I love the demon growl synth in this track, hits you first with the high bass... then the deep bass mix overpowers it halfway through the note. Captain's a bloody genius. Olli's solo is also perhaps his most technically brilliant.
I was waiting for a react video from their new album other than Requiem. This album really shows Marko’s vocal falsetto. In Hello Cabaret he hits a note I don’t know I have heard him sing before.
I think the best way to go is to just go through the album in order. It flows perfectly and is in my opinion the very best album PotF have released so far!
I think it's super bland. The fact that it all flows together and sounds the same makes it feel like it just drags on. It's definitely better than their previous 2 albums, but I wouldn't say it's the best.

@@BigFry9591 You've been quite demanding regarding their last three albums lol Maybe you just miss their older styles with some more heavier rock vibes :p Yet, I was feeling the same few days ago about Ghostlight, something lacking in order to be a genuine banger (still imo). But now digging it more deeply and also being more receptive to music, I just love most of the songs, great feelings for globally softer and mellower rock there. I haven't been hooked on very few songs (yet) like Revelations or Heroes and Villains but these are the ones I need to listen to more than I do. I think like such kind of album, it may not be a banger in the first listens but it grows on you like a fine wine over time. Also I am not English-speaking so I can't imagine what I'm missing about the lyrics but overall it's beautiful (Hello Cabaret seems to be a love song for us fans
@@Sparkle648 That's the tricky part about making art, though. Every artist is different. They make different works of art, and that's a very good thing. The more different pieces the better. However, there's a reason why variety can be both a good and a bad thing. Say you like a band because they make awesome rock music. But then that band switches to making a bunch of pop and country music. You can't expect past fans to stay or even love the new stuff. But what becomes of those fans? Are they expected to just leave and find a different band? What if there is no band that sounds like them?
@@Flouflouche You're right. But I wouldn't say I'm "demanding". I am being very critical of them. I do admit that. That's because I care deeply about their music. They are my favorite band, and I don't want them to change from what I loved about them. Making different music is fine and all, but when all of your recent music is completely different from your past music, it feels like leaving all your past fans behind. Aside from that, there are objective flaws that can be seen in the music. Such as a lack of variety (surprising enough) in the songs. If all the songs are the same way, then it diminishes the effect. It's like eating the same things every day. It may taste good at first, but then you start to hate it. So when most songs are "mellow" and "softer", they have less of an impact. Their older albums have a great balance of hard rock songs, and gentle songs. They also put less emphasis on Marko's voice. The mixing brought the instruments up to match the volume of him, sometimes drowning out the words. All in all, I don't think it's a bad album. Like I said, I think it's better than their previous 2. It just doesn't scratch the itch that old PotF did. I was hoping for something harder, and it's just about the opposite of that.

Welcome back! I have been listening to Ghostlight on loop since it came out and every single time I hear it, I love it more. It's an absolute masterpiece. Your reaction to the intro for Firedancer was the same as mine - just utter amazement and delight. I have my fingers crossed they will use it to open their live shows because that would be INCREDIBLE. Cannot wait to see them live this weekend! I had the same thought about it being a bit too loud but I think it was mostly because I didn't know the lyrics yet. I don't feel like it's an issue anymore (but I've heard it approximately 50 times by now). It's great to see you react to this and I hope you'll just go through the full album in order like Ya BOI Sparkle648 suggested. The second song is Requiem for my Harlequin, which you already reacted to, so next up would be Sounds of Yesterday, which inexplicably made me cry the moment it started playing for the first time. Very much looking forward to all your thoughts on this album!
Thanks for doing these reactions. Firedancer is probably one of my if not favourite from this new album. It's neither sad nor happy song, it's strong and it's a great opener. I can hear Marko and lyrics very clearly on my sutdio monitors and also in a car. I agree it's best to do it in order skipping Requiem for my Harlequin of course. You could also give a 1-10 rating for a song at the end haha.
I really suggest you to react to the "Weaver Of Dreams" from the same album. It has powerful chorus and the calm verses. It sounds like a song which is sung near a campfire at night
Thanks for posting your video! I agree that the uploaded version of Firedancer unbalances the instruments and Marko's voice. When I listen to it on CD (ripped-FLAC), it's much more balanced. Marko's voice is louder and clearer, so I think you have a legitimate gripe about the audio quality of the uploaded track.
it was too loud bcz this music looks like tuned for new remedy game aw2 .start was fantastic for music will fitting in survival horror game...like take control song marko is in background bcz in games you focus on vibes not lyrics
@@Reckyj yeah they works with remedy entertainment over 20 years and marko is old friend of sam lake ( creative director /writer at remedy ) late goodbye was for max payne 2 and lyric was by sam lake ....take control was for control ....and 4 song with special lyric for alan wake 1 and they called old god of asgard band they even created pages in spotify and instagram and other platforms....firedancer sound like will be somewhere in remedy-verse to me like happy song and my dark disquit both was in game too .second one had music video with a special phone in game
