Love your videos. I have looked at several illustrator tutorials and I find that your videos are the best. Thank you so much I have learned a lot from your videos.
Love this and love the detail of your work! As a designer I love finding videos like this that inspire you to try new things so thank you for taking the time to do these (:
You are a great inspiration and motivation :) can't wait to make my own. Great work! Can you make some coffee shop themed tutorials, like the foam, steam, cardboard textures, etc. Thanks again. Love your videos and the audio part is wonderful, very easy to understand, big fan.
Hi Teela, could you talk about current graphic design trends? I'm not a graphic designer and I dont really catch the trends. It would be nice to hear about them from your perspective.
Hi, I'm really enjoying your tutorials. If you are still taking suggestions for upcoming tutorials then I would love to suggest creating art work in the style of Rob Ryan. I'm sure there must be a really simple way of doing it but ATM my understanding of the tools is too limited. Any suggestions or tips along these lines would be great. Thanks, Cassia.
+cassia dickinson thanks so much for the recommendation! It looks like his work is all hand made paper cut outs, but I'll see what I can do :) Thanks for watching!
When I paste in front my icing never goes to the back like yours. Also, when I click the icing to make a clipping mask my icing completely dissapears and I'm left with a brown stroke. Any ideas what is happening. I'm not on a mac. But I'm doing exactly what you are.
Hi, I'm having trouble with the clipping mask. I believe I'm doing everything according to what you said but when I make the mask the icing disappears. I can see the outline when I scroll over but otherwise it's invisible. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong? Thanks
Hey! If you're masking it into 2 (or more) different elements, that'll cause it to disappear (even if those elements are grouped). If that's the case, you'll need to convert those elements into a compound path first. With them selected, go object > compound path > make, then apply your clipping mask
Its not the pink icing but the blue on the first donut when we are trying to get it in front of the donut but not across the center of the donut where the hole is. Any ideas?
Hey Teela, Really fun videos. Just wanted to ask, can we also make Patterns while these textures are added, I mean would that not make the file really heavy. and create any issue in repeats? Thanks
+Neelam Kaur You're totally right in thinking that. Here's what I would do: in Illustrator with the texture selected, go to object > rasterize - that will reduce the size in the clipping masks. To take it further, you could then drag that rasterized texture into your swatches palette and then click on the shape and then on the swatch to apply it :)
I am a new subscriber, I never comment on any videos - but I need to tell you that I am in love with your videos! Please never stop making them :)

The exact same thing is happening to me and I'm doing exactly what she says too.
