Urban decay formula is great for normal people who love makeup and don’t need 100 palettes. It’s very buildable. It can be sheer for office/ errands/ no makeup look and very jazzy for party makeup and Smokey seductive look. Just one palette will be enough. All the naked palettes are good!! Love it. I wish they get the hype they deserve
So many RUclipsrs I loved have left and moved to TikTok. I like tiktok but the content just isn’t the same over there. I love longer content that I can just let play while I’m doing something. I’ve been watching you 10+ years and am grateful you’re still around ❤
I've been into makeup and skincare my entire life - I even went to aesthetics school and have never stopped loving it. But with age comes a lot of contentment. At 61 I'm really happy with the skin I'm in and while I've spent thousands and thousands of $$ on makeup & skincare, I'm appreciating the pared-down basics. It's nice just choosing one of two blushes in the morning, a pink and a coral. Not having to make so many decisions while trying to get out the door is quite refreshing and I'm really loving it. Yes, I still love long-form content, it's my first choice, so as long as a subject is relevant, I'll be watching.
Please do not change a thing about your channel!! I so enjoy your videos. You teach us something about application and products and I love that. A lot of other creators who began their channel with tutorials, have now evolved into a “shopping” channel. I am getting a little cynical about their motives. Moira highlighter, a couple of powders you recommended, but I am mostly a Sephora shopper and I don't go on Tik Tok. I love IG shorts and RUclips shorts. I will never be on Tik Tok. I do not understand why you are not gaining subscribers You are the best. You are the best at the make up you are the best at being authentic and caring and empathetic and cute and funny and wise. I mean 987,000 is still a lot of subscribers but I wish that it grew back up to 1 million and beyond. I’m one of those people who will probably never buy the naked pallette because of financial concerns, but I watch every video you put out it’s just a warm hug and many many many of your comments have said the same the last few videos that had comments about serious illness, and you being a light in the day, really touched my heart, it truly is like having a friend spend time with you when you’re going through something devastating and Emily pops up on your phone ❤

As inactive accounts get regularly purged, I’ll lose people who may have been subscribed waaaayyy back when I started in 2007 but haven’t been active recently. So I totally understand that. I wish you would swatch more often on your hand or arm instead of just applying it on your face. I don’t have the same skin tone as you and it’s not as helpful when you just put it on your own lips, eyes, cheeks, etc. That might help you with subscribers.

La colors, wet n wild, profusion, elf etc. Above $10 cannot be justified for me, frugal is the way to be! I love makeup, and i love your videos that focus on creating "a look" I will be honest that i have taken breaks from your channels and others because of over consumerism. I'm 52, and it hasn't slowed down, couldn't imagine it any different. You are the very first person I followed and imo, the absolute best!❤ I'm a full time caretaker, sometimes don't even leave the house for days on end, but I'm getting up and putting on a full face of makeup. I've been noticing your shorts! Loving them! Urban Decay used to be one of my dad's clients (before they were bought by Loreal) so we used to get SO MUCH UD makeup for free, including the naked palettes! And back then I didn't even wear makeup, so I used to just give a lot of it away to all of my friends. But I did keep the naked 1, 2 and 3.

I started watching you in middle school and I’m 28 now… that’s some crazy math, I think I’ve been watching your videos for more than half my life 🤯 back in early RUclips, you were the only “beauty guru” who took drugstore brands like wet and wild seriously which was all I could afford with my baby sitting money. Can’t forget when I saved up enough my sophomore year of high school to buy my first high end purchase, the naked palette. We've come full circle I loved my Naked Pallette. I had to toss my old one I hit pan on every shade and was sad to see it go to my makeup grave yard knowing it was discontinued. Happy to see it back even if only for a short time.
I have been watching you for 7 or 8 years religiously, though I don't always comment. It is very refreshing hearing you talk about your YT channel and to know that a creator of your size still struggles sometimes with the same things us micro creators do. My channel isn't in the beauty realm, moreso in the nostalgia/music/movies type of content. But it's still hard to keep it fresh, and be able to draw in new people but also entertain and inform your dedicated audience. Seems like any gains I make- it's a 1 step forward, 2 steps back kind of deal. It gets frustrating but I love it and it's my creative outlet so I keep on keeping on!

