Got myself a a Mayflash F500 and my brother a F300 since they where a good price. Swapped out the buttons and and Sticks with Sanwa parts. Both are sturdy, and still work after 2 or 3 years of use. Here.❤ . Just got my second stick (hori alpha ps5) F300 + Sanwa works on next to everything. Xbox360/one/sX , switch, neogeo mini, pc, mister, your fridge ... never had much issues with input lag (not a progamer). Awesome entry level AND all purpose stick. Just remember tu up thr firmware

The F500 Elite has been my first official fight stick. I had a friend turn an Xbox 360 remote into one, used that for a minute. Unlearned quite a bit of habits from playing controller (playstation remotes) and really began to understand mechanics a lot more over the few years since the beginning of the pandemic
I got a Mayflash F300 as my first stick, and upgraded the buttons/lever to Sanwa stuff, and it's been more than good enough for me! Though I have a 3D printer, and I'm trying to design a modular version of the Snackbox, with different button-layout and keyswitch options and whatnot.

I try not to look into the tech that you can do on a Hitbox, because that's not the reason why I got this thing. The thing I love about it is that it feels comfortable and brings me back to the days when I played Mugen on keyboard. The other extra cool thing about it is that I also play Tetris, so it makes me so much faster. The problem I have with it at the moment is that one of my buttons flies off if I go too ham with it. Strangely enough, it only happens when I play Tetris. Ha ha! Main fighting games I play on it are: Melty Blood: Type Lumina, Street Fighter 6, and Killer Instinct.
Justin Wong - Gaming Legend: "Mayflash f300 and f500 are TRASH. I bought a broken one cheap at a garage sale. STRAIGHT TRASH. Buy a good stick, losers." that's not what he said, but that's how it feels right now. I've never in my life been more baffled by a RUclips Personality's take on a product. a product that THEY bought from a cheap garage sale that happened to not work. so for that TRASH CONTROLLER. LOL. what is that? I've never seen anything like it, man. I know he's a funny guy and he's a legend (I'm learning about it now - I'm new to fighting games with SF6). but putting the stick most people can afford and have purchased into "TRASH" because his personal choice to get a broken one left him unsatisfied with its quality ... does someone like Justin Wong know what their opinions can mean to people for stuff like this? for real - do they realize how much value his opinion carries about a purchase like that? I ask because someone who understood that value wouldn't toss their opinions around so flippantly over a whole swathe of their audience's afforded gear. based on their own mistake of buying a broken one. that shit is pretty offensive, man, I can't lie. I'm pissed. (obviously, laff.) I don't own a Mayflash, and if I'm being honest now I probably WON'T. the brand's now tarnished, and I was really thinking about the F500 Elite. sure I know it's jokes, but not to me. we can't afford the 500 dollar sticks that Justin Wong can. or is sponsored by.
i got the f300 relatively recently and it's a great beginner stick imo. It is a little too small for me but since i'm still starting out it gets the job done and is super customizable.
I was looking into buying the f500 since it's bigger and I like that about it but I saw a listing on offerup for the f300... FOR 15 BUCKS. Best 15 bucks of my life tho it is a bit small
mayflash f500 a good starter for people getting into using a fight stick. I threw that sht across the room and broke my walls and it still works LOL😂 then upgrade to any Hori product can't go wrong with those. If you can get pick up a Te2 or Te2+ for cheap pick them up they are so rare and really good fight sticks
The original MadCatz TE stick is hands down, one of the most versatile joystick I've ever owned. Have a stock one, another modded for leverless layout and another converted from PS3 only to multi-console with Sega P1 layout panel.
The Mayflash isn't bad, so long as you know what to expect. Its the best starter stick for people that're willing to spend a little. Still use mine for my PC and Switch (I have an F500)
Justin just needs to update his firmware on his F300 probably. F500 Gang rolling strong. Picked up the base model F500 v2 without Sanwa parts, with the intention to upgrade. That was 2 years ago. Haven't upgraded yet. Should be the budget option for every player on PC wanting the classic arcade stick experience.
