and now this. They are awesome.
Watch 99. You won't regret it. It's their best work.

i thought it was weird for you to compare it with Baby. But now that i think about that it does make a lot of sense. There are a lot of similarities. Also, Manoj Bajpai was indeed part of the Baby universe (if there's anything like that) i.e Naam Shabana. It is a coincidence but very interesting though.

Manoj bajpayee is simply an awesome actor but unfortunately a tad underrated. Watch his 'Shool', 'Satya', 'Kaun' and 'Aligarh'. Will demonstrate his array and range of his acting skill and prowess.
Made in heaven and fleabag are the best amazon prime shows. Fleabag is a must watch.
I will just watch it like the story of Manoj Bajpai character in Naam Shabana or you can say Baby franchise.

Both agencies have different levels responsibilities and different operational and tactical in terms of cross border operations, special reconssiance, sabotage, hostage rescue etc. In your USA, the same platonic differences you have between cia and fbi.
My point is wheareas manoj bajpai can operate within his own city( having a min scope to be with his family) akshay kumar's operations are mainly outside India and HE HAS TO LEAVE HIS HOUSE AND FAMILY when there is a call of duty

In India, there are Actors (Manoj Bajpayee and Irfan Khan) who command respect for their acting skills and there are persons branded as STARs, SUPERSTARS (Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and alike) who enjoy a huge fan-base that watches their movies, without considering it is good or bad, making sense or not, making movies commercial success. They compete whose nonsense crap (movie ) earns how many crores in a week. But when it comes to talent; no one dares to judge or count box office collections.
Many r going to subscribe Amazon Prime only after seeing Manoj Bajpai in a web series. He is the finest actor India ever got. He is God's gift to screens.

I get why you won't like Baby. But baby is a film that I enjoyed the first time I watched it , and still enjoy the 400th time I'm watching it on TV.
Idk how simplistically the film is created , it's just a proper TV film. I'd say like Dark Knight is a film I'd never get bored of (it's nor really even about getting bored of , the simplicity makes for a calm watch when you're rewatching) , like I wouldn't enjoy watching Endgame a lot , even if I loved it so much
