Dude is too humble, he fucking shreds something fierce. Love him
27:50 i love when Tony gets all stressed out when Jason wants to talk about non skate stuff all the time 😂 it’s honestly a nice change of pace when done right though and it humanizes the guests. especially skaters who are typically quiet and closed off
I don’t think he does it right often to be honest. I like Jason as a person but he derails this show a lot of times trying to be funny.
@@thinglizzy2718 I for one am here for it, Jason is hella funny can tell it keeps tony light and playful and always gets the personality out of the guests.
Paul’s modesty is very humbling. For him to say that when he gets around the younger generation, some days he doesn’t even feel like he knows how to skate is the most appreciative truth I’ve heard today.
Thank You Hawk 🦅
Thank you Wolf 🐺
Thank You Paul 🛹
P Rods been burning the pods up here lately man. He was one of my favorites as a kid still is. So humble man. God bless
Yeah man I love p rod . Him, nyjah, Luan , Shane and Chris’s cole too. Also shecks!
P rod still next level
What's the level? Or levels?
@@XstonedmonkeyzXyou need explained what “next level” means?😂 not the brightest crayon in the box huh?
@@STEEL4122 need explaining of joking/sarcasm? Might want to redirect that message to yourself don't ya think?
Usually, smart people can act dumb... But Really Dumb people think they know it all or are the smartest 🙂...
@@XstonedmonkeyzXthere are infinite levels to skateboarding. Hes always been doing tricks ahead of his time. Even now.
Tony's comment about calling the 720 the McHawk and wanting people to say it fast made me fall out of my office chair
Had to say it out loud to get it. Lmao Tony is a genius.
Stacy laughing "someday you'll get it- to Tony laughing at the talent of youth story is so rad.
P-Rod and Tony Hawk together in one room? Brings me back to the early-mid 2000’s. Best time of my life 💯
this podcast is great. Tony and Jason's chemistry is perfect
Yes I love it, I haven’t seen any of the latest episodes, I took a break from this pod cause I was simply watching way too many pods, and it’s awesome being back and having episodes like this with prod to catch up to, and cool seeing how the production etc has evolved since I took a break 5/6 months ago! 🙏
I always hope tony doesn’t get tired of Jason’s tendencies of talking too much and making it about him in a non egotistical manner. Gotta love ellis though he doesn’t do it on purpose IMO, he’s awesome and I love his solo pod as well but I feel like he talks over tony and makes conversations about him a little too much in HvsW
They do have great chemistry. But Jason isn’t a good interviewer.
This podcast is 80 percent him talking. He needs to let the guests talk more imho.
No they don’t. The other guy Jason talks too much
He already invented a trick, the “NAC”!
THANK YOUUU 🎉 LIKE HOW DID THIS NOT GET BROUGHT UP, there is a friggin movie about it lol
I came here for thos comment!
Hell yeah! P-rod!!
The legend Prod 👏
In my mind I call a nollie front foot flip, aka a nollie late flip, the P-Rod.
Grant Patterson had a good one too
"Lean air is Neal's first name backwards" 💥 🤯 my mind is blown as well amigo lol that's crazy!
epic!!! Thanks P-Rod, T-Haw, and J-Ell !
This was absolutely amazing please have Prod on again yous are all legends this is fantastic didn’t want it to end
Jason - sick hitops! 🤘❤️🔥
P Rod was my favorite Skateboarder even before I began skating because of the Tony Hawk video games. 😊
Paul is the man. Jason looks like a Canadian mountie that just got out of prison and took up farming.
I’ve been expecting this one since the beginning🤘🤘
P Rod should def start doing yoga. I've been doing it for about 2 years and it's been the catalyst for totally turning my health around. I just do like 20 mins by myself at my apartment, try to every day. I try to breathe deep and be as meditative as possible and it majorly has helped me in many ways.
the pants convo with Jason was the best 🤣
Who knew P Rod had donated to the Skate Park Project? No One. And that's how you donate ladies and gentleman. Style for miles.
P Rod did a great job interviewing Ellis about stand up. If his knees ever go, he has a bright future in broadcasting. I could see him announcing and doing play-by-play for televised skate events.
Never forget the nac for forever changing my baseline for flip in flip out tricks
Thank you for keeping my childhood alive! Watching this guys aging makes me emotional. legends
You guys should totally do that park switch idea. I’d absolutely watch that!
