That’s not nu buck leather. It’s probably chrome leather. I bought some yesterday from go outdoors at £142. Nu buck has a grain to it, these don’t have grain thankfully. would be a problem to clean, so not durable enough for walking.

Interesting - the spec sheet definitely says NuBuck

Had mine for nearly 3 years, considering a lot of that time we were locked down, the wear on the Vibram sole is poor and needs replacing, or rather the shoe does as the sole cannot be resoled 🙁Unfortunalty for me I cannot find my size unless I go to Bramwell's and end up paying the RRP.

Interesting - I found the same with the Vibram soles on my North Face Hedgehogs, although I'm particularly heavy-footed and stomp around a bit. Thanks for your feedback, and I'll monitor them closely. The uppers seem very robust!

@@CampingSecretsUK Go Outdoors Blackburn have a *closing down sale (temporary closing for refurbishment). Alot of things are marked down in store. The Caracas on the shelf are priced £129.50 plus I got an extra 10% off with a blue light card. I also picked up some Scarpa Boreas Gtx mids for £93. My friend picked up the Merrell MQM 3s for £76. Definitely worth a visit if you're not too far from Blackburn. Bring a blue light card to maximise your savings!
