Paul spends 12 minutes talking about what makes the various kicks cool.... To me ... He owns em... Makes them cool. These are the guys responsible for the "street culture" we love. Real deal, no posers.
TUME 1 I sorta get that mane but to me subcultures always collided in my world whether it was skating or playing in punk bands or hip hop, I feel like these things have always had common ground so it makes sense to see extensions of it in different places if that makes sense
CHURRO MEN and he grew up with a Famous Dad, instead of being lazy and just buyung stuff with daddie's money he made a name for himself and earned everything.
Nice to see you finally interview someone who knows and appreciates the history of his collection. So bored of seeing the same old rappers and basketball players showing me the same boring Jordan heat.
being a hispanic kid this dude was and is the shit. looked up to prod like crazy, wore SBs and supreme since 08 because of him. Still do. Looking back I've skated a lot of heat.
I remember having a pair of P Rod 3’s in 8th grade, some fool stole them out of my locker during PE and I skated home crying my eyes out. Still miss those shoes so much
PRod's point of view is so nice. He doesn't show off with some rare mega expensive pairs, but just demonstrates shoes with stories from his life, some huge moments, it is awesome!
How sick would it be to just have truckloads of the newest Nike’s come delivered to you randomly faster than you can wear them. Gotta say Nike takes care of their athletes, especially their signature athletes
His ability to speak to all the small details is awesome. P-Rod is a true student of the sneaker game, nice humble but super talented. Great Video Complex!
Man, dude is very humble. You hear him give props to everyone From Michael Jordan, Shoe Designers, Even Albertsons Grocery Store.... 💪🏽 Shit bro YOUR talent is what made it a reality. Salute to you P-Rod
So many incredibly beautiful pairs - and stories to accompany them! All told by a most humble guy with an incredibly beautiful voice and peaceful vibe🙇💗😊
Damnnnn ! Before yeezys , before ultraboost , before big collaberations there was Nike SBs 😭😭😭.. i remember going to my local skate shop waiting in line for the QS's , pigeons, libertys, ron burgandys, lobsters, whata sbs, marvins, etc.. etc... those were the days.😢
Ok so Paul Rodriguez sr “his dad” is a stand up comedienne and is one of my favorites anyway long story short I meet him and I knew his son Paul jr was just turning pro and had signed Nike SB and his dad was wearing them I saw and said hey those are your sons shoes he looked at his feet and said” yeah my son is back in Cali with no shoes on” I cracked up especially cause that joke was meant got me and loved it..
God this dude was once my idol literally growing up skating. I remember just hoping some day I'd be able to own some Nike SB product. Zumiez and other local skate shops didn't sell any Nike SB merch. It was literally like foreign to these stores around Denver. Places only sold Nike 6.0. I never thought I'd own a pair of J-Rod's and now they're 1 of my prized possessions as a grown man. I'll always look up to Rod even though I don't skate anymore. He definitely shaped who I am today.
P Rod cool man. He’s so level headed and put together. Street skating gets so gnarly n shit, meanwhile he over here being chill af. If he didn’t have his leg in a brace you’d swear he rode longboards for a living or something.
@Ean Dogonski & Ryan Watts, yeah they still make SB Dunk lows but the tongues are less padded they use to be a lot more padded pillow like, i know because i have owned the old pairs & have also owned the more recent version of the SB Dunk lows.
They make dunk lows and Ishod dunk lows. The Ishod dunk lows are the ones with the less padded tongue. If you want the original padded tongue buy the OG ones that don't say "Ishod Wair" on them.
Paul, you've always been one of my favorite skaters. You better hold on to those shoes signed by Kobe and Ice Cube. A ton of value in those. Both sentimental and monetary. Btw.. insane collection bro
They've had him forever, he actually ended up leaving Es (his dream company at the time with all his friends and idols) for Nike. They treat their riders well especially Prod
The 2nd half was the dopest closet reveal, the grime before all the glamour. Good stories & lots of gems! Almost makes me want to grab a board & some SB’s!
I remember when Nike was going to make a p rod line separately from sb some of the shoes were dope that I saw at a trade show this was before the janoski came out
Seeing Paul Rodriguez on any video no matter how recent it is, his face brings me back to the skating days especially when I only wore vans and his signature shoes.
probably one of the most consistent street skaters ever still hits contests saw him on this year's battle of the berrics and with all of what he has he's still humble
I remember watching this complex video 2 years ago wen it came out and now abt a lil less then a year ago I gotten into skating and I just watched street dreams and now ik who this guy is 😂😂😂😂

@TUME 1 so you're saying only people who skate are allowed to wear "skate shoes" otherwise they're posing? alright mate..

Yup. People know Paul Rodriguez as PRod's dad instead of knowing PRod as Paul Rodriguez' son.

Kyle Oliver That's great
The 2s were the best one to be designed , the colours , the puffy tongue, and that quilted part is just aces
Pdrew That's true, P-Rod had some sick kicks that Nike let him make.