I tend to not wear a lot of make up due to the environment ~ however I still watch and enjoy every one of your videos 🙏🏽💕 I do wear lip products and mascara/eyebrow products but not a lot of base make up …. Half of them don't make content anymore or stopped doing makeup tutorials, but mostly you are top notch. You educate, inspire, and have never changed since day one. I know you've done similar in the past, but I would love to see tutorials for makeup through the decades. I'm really into 40's and 60's esthetics. I would love to see you, specifically, make these tutorials...maybe with a bit of modern edge/slightly updated but inspired by eras past.

My love for makeup has slightly died down, but not significantly. I'm very into skincare now! I still watch your videos and other makeup videos, just not as often like i use to. But that's because of all the makeup videos i have watched over the years, I have now learned what I really love and feel like i don't need to experiment as often anymore. I'm still watching, Em!! I did not own the OG Naked (I'm a Naked 2 girl), but at the point in my makeup life, I have these shades over and over. So I'm probably leaving it. But it is beautiful!
If I could make a suggestion for growth- I would really suggest trying to do more shorts here too. Even if it’s just 1 a week. Now you can link directly to full length videos, so it will act as a feeder to your channel and main videos. I know it’s annoying with all the different time restrictions across platforms, but it would be worth it!

Emily, I subscribed to you 12 years ago when I was first discovering makeup. I re-subscribed upon seeing this video, as I picked up the Naked rerelease as well and have been watching videos about it. I think you could benefit from trying different looks, as more natural makeup is popular these days. You could also appeal to a mature audience as most of our skin has changed and it’s hard to find videos of that nature. Best wishes ❤

Tiktok makes me cringe. All the lip syncing and stupid dances give me second hand embarrassment. And the clips are so short. It’s literally rotting people’s brains 🤯
Your channel is unparalleled. Always dependable, personable, and on topic. I finish my products before replenishing them and am a minimalist makeup buyer. Meanwhile, I still enjoy seeing all the new products available.
I’ve watched you for YEARS. Since before you had your kids. I think you still had your day time job. I don’t comment hardly ever but I said I’d say “hi” now if the comments will help you. I never had any of the naked palettes. I used to be thinking about 3 but I never got it after.

MY LOVE FOR MAKEUP HAS DEFINITELY NOT DIED! I'm really just not a huge drug store girl. I'd have to buy even more makeup if I were to convert. There are a few drug store products I use. Moira highlighter, a couple of powders you recommended, but I am mostly a Sephora shopper and I don't go on Tik Tok. I love IG shorts and RUclips shorts. I will never be on Tik Tok. I do love love love your eyelooks. You are my favorite RUclips eye go-to person! And you gave my Milani eye primer! Please don't be frustrated. I don't see Wayne Goss increasing anymore either.
I watched your channel every morning for 10 or so years and haven’t for the last two years because I developed an obsession with audiobooks…lol! I’m happy to come back now that I’ve calmed down a little on my reading goals

I do not understand why you are not gaining subscribers You are the best. You are the best at the make up you are the best at being authentic and caring and empathetic and cute and funny and wise. I mean 987,000 is still a lot of subscribers but I wish that it grew back up to 1 million and beyond. I’m one of those people who will probably never buy the naked pallette because of financial concerns, but I watch every video you put out it’s just a warm hug and many many many of your comments have said the same the last few videos that had comments about serious illness, and you being a light in the day, really touched my heart, it truly is like having a friend spend time with you when you’re going through something devastating and Emily pops up on your phone ❤

As inactive accounts get regularly purged, I’ll lose people who may have been subscribed waaaayyy back when I started in 2007 but haven’t been active recently. So I totally understand that. I’ve been around a long time, and because of that, I try not to concern myself with the subscriber count. They will come and go! I wish you would swatch more often on your hand or arm instead of just applying it on your face. I don’t have the same skin tone as you and it’s not as helpful when you just put it on your own lips, eyes, cheeks, etc. That might help you with subscribers.

