I truly hope it works out for them - but I somehow doubt it, I mean the kid will grow up she'll need a real room she can stand up in (even more so as her parents considered that important for themselves - but not for the kid!) and a desk to do homework etc...sorry to be the party-pooper here, but I think it's ill advised to move into a tiny house with kids (unless you can really give them a room of their own, even if it's just a truly small one (as long as the bed fits and there's room to do homework and maybe put in a computer (or a TV and gaming console)...seriously, kids need their own space :(

@@livingbig Wait, they have a kid? How are they going to deal with the kid needing its own room with a desk etc. (note: Haven't seen more than the first minute...so yeah, I guess I'll just have to watch and see)...I mean I get that one person could live in a tiny-house and two (if none is introverted and needs his or her space - which unfortunately I do, so sharing that space? Impossible, I'd go nuts, bonkers, crazy!) if necessary, but three is stretching it IMHO!)
Edit: So the kid has a "room" (as long as she's still young that works, but how about when she's growing up? I mean you can't give her a "stop growth" pill (not to mention that it would be unethical even if you could!))...don't think that'll work well when she's older however :(

      Anonski
I follow a German RUclipsr, who built one and really filmed the process in detail, including listing all the costs down to the last cent.
She ended up spending around 35.000 €. That house needs to withstand winter temperatures though...so proper insulation and a gas furnace had to be put in. It’s a basic built, nothing fancy (and with a lot o work done by her), but you could probably manage to spent less, if you buy second hand appliances for the kitchen and stuff. Or just make do with a small gas cooker at first and upgrade as you go.
A built like the one in this video, would be way, way more though...and make sure, you have a plan as to where to put it and what the regulations and stuff are. Because that can be a huge issue, unless you own land.

In Australia this is true because the laws make it hard to park a tiny house unless there's an established home somewhere else on the land. Basically, the people whose parents have land are the best off in terms of doing this. In NZ there seem to be looser rules and people can do more unusual things.

finally a tiny house where the kids room isn’t something they won’t be able to use in a few years. looks like a bigger bed could even fit in there when she gets older, i love it! the whole house feels like it’s almost full size. truly impressive and it was a diy build!!

Bryce, this one made me cry. I knew it would be good based on your excitement in the intro! It's sooo beautiful and child friendly. I live in a tiny house and I'm planning on adding at least another 144 square feet and this has provided so much inspiration. I looove the plants! I feel like I want you to go back every month 😀. I can't wait for the update! You've made my Month. Thanks for sharing.

Of all tiny home channel, Bryce and Rasa's Channel is the best. Bryce really brings out the personality of the owner while featuring the house plus he got that energy that makes the house owners proud of the piece of art they created. Living big in a tiny house is really the best.

me too - I had thought of a rectangular frame that you would just extend up once you settled. So not a wedge but even more head space. The wedge is also a great idea. Doesn't seem that complicated as he said...
