I wrapped copper coil around my peach & plum trees because they struggle. Last year I had a bumper crop of peaches. The poor tree had been zapped by lightning for many years. Last year was the 1st time it produced anything in the last decade.

Thanks Danny and Wanda. I gifted my neighbor 4 coils that I made for her strawberry bed. I didn't explain all the benifits because her boyfriend would have poopooed it and made her give them back. (He's one of those who see nothing wrong with using seven dust and roundup.) I just told her it would help with slug control. Much Love ❤

There are three types of lime commonly used in agriculture; crushed powdered lime, pelletized lime, and hydrated lime. Danny has it backwards in regards to how long they're effective in the soil.
Crushed powdered lime, depending on the particle size will last up to five years and takes several months to begin working. It's difficult to apply without making a mess.
Pelletized lime has more consistent particle size and last 2-3 years but generally works faster than crushed lime. It's easy to apply and begins working faster than crushed lime.
Hydrated lime has to be applied most often, which is the opposite of what Danny claims. It works quickly and requires less to neutralize the soil. It's also easy to apply too much. It's highly caustic. Use with caution!

I have some from Mr Mickey but need more as I can afford them. I can attest they work. I had some next to plants and same type plants in same soil I did not have any. There was such a difference in plant size a d growth. Amazing using with my tomatoes. Potatoes and cabbage. Garden bigger this year so need to try and get more.

Good morning Mr. Danny and Wanda. When I was a Herbicider in a citrus grove we used Ammonium sulfate to aid in the up take of of roundup and 2-4-D. When we were getting sufficient rain fall we used 100 lbs. to 1000 gallons of water. Dryer weather we increased to 150 lbs. to 1000 gallons/ wetter conditions 50 lbs. to 1000 gallons of water

I use one 6 foot tall stick of bamboo with a fairly heavy guage copper wrapped counter clockwise in the southern side of all my raised beds with the copper and bamboo going in at least a foot depth. I center the antennas in the center of the southern side. So I have 5ft tall antenna. I also have about 30 to 40 small coils I'll put under plants I want to produce or if any seem to be struggling. It might be overkill but it showed to be very effective last season.

Your garden is looking beautiful! I harvested my carrots except for around the edges of the raised beds and planted my tomatoes down the center like you suggested. I’m hoping to be able to collect carrot seeds from the remaining ones. I have one more harvest of English peas and then will transfer the last of my tomatoes to that bed. Today is canning day for the carrots, pick, shell & freeze the peas, then get ready for Shabbat. Thank you for the information you shared. God bless!

That looks like a Miracle Grow lawn fertilizer container with the green spoon. Do you use that for vegetables or is it a repurposed container? Working with powders like the lime makes me nervous. All over the expensive farm fresh eggs I had just put in the cart.
