  • I wanted to shoot a video about General Knowledge of Pakistai Punjabis about Indian Punjab like if Pakistani Punjabis could name 3 cities and the capital of Indian Punjab. But I met a very interesting Punjabi man from Pakistani Punjab who was a very proud Punjabi and a very vocal Punjab supporter. He talked about situation in both Indian Punjab and Pakistani Punjab and Punjabi music industry.
    Then I met a couple from Pakistan Punjab who had very interesting story to tell about the partition of Punjab in 1947. They talked about Indian Punjab vs Pakistan Punjab and also love between Muslims and Sikhs and other Indian Punjabis.
    I also interviewed a Saraiki man and two Hindko speakers from the Hazara region of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region of Pakistan.

    Punjabi is a rich language,if we lose our mother tongue, we will lose everything.
    Punjabi has a special essence, Punjabi songs, Punjabi folk music, punjabi culture, a language is developed throughout the long period of time on that particular area ,so it contains knowledge also. I hope somebody may understand the depth of the above words.

    Despite not wanting to speak Punjabi very much, the people in Lahore actually speak a much purer version, which is very clear. Punjabis in India speak a lot of different dialects. They are majnja, malwa and doaba. Amritsaris speak majhi which is same in Lahore.

    • @preetamsingh8575
      @preetamsingh8575 Год назад +7

      Clear (to your ears) doesn't mean pure. It means it is simplified, standardised, without a strong Punjabi accent, and more mixed with Hindi Urdu loan words. In the villages, apart from the slight bdialect differences, there is a strong accent and use of theth words, which makes it harder to understand to the average Hindi-Urdu speaker. The village Punjabi is purer.

It seems like Punjabi was demoted to a very low level , to creat a public hate to speak it !!! Then my Surprise to have encounter with a Pakistani family speaks Urdu at home and with their children !!! I get to know that Punjabi is not even included in educational system even . The couple told me that the parents discouraged their children to not speak Punjabi !!! My question why so much hate for the language whom their great grand parents were speaking in their daily lives!!! I never see the murder of a mother tongue by its own children with so much brutality !!! But I am so glad at my Sikh community we did everything to keep our mother alive !! Even if any Sikh is settled in other countries we have our Punjabi schools so we can teach our kids Punjabi . You can see Sikh children they have knowledge of English as well as Punjabi !!!
