- Hey guys! Today I am sharing with you my entire eyeshadow palette collection as it currently stands in hopes of trimming things down a bit! With the count nearing 200, it is time to let some of these palettes go! So we will go through them all briefly today and see what deserves to stay and what needs to go. I hope you enjoy it! I can't even imagine putting a dollar figure on your eye shadow/makeup collection! I appreciate the fact that you do a lot of drug store/affordable brands as more money doesn't always mean better quality. Of course, you also like high end brands like Sydney Grace and Pat McGrath, lol. I enjoy watching declutters and it inspires me to be more ruthless about decluttering my own collection and being more intentional about my purchases. This year I am focusing on using what I have and repurchasing items that I really enjoy. I am keeping a notebook with items that I have used up and what I think about them so I can look back and know how I feel about something before I waste my money. You did a great job, Mandy!

The sultry palette is my favorite high end palette. It’s so good 😭 I would keep the sultry. 🥺
You were pretty ruthless in your declutter! By that i mean very decisive. This was super fun to watch and impressed that you had over 180 palettes and kept this video under 25 minutes

I was struggling to pull the trigger on 2 ND palettes and the PM Divine Rose palette $$$. But now that I saw your dupe palettes, lets just say i went down a rabbit hole of your reviews and i got me my dupe palettes for less than the price of 1 ND palette. SO EXCITED!
Don't feel bad. I keep some sentimental makeup, too; in a separate storage. Once in a while I use some, but most of it is 20+ years old. It's part of my makeup history I don't want to let go of, and it doesn't take a lot of space. Berries and Cream is my favorite palette; that taupe, that black matte, Sugar Cookie, and that Blue, oh my, and of course the berry shades. Her Rustic Glam has my fave Cream colored eyeshadow ever.
I have tried several Juvia's place pallettes and I honestly don't know how they're so highly rated. They're so hard to build up color and so patchy, but you kept them. I guess I'm missing something. Congrats on your declutter. Cool to watch.
This collection is amazing. I was kind of sad though when you decluttered Sultry from ABH since it is my absolute favourite. And I was a little surprised not to see any Urban Decay Palettes at all, didn‘t expect that.
The Milani gold package eyeshadow formula is so so so good! If Milani brought that formula back they would SWIPE the drugstore eyeshadow category. It's such a shame they don't use it anymore. Thank you for showing us your collection.

So many people wish for Sultry ABH to come back but surprised u declutter it. Also wasn’t expecting a declutter content; thought just a collection video. But i love the bomb u dropped, Mandy.

The products that you hold on to for sentimental reason, maybe you could have a separate basket or bin for? Or on display? That way they are all together and not cluttering your active collection.

Mandy Lea please consider doing looks from your existing pallets. I would love to see you use the Zodiac pallets and the Naughty palette. I would watch even if I didn't own the payout use, maybe you can even swatch from other pallets to show how you can get the same look.

I love the beginning of the year declutter to reset the collection!
I de-potted all of those Colourpop quads and put them in a z pallet and it’s one of my favorite pallets ever.

I recently decluttered, too, and had to keep all my Sydney Grace shadows, Enduring Love palette and Temptalia palette! Can’t get rid of those!
Mandy that was brutal 🤣🤣 In a good way though!!!! Can’t believe you got rid of so many and you may even have inspired me to start chucking some of mine 🤦🏻♀️ I’m embarrassed at the amount of make up I have!! I know I could get by with just my precious Biba, Glam and SG Enduring Love palettes 😂
I was down for at least 45 minutes…and you WHIZZED thru! I can’t toss Love in London or Switzerland - but everybody has to do themselves! I didn’t buy the 2 Christmas palettes from BH because I have figured out I don’t like large palettes.

You should get some bins for your eyeshadow palettes so you can slide them out and access the shadows in the back. Will make accessing easier.
You should have included in the title that this is a declutter! As soon as you decluttered the first palette, my eyes got wide and my ears perked up and realized you would be passing things on!! Proud of you!

Yess would love to see your ND rankings for all size palettes. I just got her Green Brown palette finally after years of missing out during her sales. It was still expensive but I Love her formula more than any other so to me & in my budget-it was worth it. I also enjoy Marc Jacobs eyeshadow formula so will never let the ones I own go, even though the brand is currently Non existent. Haha I’m trying to pare down my makeup as well and Unpopular Opinion: I mailed my Pat McGrath Midnight Sun palette to a friend on IG because she doesn’t have any PMG palettes so I knew it’d be a good home for it. I used it 3 times and I know people really love that palette but I just can’t get the “special shades” to work for me like I’d like. And it is annoying that I spent so much money on something I don’t Enjoy. Going forward I don’t think I’ll purchase many more of the PMG eyeshadow palettes but I do want to try her blush formula.

Wowza, that’s a lotta palettes! You did fantastic btw, very pragmatic decisions. I’m doing the same with my makeup, getting organized and weeding out the things I’m not using for whatever reason. I’ve been donating the lightly used makeup to my local women’s shelter along with clothing. They’re always so happy and appreciative. Now, what else can I declutter. 😃😂

Please do a few looks with the essence green palette. I bought it from your recommendation but still haven’t worn it. I need a few daytime wearable looks as I find those blueish shades of green harder than olive ones.
I took all my palettes out of drawers. I have them standing between bookends (according to size). I have a marker (card from MakeupGeek) that I mark my place with. I use a different palette every day. If I want to use a palette it's easy to find. If I find I'm skipping one a lot, than time to say goodbye. No more taking 15 palettes out to get to one on bottom. Total game changer for me.

I wrote down all my palettes and I keep track of all the palettes I use. It forces me to use palettes but also if I'm not picking one, I give it away. I have felt so much better since doing this.

I have around the same amount of palettes. They're my weakness! I did my inventory, but have been postponing decluttering my palettes. I've only done a small declutter at the end of last year. But with 365 days in a year it means i could use every palette twice and it makes me feel anxious to have that many and i really want to enjoy my palettes more and collect (hoard lol) less.

I've actually been thinking about repurchasing that Alamar palette. I depotted it years ago. The remaining blue I have is about 3 years old. I love it though, and I have been wanting a palette with a good orange and yellow matte.
You really did well!!! Holy moly! We had a horrible virus (non covid) run through our house...it came from my daughter's preschool all throughout Christmas 🤷🏻♀️. It lingers!
I was very impressed by those Colourpop quads. I hear they have some new ones that are condensed versions of their 9’pans. I was crushed as a Libra you got rid of that one!

I love eyeshadow and I loved seeing your collection!! Unfortunately (or fortunately for my budget 🤣🤣), I have found that there are not a lot of formulas that will stay on my eyelids through a day even with an eyeshadow primer. This has made me be very picky with what I buy and keep. Anyways, I thought you did a great job 👏🏻

You rock! I’m not even a RUclipsr and I probably have at least twice as many palettes as you -definitely a problem 🤦🏼♀️ I am going to be doing some decluttering, but sadly I don’t think I will have a smaller collection than you. I am however really slowing down on my purchasing.
