In my beloved Spain, they are very curious about how we foreigners, (the ones who can vote for them in Eurovision) are reacting to the Benidorm songs. This one, which I'd translate as "Sick and Tired of Crying" is honestly quite astounding. It even includes elements of the traditional Semana Santa (Easter) processions (instrumentation). The voice and arrangement are tip-top. I just worry about how Eurovision voters/juries have historically drubbed anything remotely "traditional" from Spain. EaEa is just one recent example. One would think it should have been Top 10. So, I wonder about Hartita de Llorar. Definitely, a song that Spain could feel proud of. Will large enough numbers of televoters get it?

I lived in Spain for many years, so Melody has always been on my radar. She is one hell of a singer and performer. She can do anything! She will eat up the stage and put in 110% Having said that, the song, to my ears, while fun... is a little dated. She has done several competition shows in Spain where she usually ends up in second place. Silver might be her colour again this year.

The lyrics are devastatingly beautiful but are telling a rather darker story. Welcome to the theater play about love. Imagine women stuck in abusive relationships and they are repeatedly told to smile, act happy, to endure, because this abuse will pass, and this 'encouragement" to endure with a smile is abusive and it's on a systematic, societal level in all the Balkans. Their faces are red - and they (everyone who believes in "traditional" values) should be because they are complicit in this abuse. Nina giving voice to the victims of misogyny is powerful and impactful. Nina is brilliant in her interpretation and women hearing this will feel it, understarnd it, and appreciate it. The chorus says "Smile, endure, it will pass" but the last lyric is "it will disappear, but when?" A masterpiece and quality song that eurovision desperately needs to keep its reputation as a song contest. Well done Monte Negro and good luck in Switzerland!

Right now I think this is the best song but Spain still has to choose. Unfortunately Spain has not the best reputation with the televote (except Chanel). I think she will win Benidorm Fest (or Mel) but somehow Spain ends lower than it should be. Just give me a reason?

I love Melody and I was so upset when years ago Soraya won over her and she only got second and couldn’t go to Eurovision. I love her song for Basel , it’s classic, it’s camp, it’s catchy. And she is a fabulous performer. Good luck to her, I hope she wins this time.

About what you asked at the end of the video many people love this song, others are worry cos compared with Blaca Paloma 2023 and think people in Europe won't like which it doesn't make sense as this is a totally different tune and other people have as fav other artists let's see when we see the staging it will definitely make our minds.
