great shoes, just bought myself a pair of them, my first meindl. What worries me is there are a lot of reviews about the soles coming away from the shoes with Meindl making excuses to the customer. Hope these shoes don't go the same way

Most of the time this is down to user error rather than Meindl themselves. Give them a clean after each use (even if it's just a hose down) and don't dry them on a radiator or other strong heat source; these are typically the cause of sole units coming away and fabrics degrading excessively. Prevention is always better than a cure! Kind regards, Harry.

We've got no first-hand experience with it I'm afraid. All of the Meindl we stock/have used can be found here: www.trekitt.co.uk/meindl

Thank you for this interesting review.
I like the general look of those shoes and the technical specs seem great. Must be comfortable.
But I won't buy it... for a reason that will maybe appear nitpicking.
BRAND NAME in full letters on the most visible part of the shoes !
    2 things:
    - I dont't like to buy a good and feel like the maker will use me as a walking advertising panel in such an obvious way.
Why not a price tag and a QR code for online purchase ?
    - I don't like show off (costly pair from a costly brand who certainly worth every penny, but ,Hey! I m a discret guy)
A discret logo or the brand name in a more discret area of the shoe would be preferable to me (and more classy on the company's part).
I hate to feel like an advertising panel.

Hi, thanks for watching and for your comments. It's pretty normal for brands to put their logo on their products and I suppose that you could always use a marker pen to make it more discreet. The quality and construction of the shoes is however, beyond reproach.
