Howdy I've recently released a few new versions of Jump that I hope will address some of the issues raised in the comments here. Thanks again for your support 😀
My Jump page was just the background and the top info visible and the other info was invisible. As I was setting Jump up , I signed up for OpenWeather. It took a while for Jump to work properly. I believe the delay for Jump to work properly was for OpenWeather to activate the key, because it started working after I got an email from OpenWeather saying my key was active.
Unfortunately I think I am facing the same issue you experienced , nothing is showing up just the search icon in the left upper corner and the tag icon ...no Icons are displaying .. !!! What was your resolution for that ?
The developer said this: " The Open Weather Map API key and location that you see in the readme are just examples, you need to provide your own for it to work. If you look at the docker logs you should see an error about the key being invalid."
@@DBTechYT It's one of the defining songs of the eighties. I'm not sure if the docker dashboard with the same name can live up to that very high expectation. I do see the positive sides of it, but atm I´m digging into Yacht, and see how that goes.

it depends on what your server setup is. Could be as simple as doing a chmod or chown for the directories or you might be able to change the permissions via a server dashboard.
@@DBTechYT it is set to everyone but when portainer tries to use a folder it locks it im also having an issue with jellyfin where none of my media want to play through it but it plays on anything else
That's an interesting question. I like "Jump" just fine. I really like "Homepage" and made a video about it a few days ago: ruclips.net/video/o9SLve4wBPY/видео.html. The only dashboard I have running is Organizr because I like how it can load the apps in the same page as the dashboard. Thing is that, even though I have Organizr installed, I don't really use a dashboard very often
Same if I'm being honest. I thought I'd use a dashboard, but I don't. I've got a few services that I use on a daily basis and I've got those URLs memorized, so a dashboard isn't really my thing, but I still like looking at them and seeing what they do and then sharing them with those who are interested in them :)
And? We talk about containerized services on this channel. So that's what the video is about. That's the great thing about self-hosting: There's no ONE right way to do it.
@@SebastianPerezG I don't disagree, but with this method, I can update the entire platform quickly and easily if the developer releases new features and it also keeps it isolated from everything else on the server. Again, different strokes for different folks.
I will stick with Heimdall for now, but this service is really easy to configure, i like it
Yeah. I don't see myself using this one, but I wanted to share it with everyone :)
@@DBTechYT Did a great job doing so

That's awesome!! I'll have to give it another look!!
@@DBTechYT Always interested interested in feedback, thanks again 😀

Thanks for sharing!
I’m hosting my agency websites on Linode and used your referral link.
Thanks!!

01:26 in and /already/ getting flashbacks to the year 1984 and a certain band and song.
I don't follow
Perhaps now ? ruclips.net/video/SwYN7mTi6HM/видео.html
Ah. I'll take it. I like Van Halen and I like that song!

Thanks for this. I had to delete API and Location for icons to show.

@@DaleDaviesUK i provided my own key and location and the icons didn’t show. When i deleted those lines icons were there.
Is your portainer working on a proxmox lxc container?
It is. I just deployed another just a few minutes ago for another container in my personal server :)
icons & title not showing on the Dashboard
It's been a bit finicky for me, too. Another viewer said this: "I had to delete API and Location for icons to show."

how would i set up the file perms so i can write to them it says contact administrator or file owner to get permission
it depends on what your server setup is. Could be as simple as doing a chmod or chown for the directories or you might be able to change the permissions via a server dashboard.
@@DBTechYT its set up through omv on a raspberry pi and running portainer
Then you should be able to set the permissions for the shared folder in OMV

@@alsgaming1426 Then I'm guessing your PUID and PGID in the containers is wrong or there's something else that we're not seeing at this point.

Video on Trafik hub
You can do this with a simple html , css and javascript page, no docker or useless services.
And? We talk about containerized services on this channel. So that's what the video is about. That's the great thing about self-hosting: There's no ONE right way to do it.
Yeah, I've yet see any of these dashboard that aren't just "slightly worse bookmarks as a service"
@@espenlund Yeah. Different people like/want different things out of their dashboards. Organizr is one of my favs!
@@DBTechYT im saying that this is an overcomplicated solution that you can resolve with html css and javascript that loads a json