I also have an F500 v2, still want to get Sanwa components one day for fun, but honestly I feel keyboard is more responsive, so when I play seriously I just use that.
@@libertyprime9307 Yeah, where things stand now buttonbox/keyboard is the precision and competitive option so I feel like high price point fight sticks are less justified as no matter what they're for the fun experience.
I genuinely recommend the 8BitDo Arcade Stick, it's a good solid stick and is easily moddable. The only thing is it comes with a square gate, which I changed out for an octagonal, but it's pretty good for the price.
Had the opposite experience unfortunately. The unit I had was an absolute nightmare to mod and the screws were basically fused to the board so I couldn't change the stick. Insides also felt a bit cramped, but probably not an issue if you're using snap in buttons instead of the screwins that I was trying to install. Those issues aside though (and in fairness some were likely just me getting a bad unit, it happens) I do genuinely really like the stick. Out of all the budget arcade sticks I think it's the best out of the box experience by far, and it offers features you don't even see on high end sticks like bluetooth and the included 2.4ghz wireless adapter.
Yo same here I was kinda excited to see how it ranked considering I love it but then it got immediately thrown into trash tier for a eh reason, I just wanted a fair shot to see where it stood 😂
The qanba drone was a a great stick for my deployment. I was wanting to spend my free time playing some fighting games while being down range and this stick helped me get through it lol. Great stick 10/10 👍🏼
The mayflash 300 is awesome. i got mine on sale for $35 during black friday. For what it does and what it CAN do is 100% worth the price. Great stick to learn on and upgrade with high end sanwa parts. Can't beat it
I have a few pricey arcade sticks like the FighterZ Panthera, Soul Calibur 6 Hori and honestly, I've been using a $50 AliExpress flatbox for a hot minute now and adore it.
I'm rocking a Mayflash f500 V2 with a magic s ultimate adapter, replaced the buttons and stick with sanwa, and got custom art commissioned for it. Got a little expensive but worth it 🤩
I have a Mayflash F300, it's really good so far no problems and I've had it for a year. If something happen I plan to change the buttons for sanwas. I definitely recommend it! . Maybe if I changed, I would buy a victrix and that's only because I want it to be fully compatible with PS5.
I had the f300 for my first stick, loved it, but it had a pretty bad input delay when I plugged in a controller for console. PC was fine though. Homies got the f500 and absolutely loved it. I upgraded a while ago to the first panthera and haven't looked back
I started off with the Qanba Drone. Then i got the Hori Rap 4 but i felt like it was too big and wanted something a bit more compact so i got the Mayflash f500 and upgraded it. After that i wanted to try an all button layout so i got a snackbox v2. And now im on the snackbox micro. I actually like the form factor and feel of the F500 so much that i bought the elite version just to have in the collection as a backup.
@marcusmeins1839 Yeah, Mayflash simply has one of the best cases on the market for the price. It has metal top and bottom plates for added weight and sturdiness, an acrylic top panel for custom artwork, fully customizable buttons and joystick, and it works across all consoles as long as you have a controller for the console you're trying to play. To take customization a step further, you can always remove the stock pcb and add in a Brooks Universal fighting board to make it work on all consoles without the need for a controller or adapter.
I put an ODIN drop-in fight pad into my F300 and swapped the buttons with mx silver key switches, and it's been amazing. Also added some anti slip foam for added comfort as well. F300 is a great way to get into fightsticks
My daily driver is my Madcatz Round 2 Tournament Edition from 2010. I also have two Madcatz TE2. one for playing and the other for spare parts for the future.
The Mayflash F300 is what I currently use and it works really well. It obviously isn’t the best option but it’s affordable and plays just fine. 8/10 in my opinion and I would recommend it to someone with a budget.
