Found unexpected tutorial on expected tutorial. Came her to see how to make stroke, but ended (now) having knowledge of the power of pencil tools. I've doing it wrong for past 7 years.... You don't know how thankfull I am toward you....

You’re a great teacher, thank you for laying out every single step. I can’t tell you how many design I have unfinished because the video I watched left out one little detail that might be obvious to someone that knows illustrator but not known to someone that’s learning.

Thank you! It worked. You have taught me so much over many years with procreate and now I'm back learning illustrator. I used this lesson but choose to create my motif all in illustrator. Starting with a straight vector line made it easy to match up and I still used your tip on making the line taller than the first motif after my perfectly spaced lined-up try didn't work. I learned, always listen to the teacher:)

Pretty spot on, though, I was wondering why you didn't just C the left and right side top to bottom, ruler out, align bottom verts with top, cleanup. I totally get if it's just habit though, I'm still running blender 2.49b, which is 7+ yrs old.
Old habits die hard. Thanks for refreshing my noggin.

Is there a way to specify the spacing on these? I use illustrator to make leather patterns. These patterns need stitching holes. It would be incredibly useful to create brushes with the correct punch hole spacing that could be applied to any line or pattern.
