😂 I m so glad to see that Norsk people can also resonate with this. Even in covid you can't help dancing! Bless you! Armenia will do extremely well this year. Jako is perfectly contagious! I mean, who can resist this storm of positivity? It's already sure that all the Eastern (and probably Southern as well) countries will suck this up in awe, so if even the North can not resist, this is definitely banging. Armenia could be even looking at their best result ever!! At least with the televote.
This group is well known for their multicultural mixes, where they reflect the cultures of different countries along with the Armenian one.❤ Thank you ❤ Have a fun with Ladaniva ftom Armenia, Dilijan🥳🇦🇲
Tramslaetion JAKO (Jako is the short version for Jacklin) They tell me: “Jako, be humble!” “Don't talk too much!” “Don't stay too quiet!” “Wear this, open this, close that,” “Behave like a girl!’ But I am a free girl, so I will dance and you will watch! La La La ~ Come, come, come and join me! No matter what they say, We will forget about the time again, Come on, come on, come on my dear, get up and dance! La La La ~
This song is full of symbolism if you look closer: the visuals are inspired by great Armenian artist and cinematographer Paradjanov who, in his turn, was inspired by medival Armenian ashiq Sayat Nova who also did cultural mixes in his music, combining Armenian- Georgian-Persian-Albanian(caucasian Albania) music.
The song is about a girl who has her own mind what to wear and how to express herself the way she wants vs. the expected traditional ways:) of coarse in a humorous way:)
Girls love you so much, thank you for your opinions and support❤😘🇦🇲Her name is Jakline and song's name is called in her short name Jako😁We love to call people by the short version of their name... Jakline was born in Armenia but now live in France...But this song shows us that she is so connected with Armenia and its culture and we are so proud of her.Lui Thomas is a french talented guy.We love him so much too❤🫠😘😘You can watch their other songs too.For exemple sareri hovin mernem Armenian traditional song. This is so amazing😊😊🥰😍😍🥳🥳🥳
Well I haven’t thought of Armenia and now I know now so I’ll be doing Armenia after my Cyprus recipe that’s what I’m doing next week so I hope ladantiva if she wins the national final preformance and she is my girl if she wins or not so I’ll be happy and pleased if she wins and I hope it’s a disco party hit and also a Ballard boper with vocals and aremenian acoustic vibes and I think it might be a party euro dance party pop song and I want to know have she won the final preformance from Geoff
Let me tell you what the song is about. Jako is the short name of hers Jaquelin. She says they call me Jako! stay calm don't talk too much or don't sit quiet also. Be like a girl. I'm a free girl and I'll dance you dance with me... The message is to be free and feel free no matter what the others will say just be yourself and embrace your crazy mind what feels right at that moment.
I get your concern, and for some it might be too much, but for us, and for many Eurovision fans I think it's missed dearly and more than welcome back. In the early 2000's there were too much and we got tired of it, but now it reminds a lot of people of how they fall in love with Eurovision in the first place (as the arena to explore different cultures music and the magic it brings), so I think this is a trend that we will not be bored of in a while. For my taste we have just the right amount of them in the competition now, and we don't need more necissarily :') What do you think about the matter? But it's a great question! @@LifeisGood_111
@@esc.norway I think ESC itself it's a good reason for us to listen to ethnic songs. But since these ethnic songs are sometimes just music and dance rhythms, the lyrics usually take a back seat, so I want more songs to be made about lyrics and meaning, and they should be embellished with music, lyrics, I'm not against ethnic songs, but everything should be done in moderation
I think Europe is a continent of many different very old and cultured countries and Eurovision should be a tool to showcase and grow culture in Europe. I think it would be very nice to have Eurovision feature a lot of cultural dance and music. Culture is what makes us human. It's what makes us who we are. It's what defines us as a species. Nobody can beat you at being you. So, we must bring our own culture to the stage and let our true selves shine through.
Jako must be in French pronunciation (Zhako), actually :) Short for Jacqueline (her name). Lada+Niva is a soviet car brand somehow related to both of their fathers. ;D The lyrics you asked about... Well, it is about a rebellious girl refusing to follow sometimes irrational dogmatic behavioral rules for women and telling, that she is a free soul and will dance as she likes. And through her loving and fun behaviour she drags those unaccepting of her into union anyway. The lyrics one can always find on the Eurovision official website, by the way.
In short the song's about_In Armenia there are too many rules for girls: they say wear this, that, too closed, too open, you're a girl act like one. I'm free I'll do what I like!
