#fireemblem #fireemblemengage #feengage In this video I demo why Tier 4 Well Meta is ideal and T3 is not that good. It is all about SP, gold is USELESS in your bank, spend it on SP.
the master seal problem mainly comes from runs with dlc cause you prob wanna do all those maps before enemys get promoted and you wanna use all the emblems as soon as you can so this ends up with you doing 6 unindented maps were you can gain so many levels and miss out on promoted and reclassed growth rates
The one thing I can say about that is if your worried about growth rates is don’t promote Alear or any of the royals and just promote the other characters that you want to use the unique promotes only give like 5% extra in a few of their stats where is if you promote chloe to griffin knight it’s 10-15 % extra
I promoted the broad royals because I needed axe users and I was 100% not gonna use Boucheron lmao. I double sealed on alcryst for longbow backup cheese and promoted Diamant for a bulky ace user.
Master Seal economy pre chapter 10 isn't really about the game being too hard if you don't promote your units I don't think. I think it's mostly about people wanting to promote their units exactly at 10 to be optimal and it's really easy to get a bunch of units past 10 before you have enough seals to promote them.
@@yaycupcake wouldnt tiki starsphere negate that? Most unit promotes only give like 5 points , 10 at best more than their base class growth but tiki would give 15% more if you do decide to grind them to max level pre chap 10. So technically your not levelling with promoted growth rate but since you have access to well and tiki you technically have better growth rates than promoted classes and bonus if you do get a master seal on wells too. You get 3 master seals pre chap 10 plus tiki emblem so technically 4 units with advanced growths plus sp books to get starsphere onto your remaining units, and if you use yunaka you dont really need to promote thief and the game gives you two support units like framme and jean which even if you dont promote to martial master early is okay since the growth difference in monk to master is negligible at best. So you technically only need to learn starsphere on 1 or 2 units because of the limited deploy slots. Dlc also gives you free +2 stat boosters which you can look at as free 20 level ups since the growth lets say swordmaster is 10 strength and you would need 20 level ups to get 2 points in strength. Assuming base sword fighter has 0 point str growth
@@kiretan8599 but the higher your internal level is, the more difficult it will be for them to level up. You dont want your units to be struggling to level up after promotion after all
@@vaquishers but cupcake’s argument stems from not playing optimally though, if you want to play optimally then you would min max promotions and finishing dlc maps in such a way that you will gain the max stats with the most minimal waste in exp then you won’t encounter being high internal level with unpromoted classes to begin with.
Iced Coffee Gaming: you dont want these 20 units everyone gets an upgraded weapon... Me with full 14 unit roster, everyone with +3 weapons including range and effective vs options and 2 max level skills, even non-deploys have candy loadouts: 😢 Jokes aside, assuming DLC, I think early Starsphere with Well is crazy, especially because +15 Bld can put most units at 20 Bld growth, letting some units double with weapons they normally have no business doubling with
Extra early Master seal is nice However Early second seal is more interesting Early Sage Anna or Wyvern on Chloé/Alear Even swapping Jean into another base class early could be big Or uh give Vander a different promoted class if that's your thing I guess
Tier 4 meta is real but the early early game economy balances it out if you are trying to maximize donations and invest in a full team. I wanted to get Brodia to lvl 4 asap and Firene to lvl 4 before ch17 and resources for the well got tight. If you on't care about donations getting level 4 consistently is really easy. If you have a team planned out and not just experimenting on builds, you can make your statistical monsters regardless. Snowballing a select few units in the early game definitely helps with that. In my latest run, I got Etie to Warrior as soon as possible and she's actually putting that Silver Bow to work lol (I have a project to make her a mini Lyn with Speedtaker and Alacrity inherited but with the Lief emblem). Not tryna discredit your point, but our views of the game changes as we play the 5 man has been amazingly fun and memeworthy but you don't HAVE to restrict the team size that much to see results, you just need to make sure your only feeding exp to the units you are planning to use.
I don't think a full team makes sense even under normal play, I think running a 70-80% deploy team or 4-7 hard carries and the rest as utilities is the way to go. This way you don't need to spread yourself thin upgrade/resource wise and can also funnel XP/SP into the hard carries who can enemy phase multiple things for lethal damage per turn vs player phase and pray your units can survive enemy phase. Unfortunately we live in a society
@@IcedCoffeeGaming Would have to agree that 70-80% deployment rate would be the most efficient for exp/resources. I think I'm just personally obsessed with building my units and pairing them with their best emblem rings (and there are 12 of them lol). It becomes really hard for me to sacrifice deployment slots when entering the midgame and they feed you so many good units :)
I ran non crit build lapis last madenning vanilla run with sword power 5 . she was insane, she basically one rounds everything, gave her armorslayer+4 for armor, and silver sword +3 with mic engrave got build+3 early then changed it to alacrity in lte game( could have better options like dodge+30 i think) no one can hit her and her passive negates -10 avoid on sword power! Thats before i got feh weapons, with feh weapon she is more insane since i dont have to get build+3 early for her like i did with the silver sword. Her speed is godlike at late game that weapon weight wont matter anymore.