I own 14 sticks, including the Victrix Pro and Qanba Dragon. My two favorite sticks are still, 'til this day, my Hori RAP Premium VLXs. Yes, they're big. Yes, they're expensive. And yes, they're hard to find. That stated, nothing else compares to how they feel/perform.
Between the Dragon and the Victrix, which would you keep? I’m wondering which one to get atm, and the weight/travel size/pcb is not an issue for me. I’m leaning on the dragon due to customizations sake and aesthetics
@@inFamous-VIC The Dragon is definitely more customizable and considerably heavier, if you appreciate that aspect. That said, for me at least, the Victrix feels like it performs better. It's a little hard to describe what I mean by this but inputs just feel easier/more accurate. Also, the Victrix top has an angled area at the palms-the flat panel of the Dragon is probably my biggest complaint for it because after hours of play, its edge will feel like it's digging at your palms. So if forced to choose, I'd take the Victrix just for performance and comfort. Honestly, the only gripe I have with the Victrix is where the USB cable plugs into the top. It's not quite as snug as I would expect it to be for a $400 stick. Honestly, you really can't lose with either stick though; they're both built like tanks. Good luck!
@@ciscorey6520 damn. I wish I could know more about that performance aspect aside from the PCB. The palm deal I did see and I’m glad for that ease of use for people.
@@inFamous-VIC Yeah, it's hard to describe. Even if you're using the same JLF levers on all your sticks (I try to fit all my sticks with Sanwa), it's like the hole in the body that's cut out for the lever affects the way it feels. I noticed this right away with my friend's Mayflash F500 Elite. The throw of the stick felt very very different and I suspect it has something to do with the height (and possible width of the hole) of where the plexiglass sits. To be perfectly honest, if I'm choosing in order based off of performance, I'm going RAP Premium VLX > RAP Pro Kai (with Sanwa parts) > Victrix > Dragon. Yes, it's crazy to know that I'd rather play with a $150 Kai over a Victrix.
I have to say while the Snackbox Micro is nice, I have some regrets about buying it as my only stick, since I'm new to the scene. The miniscule buttons at the top floor things like stick press, select and start are super uncomfortable when labbing, where you are going into menus often, hitting select to reset, amd using the R3 and L3 for practice mode shortcuts. The stick is great for normal play and I love every other aspect, but I think it's a drawback worth considering if you're getting a SBM as your only stick.
I have 2 custom f300s and an old 8bitdo that is built from an f300 chassis. They're great universal, small size sticks. The stock parts are fine for the price but I always swap to Sanwa right out the box. I also have a MadCatz TE1 and TE2. The TE has thousands of hours of use, 2 stick and multiple button swaps. Both of the TEs blister my right wrist pretty bad but other than that they are big sturdy reliable sticks. Honestly I'd take any one of these into battle with confidence. Mayflash f300 is a perfect starting point, by the time you get to your second stick it's a full-on lifestyle, so make your first one something relatively inexpensive and versitile. I also highly suggest putting some custom art or button/stick colors to really make it yours.
well from what i have seen these brands are the most used : Qanba Mayflash Hori Madcatz And the only ones which are cheap are : Qanba Crystal or Qanba Drone (drone costs a little bit less than qanba crystal) Hori Fighting Stick Mini (it's very small ) Mayflash F300 / Mayflash F300 Elite (hearing good reviews from this one) of course if you want something better (from the same brands) it will cost you a lot more .
The mayflash f500 elite and had it for 2 years now and it hasn't let me down. Got the link ex groove on it with the magic s ultimate to work on my ps5 💪
The Mayflash was my first arcade controller! While I would not say it was great by any means it was cheap and got the job done. I now have the Qanba Obsidian so you could say the Mayflash is the gateway stick.
what is the most ergonomic ? I'm going to buy one cause i cant play any fighting games without flaring up in my wrists i got huge hands and bad carpel tunnel. Just played Sfxtekken for 20 mins and my wrist is killing me. I don't need the best stick just one that will allow me to play longer and enjoy it
I got 3 arcade sticks. I got the qanba pearl which is super nice out of the box and doesn't need any sort of customization, I have the Hori Fighting Edge, which I put a Crown lever and sanwa buttons in it, and the last one I have is the Hori RAP Soul Calibur 6 Edition which was the first arcade stick I ever bought for myself.
