  • The Tight Loops Fly Tundra is finally complete! Take deeper dive into why we chose a Fleet model Flatbed Four Wheel Camper over the traditional Hawk used in full size trucks. We couldn't be happier with how this build turned out, this truck is unrecognizable from its original state. We wish our friends over at ‪@TightLoops‬ safe travels as they take this truck to new heights!
    Special thanks to Tight Toops for providing footage of their journey in the new truck out west.

    That is an absolutely awesome build. Looking forward to seeing the future performance of the truck and camper as Chase and Aimee put it into operation.

    Those wheels are just what I've been looking for now that Rockwarrior 17s are no longer made and the used market has just about dried up!

    Ok I’ll ask: total build cost?

      They never like to post that for some reason, but I would say about 48 to 55k range, not cheap or should I say inexpensive. 😏

    How much did the flat bed conversion cost? I have a second gen Tundra that I would like to convert.

    Was that a double cab 6.5 bed truck?

    Are you under payload capacity? How? I would want a f250 or better yet a f350. I would want to bring bikes & kayaks to.

    Great build gents! Which MLO site did you do this at?

    Awesome build. Is there room for the camper to sit back a bit on the tray for more storage between cab and camper?

      @MainLineOverland  Год назад +1

      You could shift it back a few inches on the tray, but really having as much weight forward of the rear axle is optimal.

    Would this build and spec be achievable with a crew max? Really like all the choices you guys made for a narrower build that’s mindful of the dreaded cab over gap.

    • @MainLineOverland
      @MainLineOverland  Год назад +1

      The downside of the crew max is that it puts a lot of the weight behind the rear axle which can negatively impact the weight distribution and vehicle handling dynamics.

      For sure. Curious if a f150 with HDPP was thrown into the mix of rig options. Much higher payload than a tundra.

    Awesome build!! How does the camper secure to the trey?

    • @MainLineOverland
      @MainLineOverland  Год назад +1

      Thanks! The camper bolts down to the tray at four points with backing plates top and bottom. Removing the camper is surprisingly easy.