Thanks y’all!
no problem my man
@@pharaohmajor I don’t know why this was so funny to me
that nike commercial is still so damn good to this day. just encapsulates what skate media was like at that time and it feels fresh
guest lineup been hella crazy
Yo Franky Villani is a beast, it's dope to know he's doing all his own art. 🔥
Tony! I reached out to the skatepark org and your foundation about an invitation to my town of Lewiston Idaho for a skatepark event Oct 21st we would love to have you! It would mean the world! this is our first proper event in over 10 years but we are fighting to keep the scene alive! Skate4ever❤
Thanks for sharing with us Paul
Waiting for the next episode of the Life Reset...🤘🏻💀🤘🏻
the little deep dive into the origin of trick names is so good... can we get a fact check on the Ollie sandwich?? what was in it!?
Great episode! I grew up skating in the 2000s in this episode really brought me back with some great laughs
Me too prod was my favorite
I didn't see this one coming. Another great episode! I have been following P-rods life reset series. It was great to here his response and origin in skating. Keep up the good work boys!!!
Ellis I did a caveman off of a fire hydrant the other day! At the start of summer I couldn't cave man at all! Thanks for the podcast guys, you guys are awesome! Amazing guests! Cheers from east coast Canada!
That was a good one! Thanks for getting Paul!
He looks great for 38. I'm 40 now and look 55 lmao. You need Matt Hoffman on asap
Never put it together that P-rod was Paul Rodriguez's son. The last two or three minutes of the podcast were gold--the progression of skateboarding and what it feels like to see it happen.
Paul should definitely be on the podcast as a regular guest. He would rather talk about other people and things than himself. Asks good questions and soaks up the answers. Get him and another guest he admires. Would be awesome.
I;m leaving this on the P-Rod video. Skating is the greatest thing anyone could ever do, hands down. It never leaves you. There's absolutely nothing like it. Not even close
The Vans skate park in orange. Man, memories. I'm not a skater but I would go with friends and watch.
Fucking all-time episode. Always been huge P-Rod fan. He has always been a solid human being and great guy! You could always tell that he put in work to be as influential as he has been! Stomping tricks in the biggest situations! Would love to see more with him.
Prod!!!!!!! Another amazing episode
Really enjoyed this! Thank you!!
Would run into paul wit my little brother at vans orange randomly and asr, he'd do a lap , say what up laugh and skate super relaxed smooth and tech all iin one ... early 2000's was the ERA!
Loved this episode!
Wolf is too hilarious
Probably my favorite podcast out right now
Great episode! Keeping the ❤🔥alive!
Super Rad Conversation!! Tips from the greats
Ive skated my whole life I haven’t been super aware of professional skaters, but I’ve been really enjoying these podcasts recently. (You guys & Nine Club). So I didn’t know who P Rod was... I’m 41 and I’m a long time fan of Paul Rodriguez sr’s comedy. That’s such a trip that his son is one of the all time best skaters. So cool!
Not knowing P-Rod is 🤯 Sounds like you gotta educate yourself with some Forecast and Yeah Right!
Nine club is much better. They don’t have commercials every 6 mins, and only 22 mins of an interview. Fuckin infomercial
Wow, he's like that generations Michael Jordan
Skating for that long and not knowing who p-rod is, is mind blowing lol he’s the definition of a legend in the skateboarding community.
@@Jgriffy that’s what I’m doing right now. I’ve seen videos, but I never kept up, I just caught some in passing. It’s the personalities and stories from these interviews that are inspiring me to get more into it.
This was a good one Paul's excitement over learning about the origins of tricks and history is great. I learned a lot on this one
These episodes need to be longer
Would be cool to have Matt Hensley as a guest. Was a big fan of his skating in the late 80s. His transition from pro skater to being in flogging Molly would be cool to hear about.
Here we go!!!!!!! P-rod!
38:18 come on guys!! people are cheering because it's all fun ! little lands get hype too ❤❤😎😎🤘🤘
I actually asked specifically about his dad and comedy on Paul's RUclips where he was asking for questions for his Life Reset series. 😊
That thing in the beginning when Jason asked if it ever hurts when you make a trick, that's me right now, and I'm 32 😢
The Ollie story was so insightful. Great pod start to finish.