Mayflash F300 was my first stick and it served me well. I have transitioned to using a leverless (flatbox) controller, but that's because my wrist would start hurting a bit from rocking the stick all the time. But as said, it served me well for the four years I've had it for. Definitely recommend upgrading the stock parts to Sanwas for longevity and better feel though.
Hori Mini was my first stick, but it was way too light and flimsy. I sold it after a year. My next and still current stick was the Hori RAP4 v1. Aside from the lack of touchpad, it still works like a dream. Funny thing was that I was originally planning to get the TE2, but there were no preorders at the time. So I pivoted towards the cheaper Hori and haven't loomed back
Are any of these good for low low single father budget but have a good feel? ive gotten into emulating arcade games and realllly miss that clicky arcade stick feel!!! :C
Sorry to hear you got did dirty Jwonggg. I bought a Mayflash f500 during covid. I needed a stick that could work with all my consoles & wasn't crazy expensive. I'm no pro. It's medium sized & gots a good weight to it. I replaced the stock parts with sanwa & bought a mayflash magicboot so I can use it on my ps5 (also makes it function on a ps4/xbox1 without connecting a pad to it). A good budget stick for newcomers. Imo
Mayflash sticks are the best to mod. Super easy to take out the parts and can add your art. It’s my main stick and the elites are versions are great if you want quality parts
i want a snackbox micro but they are too expensive in my country, i'm trying to find files with the dimensions so i can get the acrylic cut by a local company for cheap but i can't find it
As a Mad Catz fanboy I like that Kizzie put the EGO in A. Solid agree. Very sturdy, feels great to use, often on sale, perfect for PC play. if not for the controller dongle, it'd be S tier for me .
My main man is still a Razer Atrox (360, no drops) but I keep my Drone 1 around just because it's so dang cute and light and the little cord cubby was such a great idea. Sad that they got rid of the honeybee motif
I'm definitely in love with my Madcatz SFIV Arcade Fightstick. It's probably not the best stick out there but playing USFIV with it just feels very meant to be played like that.
Man, why in the world is the f300 even on the thumbnail XD I came expecting at least some mention about whether its good or not, instead you get "I never used it" and "i bought it used and it was broken so I didn't use it... therefore its trash"
i have the SxT fight stick, The Tatsunoko vs Capcom stick and I just Picked up the first Qanba Obsidian. im not that good with a fight stick but for some reason i enjoy playing with them lol
i got my custom arcade for about $250, excellent build quality, custom art, it is both hitbox and arcade stick (removable) full sanwa buttons, stick, brook pcb ps4 and pc compatible, the best arcade in my opinion is the one you make, whatever if you build it your self or pay to a shop for a custom one that suits your needs and style
The launch TE2 died on me in months and when I tried to replace a button, the quick disconnects came off the cable. A shame because up to that point, I always wanted a MadCatz stick and there were no options at the time of very early Killer Instinct until Hori released some HRAPs

Yeah I agree.. I think some ppl expect too much for that price point
i built and still use my first stick
it's just a pc power supply box with sanwa parts and a generic board
Just started playing on a snackbox and my left hand is failing me
I genuinely recommend the 8BitDo Arcade Stick, it's a good solid stick and is easily moddable.
Square gets are what you'd get in any arcade fg (unless its tekken)
Yo my $60 stick is in the thumbnail
Can't beat it
My S tier = Hori Fighting Edge, Nacon Daija, old school HRAP 2/3 . .good list though
I have a PXN fightstick for few Years. Got any tips for Fighting Games Like when I Play some on Switch?
I have a few pricey arcade sticks like the FighterZ Panthera, Soul Calibur 6 Hori and honestly, I've been using a $50 AliExpress flatbox for a hot minute now and adore it.
