Wow, that’s some rough work for a tractor. One of the problems we have around our area for tractors and wheel loaders is flint rock. It’ll wipe out tires in minutes. I was always cutting up tires when I had my backhoe. They’re nasty!!
DirtDaddy what's up it's good to see U this is going to be another great job u said it kinda looks like a bomb went off 😆😆😆😆😆 caught me there but that is the plan to tackle an get the job done sorry to hear about the tracks u know how it is eventually the time comes to fix them try to put it off as long as we could but eventually have to fix them anyway thank you DirtDaddy for another great video 👍
Curious how much you charge for this kind of work, i do this as my main type of job. I do hourly but i feel like they're getting quite the discount for how hard i work myself. when i replace my undercarriage im going with single grouser pads. My 973c doesn't have a heating grid on the 3306, but it has ether injection. My alternator light stays on until i rev it up past 1,100 RPM then it turns it off. If i start it and leave it on a low idle with the alternator light on it will throw a low voltage code. Write down the code next time the SERV CODE comes up.
I normally charge by the hour as well! I bid this job because it normally doesn't take me long to do these so I needed a little more moolah because these are dirty nasty jobs. I now have to blow out the radiator and air filters because of the ash. I tend to work more on volume of jobs vs charging a lot and then pissing people off so they wont call me back. I get in and get out and move on to the next one. I always keep busy because people know they dont have to babysit me when I work and the job will be done right. Since i've bought this bigger excavator I've had to bid more jobs with it because it's such a pain (and expensive) to move. Yeah, I normally get the code and call my buddy who's a CAT tech, but I was confident that's what the problem was. Thanks buddy!!
@@Dirtdaddy953 Definitely agree with you, moving equipment is expensive. Upkeep on the truck/trailer is huge. Plus people don't understand that the cost comparison for renting a machine may be cheaper, but the extra time they would take learning how to operate vs time you save for the years of operating we have needs to be accounted for. I don't understand how people can try to justify remarks like that when you give them the rate. Thanks for the video, nice to see another track loader.
@@LLImprovement Exactly! If you're not an operator your losing money by renting! People who rent fail to charge for their time so thats why they can justify renting, but you have to charge for your time!
We call them Bois d'arch trees here in Oklahoma. They make good post they will never rot. It's some of the hardest wood in the world. Native Americans used to make bows out of them.
