I can't help but cry imagining my Shih Tzu by looking at that underbite!!!
I have a pug mix that has the cutest underbite, because of his big pug eyes and the underbite anytime he plays his head down and just looks around he looks so depressed but really he's a really happy dog lol
My little border terrier is missing a lot of her front teeth, and she has the funniest underbite. Sometimes her tongue will just kind of slide out of the gap and just stay there haha.

We should be thankful that there was a call. The reason he was so easy to rescue is how long he had been using people to get food in that park so he may have been a little antisocial before.
First of all, since the people at the park were feeding him, how do we know they didn’t intend to attempt a rescue?
Second of all- he was sort of easy to rescue. He also seemed pretty good at skittering away, so he more or less chose to be rescued .
Third- if I were feeding a stray dog and I saw Loreta and Eldin coming my way, I’d definitely let them take over. They have the vet services, the fancy bath treatments, the medicine, the surgical team.
There are a lot better people in the world to hate on than these two.
Tiny Mac I used to be a rescuer in Puerto Rico so I know exactly what this people goes through rescuing. I am releived that he is safe but it is always the easiest way is to call someone else to do the job when as you aaw here sometimes it is not that hard.
But anyways my point is how insensitive is people to lives around them. Bye
Kelly Alves Before taking the time to write an essay read carefully I wasn’t blaming those two people I was including all the people that walked there o saw the dog for months( because the title says the dog lived there for a long time). His condition shows that he was wandering for a lo g time so that was it. No lore no less.

Happy looks just like my Maltese-Max. Maltese are such wonderful pets how in the world did Happy become abandoned. He is very lucky to have you guys that have such big and generous hearts and you care so much you are willing to drive so far to pick him up, groom him and arrange foster until a “forever” home is found. A whole year and no one helped until you guys? What is wrong with people
That was my first thought. If I went to a park and this little guy came looking for food, looking like he did he was clearly a stray, he would have gone home with us, no questions asked. But then, We have 2 dogs, 1 cat, 3 ducks, 3 sheep and over a dozen chooks, including roosters, all rescued, so we are probably odd :)
Over a year living in a park, with tons of people knowing he's there...and no one rescued him??????!

What I don’t understand - the folks who called the hotline - why didn’t they just pick the dog up and take to a local shelter? I mean - thanks for calling but a two-person HFP team shouldn’t need to drive 6 hours round-trip to make this rescue. And why did the poor doggy need to live at the park for a year before anyone did anything? A dog staying in the park for more than a day or 2 should have made someone do something.
Yes I too found myself thinking the same as yourself. Very odd and suspect, indeed.
Because the callers wanted the dog to go to a safe and loving home not a dog pound in the CV where he could end up euthanized.
I was thinking the same thing. And they said Central Coast but not where? I lived in Pismo Beach and there are a lot of dedicated people that rescue dogs.

Who would not want to help even within a day? Maybe it was some odd mistake to say a year and yes I would think you are correct about people being nearby who would help.

This videos make me happy but also sad at the same time. So glad this dog got a happy ending though.
Just once I'd love it if my dog behaved like that in the bath. Instead, it's always a "fight to the death" with me and the entire bathroom getting soaked. She's just a little Jack Russell but seems to develop surpercanine strength in the bathtub!
It's the giant in her wanting to come out, I had a Jack Russell and he was the same gutsy