La colors, wet n wild, profusion, elf etc. Above $10 cannot be justified for me, frugal is the way to be! I love makeup, and i love your videos that focus on creating "a look" I will be honest that i have taken breaks from your channels and others because of over consumerism. I watch more lifestyle videos now, but i keep coming back for your personality and chatty grwm videos on Saturdays are so comforting, like visiting with a friend who also loves makeup. Hello Emily!!🌞 I have noticed you're posting more short form content, I follow you everywhere, lol. I myself, have the same, matched amount of love of makeup as you do. I'm 52, and it hasn't slowed down, couldn't imagine it any different. You are the very first person I followed and imo, the absolute best!❤ I'm a full time caretaker, sometimes don't even leave the house for days on end, but I'm getting up and putting on a full face of makeup. I've been noticing your shorts! Loving them! Urban Decay used to be one of my dad's clients (before they were bought by Loreal) so we used to get SO MUCH UD makeup for free, including the naked palettes! And back then I didn't even wear makeup, so I used to just give a lot of it away to all of my friends. But I did keep the naked 1, 2 and 3.

I started watching you in middle school and I’m 28 now… that’s some crazy math, I think I’ve been watching your videos for more than half my life 🤯 back in early RUclips, you were the only “beauty guru” who took drugstore brands like wet and wild seriously which was all I could afford with my baby sitting money. We've come full circle I loved my Naked Pallette. I had to toss my old one I hit pan on every shade and was sad to see it go to my makeup grave yard knowing it was discontinued. Happy to see it back even if only for a short time.

I have been watching you for 7 or 8 years religiously, though I don't always comment.
It is very refreshing hearing you talk about your YT channel and to know that a creator of your size still struggles sometimes with the same things us micro creators do. My channel isn't in the beauty realm, moreso in the nostalgia/music/movies type of content. But it's still hard to keep it fresh, and be able to draw in new people but also entertain and inform your dedicated audience. Seems like any gains I make- it's a 1 step forward, 2 steps back kind of deal. It gets frustrating but I love it and it's my creative outlet so I keep on keeping on!

Emily, I am Aussie and have followed you since Apartment days! I love make up but I live in a very hot sweaty and humid Australian city and I am a face sweater.
I tend to not wear a lot of make up due to the environment ~ however I still watch and enjoy every one of your videos 🙏🏽💕 I do wear lip products and mascara/eyebrow products but not a lot of base make up …. I always trust your recommendations for those particular items.

Please don't ever stop making these videos. I began watching about13 years ago maybe longer and about 50 or more people I was subscribed to. Half of them don't make content anymore or stopped doing makeup tutorials, but mostly you are top notch. You educate, inspire, and have never changed since day one. I watched your children grow and what you do matters to me. I love makeup just as much as you, and its because of you that I found my outlet, my excitement, and just something that makes me happy. I know you've done similar in the past, but I would love to see tutorials for makeup through the decades. I'm really into 40's and 60's esthetics. I would love to see you, specifically, make these tutorials...maybe with a bit of modern edge/slightly updated but inspired by eras past.

My love for makeup has slightly died down, but not significantly. I'm very into skincare now! I still watch your videos and other makeup videos, just not as often like i use to. I just don't have time like i use to to play with makeup aor try new makeup as often as I use to. But that's because of all the makeup videos i have watched over the years, I have now learned what I really love and feel like i don't need to experiment as often anymore. I'm still watching, Em!! I did not own the OG Naked (I'm a Naked 2 girl), but at the point in my makeup life, I have these shades over and over. So I'm probably leaving it. But it is beautiful!
If I could make a suggestion for growth- I would really suggest trying to do more shorts here too. Even if it’s just 1 a week. Now you can link directly to full length videos, so it will act as a feeder to your channel and main videos. I know it’s annoying with all the different time restrictions across platforms, but it would be worth it!

Emily, I subscribed to you 12 years ago when I was first discovering makeup. I re-subscribed upon seeing this video, as I picked up the Naked rerelease as well and have been watching videos about it. I think you could benefit from trying different looks, as more natural makeup is popular these days. You could also appeal to a mature audience as most of our skin has changed and it’s hard to find videos of that nature. Best wishes ❤
