I'm really enjoying these short more frequent videos. Thx. *I remember Gas Wars & 23¢ a gallon, sigh. Those days long gone. That field looks gorgeous, like a piece of art.

Hi Danny and Wanda. There was an article announced on local tv about a new type of pesticide being sprayed over the Youngstown Ohio area a new type of plane but what worries me is this toxic spray will also kill bees and butterflies. Nothing surprises me anymore. Time to move beehives and flowers indoors if possible. We need bees so much. Honey is imminent in healing for everyone and for plants to flourish.
I always enjoy watching someone working a field with a tractor. It doesn't matter if it's plowing, planting, fertilizing, or just hilling I'll watch it.
Remember the old timey way of checking gas. How I remember when daddy used to plow our truck patch and garden. The corn looks great! Enjoying watching the progress of the crop.
I love seeing Mr. Danny having fun on his tractor. Ms. Wanda your camera work is great. I like the occasional stills in the video when you get a good shot. Your cows are patiently waiting for the corn to get big enough for them to get a treat. 😁
Wow! That makes everything look really pretty. 😊 I’m amazed how much you have to do with corn. It seems to be barely started one day and four feet tall the next! Of course I don’t get to drive by every day so it’s not quite that fast. 😂 The tractor is cool lookin’ I like to look at them when the county fair comes around. Have a good day.
We love our Cub tractor too! As far as gardening goes it was a life changer when we bought it about 10 years ago. We also have my great uncles Super A, it looks rough (from years of use) but it still works too! I sure do wish that we had all of the equipment to go with our Cub. Thanks for the info about the gas caps!
Thanks Danny and Wanda. The cornfield looks awesome! When you gave the dementions of the field I realized that it is bigger than my whole lot. I wish my family hadn't sold off the rest of the property. Much Love ❤
This is a demonstration of the importance of daily dedication to the details of your work. The best fertilizer is supposed to be found in the footsteps of the farmer.
I always put the ribbon up but last year the crows didn't wait for the corn to come up they went under the ribbons and dug the seed up before it sprouted, they were crazy.this year I deployed a air dancer stick man blower and it worked .the cub is the ultimate large garden /truck patch farming implement. You just have to have the right equipment and accessories.
Hello Danny and Wanda. It always warms my heart to see you using the Farmall tractor. Your Danny Corn is coming up nicely. I'm so glad you were blessed with those seed plates 😀 Nice job. It's all fertilized and cultivated. Thanks for sharing how much tripe 13 you used.
Wow I just finished watching you guys @ DSH in the high tunnel planting white okra… now I find a video over here @ Pecan Grove!!! Double pleasures on April fool’s day!😂of watching you guys. Love it!Tfs😊
I just found your channel and i learned more in a couple of videos about setting up tractors and gardens then i knew after 8 years of gardening veggies lol thks for doin these videos....
Ahhh. So that's how tall the Danny corn really is 🤣. I really enjoyed the April Fool's Day prank you played on your community. It's nice to have some levity during these times.
I'm going to have to try using the buzzard wings like this. I ordered bearings and shields for the rolling cultivators a couple of days ago. Had to use some 6" sweeps in the front and a couple of 18" sweeps on the back to cultivate with the other day. I wanted to knock down the few weeds and nut gras that were coming up. Corn was only about 2" high and I had the front sweeps at least 1 foot apart but the large shanks still almost tried to cover up a few of the corn and bean plants that were starting. We got 3.5" of rain yesterday, hope you guys did OK. Going to set up the side dresser as soon as it dries up enough to get back in the garden.
Danny, thats a great picture of that pretty corn field and you and that Farm-all cub tractor. My Grandfather in Kentucky had a Farm-all cub tractor, I bet you sell prints of you plowing on that tractor , great pic.
I got my Danny corn laid by, 4 rows 25 ft long. I have a small tractor (JD 1023E) and it only has a 12 inches of clearance.so I have to plant on a low row. Just in time, we had almost 2 inches of rain yesterday. I can't get in and cultivate anymore so all weeding will have to be by hand.
I’m envious of your tractor. But my ‘garden’ is only 30x100 and that’s probably being generous. The ground will be thawed enough by the end of the month that I’ll be able to till it then.
Hello sir. I like your videos. Ty for putting them out. I recently bought a 1949 cub… I have a question. I have been searching online but have not found a video or instructions on what I need yet so I’m hoping you can help.. my question is. When I mount my moldboard plow 12” not fast hitch, will I have to remove the seed/fertilizer unit, or will it mount up without interference on the chains? Any information you have would be appreciated
If it the type that goes behind the tractor it shouldn't interfere with the chain. If it's the type that goes in front of the rear wheel it will interfere.
Ohios weather is all over the place. 70/80 one day..tornados..and snow cold today. Ive just decided im planting and whatever we get is what we get😂 Thankfully i do have a ground tunnel so the plants in there will do better than whats exposed outside but it make me think of that vs in the bible where a man looks at the weather and never plants 😂..Im planting by faith this yr😂 Lord willing we have a harvest, he does always manage to provide 😊
I'm really enjoying these short more frequent videos. Thx. *I remember Gas Wars & 23¢ a gallon, sigh. Those days long gone. That field looks gorgeous, like a piece of art.
Yeah I miss those days also.
I’m long in the tooth, but I remember gasoline prices $.19/gal.
I remember gas, bread and cigarettes were 3/$1.00! No kidding, gasoline was 33 cents a gallon.😊
@@pecangrovemsGlory days!
Me too, it wasn't that long ago was it?
Amazing camera work Wanda❤ you really captured what a Cub (and a Danny) can do!
What a beautiful garden. The blessing of the Lord is on this place. Prayers for an abundant harvest.
That old IH did a really good job,, 👍👍
Danny Corn looks Great !!!
Danny looks amazing that little cub tractor is the bomb. We used to have a Farmall C model when I was a kid good tractor

Tell me about your corn spacing, between corn and between rows. Thanks jim80
Danny Corn videos on Deep South Homestead in a playlist. Lots of info on growing it.

The ground will be thawed enough by the end of the month that I’ll be able to till it then.
I bent my fertilizer foot out we’re it will be wider so that it dose not clog up as much
When all that corn makes is your grinder from Mr. Mikey ready
Yes
That’s as good as it gets. She was dialed in.
I have owned farmalls for sometime now. Can someone explain why we don't have equipment like this being made today? The cub is such a great tool.
Government regulations and greed.
Gonna be a nice stand of corn!!!

why are there ploughs behind the tractor wheels ?
To plough up any grass in the middle of the rows.
@@pecangrovems hi thanks for replying !
Danny do you just add unleaded gas to the old tractor, or do you add anything to the gas
I only use non ethanol gas in it.
I enjoy your videos, God bless the both of you, family, and farms! The government said, Bird flu has reached cows, fish, and other mammals (H1N1)
What does laying your corn off mean?
Cultivating for the last time and pilling up dirt against the corn to help stabilize it.
You are wrong about fertilizer having to be covered...hay fields and pastures are fertilized and it isn't covered...and it works great!!
Yes and it falls down through the grass and is protected from the sun. In plowed ground it's laying exposed to the sun on bare soil.
👍
Id recommend putting die-sell in the tractor... I don't think that thing is a gas burner is it? 😂😂😂
Yes it is
@@pecangrovems oh it IS a gas burner!? Dang, lol, never mind😂... I just figured that was a diesel tractor... I sure thought it sounded like one, lol🤐

There's a filter on the tractor.
It did grow overnight.