I'm rocking a Mayflash f500 V2 with a magic s ultimate adapter, replaced the buttons and stick with sanwa, and got custom art commissioned for it. Got a little expensive but worth it 🤩
I've always been a pad player but one day I might give the stick a try, does anyone know any recommended arcade sticks for beginners?
I forget... but I think they have pads with 6 face buttons. I think by... MadCatz?
Still rocking the MC SF4 special edition stick.
mayflash f500 is way better than f300
It’s my daily driver for Fighting games. It’s great!
The F500 was my 1st stick. Very glad I bought it back then. Now I own a Panthera Evo and a Victrix FS.
I still use my f300 but I just replaced the built in parts with sanwa parts since it’s super easy to mod
I still use the Mayflash 500 Elite, it's really cool and I can use it on PC, Series X and the PS5.
F500 elite is solid, has sanwa parts
I have a Mayflash F300, it's really good so far no problems and I've had it for a year. If something happen I plan to change the buttons for sanwas. I definitely recommend it! . Maybe if I changed, I would buy a victrix and that's only because I want it to be fully compatible with PS5.
Still have my TE stick from SFIV in 09. Still going strong and still my stick of choice on PC
I had the f300 for my first stick, loved it, but it had a pretty bad input delay when I plugged in a controller for console. PC was fine though. Homies got the f500 and absolutely loved it. I upgraded a while ago to the first panthera and haven't looked back
So if i buy a broken stick on a garage sale, the manufacturer is at fault ? Makes no sense to me
I just finally got my hands on a sanwa etokki omni universal. So happy with it.
I actually like the form factor and feel of the F500 so much that i bought the elite version just to have in the collection as a backup.
looks like qanba and mayflash are the most used .
same here, hori rap is humongous and too tall for me
@marcusmeins1839 Yeah, Mayflash simply has one of the best cases on the market for the price.
I bough mayflash v500 v2 so it has sanwa parts. And I gotta its pretty god like
wild thumbnail because I have that exact stick sitting on my lap right now. mayflash gang rise up, it does no wrong
My daily driver is my Madcatz Round 2 Tournament Edition from 2010. I also have two Madcatz TE2. one for playing and the other for spare parts for the future.
Jiyuna made a perfect video about arcade sticks recently
The Mayflash F300 is what I currently use and it works really well. It obviously isn’t the best option but it’s affordable and plays just fine. 8/10 in my opinion and I would recommend it to someone with a budget.
I ordered my first Stick yesterday the qanba drone 2 i Hope it will be worth it
I own 14 sticks, including the Victrix Pro and Qanba Dragon.
What’s the best, most affordable stick?
well from what i have seen these brands are the most used :
Qanba
Mayflash
Hori
Madcatz
And the only ones which are cheap are :
Qanba Crystal or Qanba Drone (drone costs a little bit less than qanba crystal)
Hori Fighting Stick Mini (it's very small )
Mayflash F300 / Mayflash F300 Elite (hearing good reviews from this one)
of course if you want something better (from the same brands) it will cost you a lot more .
Sold my hori rap n months ago and recently got an obsidian. Man I am in love.
The mayflash f500 elite and had it for 2 years now and it hasn't let me down. Got the link ex groove on it with the magic s ultimate to work on my ps5 💪
Justin kept it real 😂
"The guy might've broke the stick, but to me that means its trash"
Hi Justin, great video! 😀How to reach out to you for a product review request? I can't wait to hear what you say about our new product!
I love the comments being filled with people who took exception to Justin's immediate trashing of the Mayflash sticks. I love my F500, too.
