Thanks so much for watching our video! Here are some of this guitar's specs that I omitted when we were shooting the video. Body: Obeche (African hardwood) Hardware: Gotoh hardtail bridge; Gotoh vintage split shaft tuners Pickup: PJD Fat Nacho P90 Controls: CTS Volume & Tone pots; Mars-Tronic TrebleMaker treble bleed network It took just 5 minutes of playing to convert this avowed custom shop cork sniffer to the church of PJD! Check them out if they're in your neck of the woods!
Thanks Ric and Shane. It's great to see another of Ric's guitars. From what I've seen in the past they have been quite varied over the years and often not commonly seen. Always enjoys Ric's playing, especially the 70s/80s rock flavour.
Glad to see I’m not the only one with a set of garage shelves in my home studio. Finding a sturdy set is a mission these days. After all, they must carry the weight of my pedals.
Looks like Gibson has a competitor as this PJD guitar not only looks and sounds like a Gibson but it also caries a similar price tag of around $1900 USD at present. Nice to see Dr Ric back on the channel.
Always, Always, Always amazes me just how these guys get the sound recorded from the guitar without using an iPhone speaker. I tried making a video and believe me, I got nowhere close to anything like this.
Dr Ric, his great playing and many faces is back! 👍🏻 By the way, I can't believe he came over to Regent street in February - Cold & rainy over here. At least he got a great guitar out of the trip - he certainly didn't get sun stroke.
Great to see Dr Ric! I got two Jr style guitars. A double cut that I absolutely love and a LP style that comes out for the punk music! Built as a kit and man, it has that punk grunt for days! Just wish I had got into P90s sooner! In the market for a P90 neck and bridge guitar right now but it has to be "right" 🙂 Fantastic demo of what is achievable with a single P90!
I was just wondering the other day where Doc was, and welcome back. Hope to see some live jams. I have a project from a couple years back that I installed steel inserts in the neck, and machine bolts. I was just using parts I had laying around, and had P 90's but then went with mini HB's. It's still waiting to be be rewired and I have to trim some for pickguard to fit, but now I'm curious about the bolt neck again. That guitar has some Joe Walsh tones in it for sure.
I’m really getting into this guitar! It cuts through a loud band mix with brawny authority and the “Treblemaker” treble bleed network works so well for clean tones. Wire up your beast and have at it!
What a great PJD “what a sound “yes as you can see I’m a convert to the brand . Amazing guitars and best feeling neck I’ve ever played . BTW the case looks awesome 🤩
Thanks for watching our video mate! 100% agree about the beautiful PJD neck carve and construction…instant gratification for me! You’ll see this guitar in lots of videos from here on!
But there again,so do Gary Levinson guitar's Blades, Septure's: Strats, Tele's, and if can find one somewhere his Jazzmaster JM-L. Gotta like the PJD's

Nice 1 Ric. PJD makes some great guitars for 'reasonable' prices in the UK! \m/
After so many years, it’s great to see Dr. Ric and Shane still at it. 👍
Thanks 😀
That's what she said! ;oP
This channel is great!. Dr. Rick was in the zone!

Dr. Rick, that is one killer groove and lead playing! 😁👍👏👏👏
Shane and Dr. Ric! That guitar 🎸 is a BADASS!!!!!! Love it!!!!!🎸🔥🎸🔥🎸

Awesome jam track Dr. Ric !! You nailed it. That would have been a top 10 hit in the 70's.
Hi 👋
Great, straight-forward clip. Nice to see someone happy with their purchase. Would that other brands aspired to that level of satisfaction.
With Dr. Rick it's always instant guitar-face. He can't help himself, and I love it. 🙂
Patrick
Welcome back Dr. Ric

Good point mate! The 24/7 energy and insane history of London more than compensated for the crap weather!
Simon
Welcome back, Dr. Ric. Sounding awesome 👏👏👏👏👏
Gerry
Great to see the Dr back on the channel. Great looking and sounding guitar, and great playing. Ric never disappoints.
Greg
Very nice guitar 🎸 Great playing once again Ric. ❤
Anthony
Love this!
PJD make left-handed versions of many of their models, so Shane could keep a look out - especially if he makes a return visit to the UK.
Thanks, Craig. I'd definitely love to try one of these out. It's a great guitar. Cheers :)
Craig
I have threaded inserts in 2 of my guitars and I highly recommend them…it really makes a difference 👍
Eddie
Nice demo Dr Rick! Love the guitar. It had me jump right over to Reverb to look for PJD models.
Wow, got the need for another guitar...thanks guys :)
....and there's the purchase to match the shirt. Top pick @rselp, looks and sounds that stand out.
Hi 👋
Too much gain for me but what a gorgeous guitar. And nice to see Dr. Ric, love his playing.
That’s a really cool guitar! Perhaps I should pick one up and bring it home to Canada
Thanks, Shane & Dr Ric.
This might ruffle a few feathers, but with the use of the Tone knob, who needs 5 pickup options?

It seems there was a song about a guitar whose daddy was a Gibson and momma was a Fender.

Some very tasteful playing

Nice axe DR Rick also Nice playing!
Awesome opening jam!!!
Thanks!

Awesome playing Dr. Ric❗️Incredible. I prefer two pickup guitars but man, did you make it sing. Blues On....💙
Awesome sounds.
David
you could make any guitar sound good👍
Sound killer. Something about a single p90
Michael
Looks like a Strings n Things / St. Blues guitar out of Memphis Tennessee

Fangin' it Ric!!!
Dr. Ric? Dr. Shred is more like it. This Dr. is going to lose his license because he slays!
I Love P90s🎸
Nah, Telecaster Deluxe HH already covers Gibson and Fender baby.
Some real nice playing. The guitar is a looker. It's a good thing it looks like they don't make it in a lefty, since I couldn't afford it.
PJD do make lefty guitars.
PJD GUITARS ROCK

At least gibson cant sue them because of headstock. Fender instead.....This guitar is everything gibson gatekeepers hate.
It reminds me of the Bluesmaster from St. Blues Guitars out of Memphis, Tennessee.
Reminds me of a Beltone
Right handed guitars... eww...
