I hear you. I would say good inexpensive skincare includes Timeless, Cerave, La Roche Pose, to name a few, but I would not entirely compare them to Skinbetter Science, Alastin or ZO. The reason these are much more expensive is because they are much higher quality and deliver more significant results. The degree of research and development, formulations and concentrations of quality ingredients is much higher. That is the reason why they are so much more expensive.
Ania, great videos! Very informative! But, would u be able to give us recommendations of skin care that is half cheaper? We r on very strict budget until summer 2024. Skincare is important to me, especially even skin tone. Could you recommend something that is under 100? Please:)
Acaderma - as good as Skinbetter for third of the price and better textures (less heavy and colorless). I use SkinBetter and Alastin but also like Acaderma.
I wish! No sales, no discount codes or coupons ever! They do offer gifts with purchase and they do giveaways occasionally. There’s a giveaway right now on their Instagram!
HELLO beautiful Dr. Ania, I just watched this video. I have been using Skin Better Science and Alastin products for at least 3 years or longer. I am debating if I should try different medical grade products. If so which products do you recommend for AM & PM? I must admit, Skin Better Science and Alastin products are extremely effective and magical. T any recommendation on face oil product? Do you recommend face oil, if so which product? thank you again. Regards, Sandy
Dr. Ania, are your shop site will run a sale for Thanksgiving and or Christmas on all Alastin and Skinbetter products? Please try to negotiate a discount with the providers for your viewers, at least 30% would be great. I will be the first one fighting for the goodies...
You’re not the only one wishing for this!! I wish they would also. But they never have sales, discounts or codes. They offer gifts with purchase every month and the occasional giveaway. There a giveaway happening now on instagram on their page.
Thank you for all your information. I just got a little confused what to do with the intense retinol. Is that safe for eczema prone skin or am I better off with the other?
Hi doctor, I'm new to your channel and found you after your interview with Claudia Glows. These products sound amazing but are so pricey. If you had to pick one which one would you choose? Thank you!
It’s really hard to say because it depends on your skin’s needs. I would probably choose alto advanced if I wanted a good antioxidant. If my concern was oil/redness then Mystro without a doubt. If I wanted to start on a retinol then I would choose Alpharet.
I'm very interested in trying the Skin Better product line. Which Skin Better products would replace Daily Power Defense, 10% Vitamin C and Brightalive by ZO Skin Health? Thank you!!
Daily power defense is a watered down blend of Trio and Alto Advanced. 10% vitamin c - Alto Advanced Brightalive - Even Tone Let me know how you like them!
Kind of, not really. It does help with the skin barrier for sure! But doesn’t address much in the other aspects of healthy hydrated skin. I also really dislike jars. Products exposed to air and fingertips will oxidize faster and need so many more preservatives. I just think it more about marketing and creating “a look” in the line than looking out for customer’s best intersts.
Thanks for the answer. I also saw that you used to use the zo exfoliating polish and the complexion pads for the getting ready step. Does the oxygen infusion wash and the scrub mask have the same purpose? If yes, which one do you suggest for oily skin?
Enjoy your videos. Just started using Alto defense serum and AlphaRet overnight cream. Finding the Alto serum to be drying.. not really like a serum. Is that how this product should be? I have dry skin. Thanks
Your skin looks beautiful! Do you recommend Alastin's HE serum and their Skin restorative complex, or do you prefer skinbetter products? I value your advice-thank you!
I do like the Alastin HA and I’m not a fan of HA in general but if I was to choose one, the immerse serum is the only one I would wear! I love the restorative complex for face and for eyes. It’s the best peptide serum in my opinion. It’s the sister of skin nectar.
SkinBetter doesnt have a peptide serum or hydrating serum like Alastin HA or Restorative. You cant compare apples and oranges. SkinBetter has other good products though.
Your skin is glowing. A lot of people talk about out not mixing certain ingredients. Can you use a vitamin C serum with the skinbetter even tone. Or do you have to use one at night and one in the day? I always enjoy watching your videos. Thank you for sharing ❤
Thank you so much! Yes you can mix in a vitamin C serum. If you choose a low pH one (ascorbic acid) then make sure it’s the first thing that goes on your skin.
All these products look wonderful. I do have a question. I'm surprised you don't also use the products on your neck and decollete. Is there a reason you don't? Thanks!
Good question. Usually I use alto advanced on my neck and follow it up with a neck cream. I also use a little retinol at times. It varies. I never use Even tone on the neck. Mystro would actually be a good idea. Maybe I’ll start
I tried Skin Better Even Tone, Alto Defense and Trio. These products made my entire face red. I tried Trio by itself but it made my entire face red. Not sure which ingredient is making my skin red. Very disappointing as I wanted to love these products.
@@theocbeautymd Recently, I tried the SkinBetter Alto Advanced Defense and Repair serum with positive results. I did not experience any redness or irritation. 😊

Hi Dr. Ania, do you know the percentage of THD in Alto Advanced Serum? And do you think that the SkinBetter Science brand is better for firming and laxity than Alastin? I know hard to choose! Thanks.
Skinbetter does not disclose concentrations but Alto is meant to be a balanced antioxidant serum. The “balance” is between water soluble, fat soluble and enzymatic antioxidants. The star antioxidant in this formula is PQQ. So it’s not really comparable to “vitamin C serums”. For firming and laxity I love the Alastin restorative complex and nectar (after procedures. The Interfuse face and neck is great from skinbetter also
Hi, I’m using the skin better gentle cleanser, phloretin cf, Mystro in the am, and no phloretin but malpharet clearing serum in the evening. I’m looking to add the even tone but wondering if it’s acne safe? Also I have the Paula’s choice 10% Azelaic acid but not sure where to fit that in with my skin better/skinceuticals products?
@@theocbeautymd thank you! I will try that. It seems a little heavier than the skin better products so I wasn’t sure. I have started even tone too. So far I’m very happy with the results and it’s only been 3 weeks of skin better products!
When I use my SkinBetter Science line - including their SPF - I still get pilling. Shouldn’t they all work well together? I was very disappointed! Any advice?
I have never experienced this or heard about it from my patients. If you use the products in the correct order and amount and experience pilling, I would wonder about your individual skin chemistry interacting with the products, because this should not happen. I’m sorry you’re having this experience
Your skincare is very expensive. Maybe i can buy only one product per mont, but not more. Could you please look into more afordable brands and let us know which one would work well enough without costing us an arm and a leg :)? Thank you.
I so enjoy watching your skincare routines ❤

Love this Chanel. Makes me want to buy everything SkinBetter!!!! Would you consider doing a video with SkinCeuticals products?!
It would be difficult to give the depth of knowledge I like to share because I don't work with the brand and don't have access to their "secrets"
I am a little confused when to use mystro? Morning too? When in the routine? After all serums and before moisturizer?
Do you think you could talk about body care?
