Thanks so much for this video! I'm in an outpatient neuro rehab program that's been incredibly helpful, but sleep continues to be a major challenge. I was googling TBI and insomnia because I want to understand why getting to sleep feels impossible sometimes, and your overview popped up. I love how clear and reassuring it is, and it helped me remember that there are things I can do - tonight, in fact - to at least make sleep more likely. It was like getting a house call from a really lovely PM&R doc at just the right time. I really appreciate it - and you for doing the work you do. :)

On the Utah Neuro Rehabilitation RUclips channel, we have several videos on improving arm use in hemiparesis. Also, check out the cerebral palsy play list. Also, you could see physical and occupational therapists.

Injections of Botox or Dysport can help spasticity.

Several fatigues and one severe stress reaction and my brain don’t want to go in to sleep. Depending in medication for this and no one takes it seriously so it’s a fight for every time i need refill of medication. Seems there is like no knowledge about this among doctors.

In the first few weeks after brain injury, a lot of rest during the day can help. But after that, it is best to sleep at night and then take a short nap during the day. It is really helpful to take brain breaks every hour or so throughout the day. On this channel, we have several videos on brain breaks.
