19:22, why would you take the bishop here? Your knight is a great outpost, and his bishop is blocked in by all his pawns! Always look at relative value of minor pieces before you decide to trade :)
He loves swapping including a great knight for a AWFUL Bishop
the only justification i can give is that the knight will never do more than that - if the bishop gets to d8 it might even be better than the knight
@@quinine379 the knight pressured the end of the f6 pawn chain forcing its defence and pressured the bishop as well forcing its defence making it hard to untangle it was a great knight for a horrible bishop
@@steve.k4735 Yes, I know. I was trying to find the faintest of justifications for what could have been going on in Patrick's mind
Damn nice game!
15:40. Patrick, what about en passant? Did you forget about this move?)
I was waiting for it too! Especially as he had mentioned it earlier! Next time 🤞
@@scottycranwell283 He mentioned at 7:00 :)
Nail-biting at the end. Good win.
In the moment he never even mentioned it, time and again he gets stuck in loops and can not see alternatives
Thought the same!
Another good game Patrick 🤝
Solid game. Especially well played under time pressure towards the end. You so nearly blundered with Rxb5 at 27:1 with 15 secs on clock.
At 21:13 I particularly liked your Qe3. I was worried you would hang the b2 pawn here. That was a great move.
At 24:48 g4 was another vital move.
I agree, Qe3 was the star move. But boy, the engine sure didn't like Patrick's kingside attack. The suggested moves were just moving the pieces back whence they came.
@@baka1949 I have noticed that Patrick's main way of playing chess is to attack h7. Often it is effective. But sometimes he forces it when a kingside attack is not really appropriate.
I think to get to 1500 and beyond he has to develop to the point where he is able to attack on either flank or even just to infiltrate on an open file. It is more difficult to attack like this because the immediate threat is not usually mate. Sometimes you can just sit tight and wait for your opponent to blunder. Patience is needed.
En passant, this is Patrick. Patrick, I introduce you to en passant. You could have finish the game in the middle with en passant at 15:16. You have to consider that move to go past 1500 ELO
8:40 you got me singing the Rook b1 song. There's a reason why it's almost never good.
I am nearly 2000 in rapid. I started to play bullet recently and it's funny how 1200-1500 rapid guys demolish me in bullet :)
Me also at the beginning, because bullet has its own tricks. You can not play the same openings. Sometimes you just need to sacrifice your queen meaningless in a complex situation and let the other guy spends his time and just flag him.
@@MicroClases_Ciencia yes completely different game. I try to get better position in most cases, but that's not the best strategy for bullet.
I am losing about 80 % of bullet games while being + 3, + 6, or +12 in material, people are just much better at bullet strategies!
Good game, Patrick.. Well done!!
Well done!
You can do it bro
Right as you said “how’s everybody doing” I hit my head on a low doorway. So yeah, don’t watch chess and try to organize the shed at the same time.
Hahahah this made me laugh. And then I felt bad for laughing… hope you’re ok!
Are there people sleeping in the house?, why is Patrick always whispering, even when he is not focused and playing?. Is he trying to hypotize us?
You were considering hanging your bishop at the eleventh hour! Glad you didn’t :)
Another day another video, keep it up!
Most annoying opponent ever 😅
Another step closer!
Very nice
im in
❤
15:12 en passant!!
@15:55 onwards, is there any reason why Patrick did not try going Queen to H5, then Queen to F7? That looked like the natural play to me. Checking the king, taking the bishop etc.
After Qf7, Black plays Rg7 blocking the check while protecting the Bishop with x-ray and kicking the Queen back out.
Or even better for Black is after Qh5, Be8 followed by h5
Patrick hate to break it to you, but you'll never reach 2000! You just make too many inaccuracies
Shut up
