Thanks a lot! I really was enjoying myself a lot with this one :) If I hadn't just bought the previous PJD I'd had on the channel (the new ST. John Standard... it's a stunner) I'd have been keeping this one too ;) Try one if you ever get the chance!
Long form FTW! Rich i cant say enough how much i love your every tone i can think of (and a few I wouldn’t have guessed ) to show how an axe responds to all the various. Beautiful S type.
Other than adding a stainless steel frets there's not much else to improve this guitar. I think the price is reasonable including the name brand hardware and electronics and the finish looks original and wonderful. North of 1K gets you in Fender player series territory and the professional ranges of Ibanez and so on, so gets it's a bit busy in that range for choice. Probably the aesthetic and choice of traditional or modern become the deciding factors and they've certainly made something that stands out in terms of style. Personally, I'm not really a Strat guy and I suppose the "strat" in my collection is a cheap super strat in HSS configuration. I always found Strats weak in the pickup department and a humbucker in the bridge gives you more options I feel than the standard single coil. So this is outside my wish area but I think the price and features are fair for what they asking.
Really good comment, and I agree with all of it - and like you, I've never been much of a Strat guy either. I believe quite a few traditional Strat purists would not even consider this guitar because it's hardtail and HSS, but that for me (and clearly for you!) makes it far more usable. I've yet to find an alternative that beats the Woodford, but it's a search I'm happy to continue going into 2024! Cheers and rock on 😊
This is a very good strat for the money. Fender Stratocaster guitars are sometimes disappointing to me, because they cost a lot and the quality is not what I expect from guitar in that price range. An exception is the Stratocaster Player Plus PF SSB for around 1100€... just my opinion. The PJD strat is not just a copy of a Stratocaster, it has its own character and I really like the body shape, especially the neck heel excess joint is very good. The sounds of this guitar are really good, it's very versatile and I really like the rock sounds. For me personally I like to have a 2 point tremolo system. It has a different sound in comparison with a hardtail bridge and you always can use the tremolo system as a dive only system (different ways possible). The advantages are a different sustain and a sound "color" or "taste" that you can create with different trem blocks in different materials, so you can make this guitar sound more like you and the sound that's in your head. I like the block saddles from the PJD strat, because they bring more thickness in the tones and more sustain. Overall, the PJD strat is a very good guitar and it impresses with its quality and workmanship. 😊🤘

As always, this guy delivers a great in depth review and looks like he’s enjoying himself. Brilliant content and a brilliant guitar. I want one.

Beautiful S type.
Thank you good sir! I'm glad some folks enjoy the variety. And yes, this is one beautiful guitar!
Beautiful exotic wood Strat, comprehensive review. Have a nice weekend and thank you for the video. Greetings Pavel CZ.
Thanks Pavel, and the same to you!

👍🏻👍🏻
Cheers!
this headstock looks wrong on a strat.
I hadn't really thought about that, but I know what you mean. Still beats a Silver Sky one 🤗