I just spammed relay battles for second and master seals at chapter 7. Had 15 of each (10% chance per participant rewards). But the well is nice for early silver weapons
I think the master seals are more about unit viability then difficulty. Let’s say you want to use alear, Lapis, Anna, and Chloe. Alear, Lapis, and Anna all want to reclass, Anna to a mage and Lapis/Alear To a wyver rider. However Chloe also wants to promote so she can carry the early game and be even better later on. Because the master seal economy will s limited, it negatively effects units like like Anna, Alear, and Lapis who have to compete for the promotion that makes them usable. For efficiency this problem is easy to solve by simply using 3 units or less, but it’s still an important thing to consider.
So far on my current playthrough I did nothing but tier 4 wells and at chapter 17 with the xenologs done. I went by these few rules and they have not failed me yet. Dlc obviously. 1) As soon as the well unlocks I went and did Tiki's paralogue for the silver card. With that in hand the tier 4 well cost went from 10 to 7k. 2) Any candy that comes out of the well except treat. If I already have a treat or 2 I start selling the extras. They are potent heals but the give crappy xp. Since I have the silver card 3 candies = one iron weapon. Which help me keep the 4 tier train humming. 3) Firene to level 2 and Brodia to level 4. I have need for the wo Dao or brave sword they gave me. All I cared about was the ingots and bond fragments. Wo Dao is worth 2500 and the brave sword is worth 8000. The brave sword was my insurance just incase I got low on well food. Which I did when doing the xenologs because you can't bring items you find there back to the main game. (Why even have chests in those?) So far tier 4 well train is very feasible if you ask me.
I wonder how can you reroll the well results? Maybe to save before putting the item in and if the result is no good then unload the save, play another chapter, and check again?
@yohanes yea save before you drop the items in then do a battle. I the results aren't to your liking then revert back to the save before dropping the items in. It's a tedious process because maps can be long. I really don't save scum for that reason.
@@brianwinters2285 yeah that's too much. I tried to reroll it when completing the mission and recheck but the results did not change. Using a save after completing a mission indeed reroll the allied units standing in maps, pets adoption location etc. but not things in somniel I guess
didn't know that inherited skills work as enhanced weapons lol, I did keep my SP to buy lance power 3 or whatever but if u take previous lance power it reduces augmented versions, good to know this late in the game
This may be dumb but I'm doing a run where I don't level Alear / Chloe / Framme until I get Tiki and will only run those for the DLC maps (with Starsphere), and powerlevel before the mid game. It's a fun challenge too since I don't usually use the units that aren't Alear / Chloe / Framme early.
So what characters would you recommend focusing on? Cause the way you said we shouldn't be playing is exactly how I've been playing my whole maddening playthrough lol I'm up to chapter 9 (EDIT: 10 now) where you start getting more characters and I'm finding it hard to choose who to bring with me to each fight now
I think going in blind, it can be hard. But, if you have a favourite character, I'm sure there's a build that can make them into carries (like reclassing Lapis to Wyvern Knight, or speedfixing hero Goldmary so she slaps hard and fast, Olwens ring on Thunder+4 Roy engraving Citrine makes her outright broken.). If in doubt, funnel resources into Alear and Chloe.
Just run relay trials if you want to use more early game units, hell, just never buy any only use relay trials If you can get master seals for free why buy them
Yeah, having the same experience on my 3rd mad having 3,000 sp skills by the time you hit chapter 10 maybe even earlier has made the early game so brain dead
I think the main argument for tier 3 instead of tier 4 is the ratio of SP to money, or chances to farm money, but what you say makes sense. Diminishing returns only matter if you make yourself too broke to donate to regions (while also buying staves and seals. Which can drop anyway). If tier 4 can still let you do chapter 13 on Solm level 4 after doing level 4 Brodia and level 2 Firene, then there wouldn’t be a reason to do tier 3 well for example. I see you’re only on chapter 7, but do you have any plans to sell some well items for the early donations and extra silver?
I feel like sword chloe Griffin knight is better than lance gk chloe simply because early levin sword Couple that with sword pwr like you did with lance power and she will be killing everything 1-2 range consistently
Tier 4 may be meta, but it certainly isn't fun, not for me at least. Yeah creating superheros can be fun, but I'd rather have a complete underdog team.
@@kilambrown4302 Or... Use the well but only up to tier 3 since I want my units to actually have items. But you're right, I could just not use the well. I could also not use my hands as well, turn off my brain while I'm at it /s
What do you say when you get nothing back after throwing stuff in? Oh well
I'll just reroll it by redoing last battle lmao
