I did my thesis work on kashmir issues and I wrote the fact but JNU leftist failed me. I met one kashmiri pundit uncle from Ghaziabad who helped me a lot. But my hard work failed because I exposed truth and even our students and professors questioned on what basis I called those people terrorist? They were trying to defend those terrorist but showed less feeling for pundits. Such pathetic that JNU is. It really sucks bro . That's complete anti india University. No matter how much India and Indians are good they will remain silent but when they will see a single fault they will put blame on this great nation. American Soldier I m an ex Indian Army Soldier, I don't know why the attrocities on kashmiri pandits were not disclosed. I served in Kashmir for almost 8 years out of my total service and believe me we feel like we are serving in Afghanistan or Syria. There are lot of things which I can not tell you while chating. This movie is a true story. It's so sad. I actually know 3 guys, who were little boys, on one of the those trucks, fleeing in the dead of the night, not knowing if their parents are even alive. They are here, now 40 ish, and still never forget the hardships of deaths on street, the camp, living in fear.

I was about 15 years old when Pandits were being slaughtered in Kashmir, we did not even know what was happening, there were some news through radio in Kashmir, but that too was beyond our understanding. We only used to hear that riots were taking place, but now I understand that the Hindus of Kashmir were being killed in their own home, not in their own city, their daughters were being raped to make them leave Kashmir. Forced riots happen from both sides, it was religious bigotry against Hindus

Every single incident in the movie is true. 400,000 to 500,000 Kashmiri Pandits had to flee Kashmir and a 1,000 were either killed or raped. Yes the lady who was talking on the T V was Benazir Bhutto ( The PM of Pakistan) at that time. The video tape of the man who admitted to killing 25 Kashmiri Pandits is freely available. In 1971 Bangladesh liberation war Pakistani armed militia killed 3 million people and raped 200 thousand women. Most of them are Hindus. After Liberation the Hindu population in Bangladesh was 22%. Now it's drastically reduced to 8%. Most of the Hundus, minorities had to fled or convert their religion because of the extremist group. But unfortunately the government, media's are silent.

The words/slogans in Kashmir during this time- Asi gachi Pakistan, Bata ros ta batanev san. meaning (We want Pakistan, with Kashmiri Hindu women and without their men-folk) which were put on loud speakers of every mosque, eventually became the word "aazadi" or freedom, and to Kashmiri Pandits the word "aazaadi" is nothing but a terrorist cry. When people say "free Kashmir," next to palestine I want to really ask them what kashmir and what kashmiris they want free, and what their meaning of freedom is, is it make Kashmir a vulnerable independent state for China and Pakistan to exploit, or make Kashmir a part of Pakistan which has a history or terror and economic hardships? And what make you think that Kashmir is being oppressed, is it because you follow the narrative from the left, or have you never heard of the KAshmir before the Tabliqis or is your voice for oppression only for some but not others? And why do you feel the need to victimize a community that throughout history has done the same shit over and over again to many other people across the world, but not care for the real victims?
and to answer the questions:
1. the woman is not pakistan she I think represents the urban naxals/liberal sect of India that refuses to acknowledge the horrors of Hindus in that region and the region across have faced, and they have their political and money motivation to do so.
2. No the community of Kashmiri Pandits are still refugees in their own country.
3. The reason why no one helped was because Hindus were never really welcomed by Muslims in that area, despite being the first ones to inhabit Kashmir and also being the ancestors of many Kashmiri Muslims today. The scene where the lady is inside hurled up near food bags was a real story. The family was hiding in the storage unit of the house where they kept their rice and grain for the winter. The husband was inside the container of the rice, when the terrorist came looking for the family, in their house, they saw the house was empty so they decided to leave, then a lady from next door came out and told them that the family was hiding in their storage unit and the went back and killed the husband and made the wife eat the blood soaked rice. These are the same devils chanting for freedom and talking about insurgency and torture by the Indian army today. It tells you a lot about the mentality of these people when they want to become part of a failed state because of religion rather than focus on their state's growth and take advantage of the somewhat financial security Indian government provides for them. So people like this would never help anyone, forget their own neighbors.