List is just missing the new Nacon Daija stick, a.k.a The Kayane Stick
The Mayflash was my first arcade controller! While I would not say it was great by any means it was cheap and got the job done. I now have the Qanba Obsidian so you could say the Mayflash is the gateway stick.
what is the most ergonomic ? I'm going to buy one cause i cant play any fighting games without flaring up in my wrists i got huge hands and bad carpel tunnel. Just played Sfxtekken for 20 mins and my wrist is killing me. I don't need the best stick just one that will allow me to play longer and enjoy it
ranking things you dont know or never tried is mindblowing…
Had to take a double take, was like when did sub to this channel... oh right... +1 for kizzie and J.Wong taking the account
Putting a broken $10 garage controller in 'trash' is mind numbingly stupid.
Where are the names for most of these I've seen two of them online but the rest i want to look them up
I got 3 arcade sticks.
Is HORI Mini ($50) good for starters?
It good...i still use it today
Mayflash F300 was my first stick and it served me well. I have transitioned to using a leverless (flatbox) controller, but that's because my wrist would start hurting a bit from rocking the stick all the time. But as said, it served me well for the four years I've had it for. Definitely recommend upgrading the stock parts to Sanwas for longevity and better feel though.
Clearly we needed to add the SF mini fightstick is needed as well
Hori Mini was my first stick, but it was way too light and flimsy. I sold it after a year.
My next and still current stick was the Hori RAP4 v1. Aside from the lack of touchpad, it still works like a dream.
Funny thing was that I was originally planning to get the TE2, but there were no preorders at the time. So I pivoted towards the cheaper Hori and haven't loomed back
Been thinking of getting one as a beginner but don't know which one 🤔
What about the RAC-J500H Happ Arcade Fight Stick
is the nacon daija arcade sticker any good?
why was the only hori the mini
Are any of these good for low low single father budget but have a good feel? ive gotten into emulating arcade games and realllly miss that clicky arcade stick feel!!! :C
So, that Razer Panthera Evo, is that the same stick that died on Momochi that one Evo?
No it's the atrox which apparently lives up to its name, the worst thing is that another player had the same problem with this stick at this EVO 😅
In surprised y’all didn’t have the OG MAS or those new MAS sticks on here.
Imo
What are the arcade sticks for all platforms?
got the 8bit do. it was pretty good stock. very good value. was able to mod it no issues with all sanwa parts. now its great.
What is the 1. best 2. price/quality wired pc/android arcade stick?
Mayflash sticks are the best to mod. Super easy to take out the parts and can add your art. It’s my main stick and the elites are versions are great if you want quality parts
i want a snackbox micro but they are too expensive in my country, i'm trying to find files with the dimensions so i can get the acrylic cut by a local company for cheap but i can't find it
My first joystick was the Super Nintendo Fighter Stick SN joystick. Then I stuck with dpads until now and got the Razer Kitsune.
As a Mad Catz fanboy I like that Kizzie put the EGO in A. Solid agree. Very sturdy, feels great to use, often on sale, perfect for PC play. if not for the controller dongle, it'd be S tier for me .
New to fightstick what's a good one for ps5
So where is the rank list??!??? Somebody post it please!
Bro I could get gains from doing reps with my Etokki Omni lmao
What’s a good cheap one for beginners to fighting games
Mayflash f300 if you wanna start with arcadesticks
I'm rockin' the F300 with Seimitsu parts. Wish I had a little more space to the left of the stick, but it ain't too bad.
What is the name of the last stick?
My main man is still a Razer Atrox (360, no drops) but I keep my Drone 1 around just because it's so dang cute and light and the little cord cubby was such a great idea. Sad that they got rid of the honeybee motif
I'm definitely in love with my Madcatz SFIV Arcade Fightstick. It's probably not the best stick out there but playing USFIV with it just feels very meant to be played like that.
Yeah it’s my favorite for Final fight and shredder’s revenge too!
Where’d you get yours made if you don’t mind me asking.
Where can you buy these
The launch TE2 died on me in months and when I tried to replace a button, the quick disconnects came off the cable. A shame because up to that point, I always wanted a MadCatz stick and there were no options at the time of very early Killer Instinct until Hori released some HRAPs
Jiyuna! Kitana! Nephew! Punk! Let's get everybody back in the house!