This was a sick one. I hope you guys can bring in Jamie Thomas or Chad Muska .
All my tricks are called the butt, shoulder, back slam.
Prod with flip ins was sick on lifereset today
PRods so old he forgot he invented the NAC 😂
I grew up in north county on the corner of chestnut and p c h Right by offshore surf shop I grew up in the eighties and nineties. Always looked up to you And Taylor Knox I think Dwayne Would be a really cool guest. Yes he's Sober. You are the best tony . You just are a very truthful solid man
P-rod is so chill when the dew tour first came to Baltimore me and my friends and my mom were walking back to our car and him and his lady were walking behind us and this guy walked w us til he had to go to his hotel and signed my shoe and shot the shit about local skateparks. (Charm city skatepark) but he was so chill and didn’t mind talking to these lil brown skater kids ❤❤❤
Salute to you guys
.
Great one!!!
Dropping the pod on my nights off is perfect
naw fr
epic episode thanks crew, going to have to try the Peddy plant looks like a fun as one. Can't wait for your NBD Prod get it bruh! gotta solid one last week involving a 900. stay tuned legends
The fucking look on his face when tony brought up his foundation. Paul fuckin was so genuine.
THANK YOU.
Great episode!
great episode!
Another banger, Bang!
Have a p rod signed signature plan b board! Stoked for this ep
Tony please bring the foundation out to CT. CT has terrible skateparks we’re dying out here! Send rescue ASAP
Paul is a class act and my favourite all time, switch goat.. but the dude with the tattoos seems like he wanted an interview with his father more :))
Thanks!
Three legends. No hyperbole.
P rod my all time favorite
55:48 the gay slide bit…internet gold. “Nobody’s trying to steal my stupid gay slide, its because I’m doing it.”
Dude is a handsome gentleman.
Too excited Paul Is my favorite guy
Fashion tips with P-Rod and Ellis !!!
P rod built a multimillion dollar skatepark in gangster ass orange cove
One of Paul's dad's movies I love is "a million to juan" good movie
Geezussss Paul has not aged at all. Still the same ol crush i had back in early 2000s 😍
Elixir of youth?
It's the latino genetics!
Please have that switch-up Tony-Paul episode soon, for sure watch that
The Rod Flip!
yall should try to get johnny giger on the podcast. hes awesome.
100% agreed
Giger is cool and all but there are so many other skaters who have made a much bigger impact who haven't been on here. Like for example, I'd take Muska or Rowley over Giger on the podcast anyday.
Yeah maybe laaaaaater , let's keep it core and old era till we run out.
I love that Paul is putting himself out in the social media world. He was always kind of a mystery because all you usually seen were just killer clips! Now he's active on his RUclips channel and on here. I really think he's gonna make a strong comeback!!
not p rod forgetting he made a whole ass movie about inventing and naming a trick
Maybe release these podcasts in the morning instead of midnight to get a better view count off the bat.
FLA represent and shout out to any one over 35 who's still trying to learn new tricks and progress
Hearing these guys talking about the inevitable aging out of being able to skate and do tricks is still sad for me and I don't even skate anymore, I wish I could find the time and energy, but I'm lucky to have found guitar, the thing that really took me away from the deck, I'm still infatuated with skating, play skateboarding video games a lot, watch a bunch of videos, I have a small handful of boards still when I find the rare time and energy to hop back on and carve around my backyard, but at 36 years old and out of practice and not totally in shape, it's definitely sad that I can't tre flip or impossible, or all the fun shove tricks with body varials I loved doing, I uses to have such high pop shoves, my friends would awlays be amazed...there's aging out of guitar, but whereas I'm actually aging out of skating very quick, as long a carpal tunnel leaves me alone, I should have music for a much longer time. I'm glad I shifted to guitar, it does feel like my true calling, but my skate years make my heart overflow with gushing nostalgia! I may not skate anymore, but skateboarding is still one of the sickest things in the world, and the culture definitely stuck with me, I still talk and think like a California skate kid just trying to chill, and instead of shredding the streets, I shred the strings :) death metal baby, all the way lml Love you P-Rod, what a legend!
Fuck yea, Paul get that core workout on ! It helps, this reminds me how much I like this dude.
Legends
Wow!!! I just Learned his PAUL RODRIGUEZ SON!!!!