I watched the film today and I must say that it's heart-wrenching to see some of the scenes. I couldn't control my tears. This is a brutally honest film. Although many scenes from this film were removed to tone down the film even this masterpiece is must watch. The holocaust is real and in progress. It happened in Kashmir and if things will not be addressed it will happen in several part of country .

The story of Kashmir is
It started at the time of Independence from britishers. Before Independence India was divided into many kingdoms and states. When we got Independence muslim league(party) said we want a separate country on religious basis. Sadly it was accepted and Britishers drew a dividing line(as present) to form Pakistan. Then our home minister united most of the states and kingdoms to merge in India except some including Kashmir. Later that excepted states also were merged in India but not Kashmir. Their king said that we will be neutral and will not go to any country. Pakistan forced him to come in Pakistan but he declined. Then Pakistan started to destabilise Kashmir by using army. Then king asked India to help. But India said we don't have any right on your land how can we. If you decide to come with India we will help. Then the king signed Instrument Of Accessions with India. Pakistan didn't accepted this. Then India sent forces and made Pakistani army to step back. Pakistan started creating problems with India then our government went to UN. UN supported India and told Pakistani amry to completly step back and Indian army to keep limited amry in Kashmir then solution can come because we had evidence that the king signed Instrument Of Accession with India. Then Kashmir demanded that they want special status when Kashmir got stabilised. Our government accepted and decided to bring Artificial 370 in which India will only have access of broder security, finance and communication of Kashmir and other things they will decide including many restrictions like no one outside of Kashmir can buy land in Kashmir and Kashmiri can't marry outside Kashmir. This time Pakistan got chance to destabilise internal Kashmir instead of invasion. Pakistan used terrorism because Military was expensive for them to attack on Indian army. Pakistan sent lots of terrorists, brainwashed local people and tried to destabilise Kashmir. The local people started violence against Indian army using stone pelting. But our army had no right to interfere in interior matter of Kashmir. Genocide and exodus of Kashmiri Hindus happened in 1989-90. All this destabilization happened until 2019 and then government abrogated Artificial 370. And India got full access of Kashmir and completely merged in India and now Kashmir got all democratic rights according to Indian constitution. Indian supreme court got jurisdiction of Kashmir.
Still Pakistan don't accept that Kashmir is merged in India.
And that's why we are victim of terrorism and we fought 4 war against Pakistan which Pakistan started first.....we didn't attacked first.🙄

Before Britishers, mughals tried to do geno sides of hindus but we gave them resistance. Kashmir is a hindu name, hindus lived there in majority for thousands of years but constant geno sides leds to complete demographic change. Many temples were destroyed and only some remains are left in kashmir. They burned nalanda and takshashila university which had great knowledge along with teachers and students. Its been 32 years, still Kashmiri hindus live in camp provided Government, they become migrants in their own country.

I am a child born to a kashmiri father in delhi post exodus time period. Now my great grandfather migrated to delhi during partition, so My family did not have to face this genocide. But I do know a friend whose family left kashmir during that time (they went back to kishtwar this year only, after 33 years)
This movie, made me feel crazy. Somewhat helpless. My blood boiled seeing my people getting slaughtered like that. And the fact that it was released on my birthday (11th march) I just really wanna thank the director for this. Finally the truth is out in the public.

I was 14 year old kid then i was caught in cross fire many times
Once i had to walk / hitch hike back to my village from my school in Srinagar when hindu killings were at peak distance was around 80 kms hiding my identity it took me around 12 hours my parents were so worried my father wept like a kid when i reached my home
Legs of one of my uncle who worked as a daily wager in Indian army were broken and burnt alive in his house
Another uncle who was director civil supplies reported Indian ration was being confiscated for terrorist's was shot
Around 30 bullets were found in his body
Astonishing fact is that our own govt let us down to appease huge vote bank of Indian muslims
And hindu's stayed indifferent as it did not concern them for them it was something happening far away from their homes
