Wow! It's very very helpful to have homemade options for treating fungus on my orchids!😊 I will def be saving this video for future refernce👍 Thank you!❤😊❤
So good to be able to grab something from the kitchen when you spot a nasty fungal outbreak on your precious orchids. No nasty chemicals involved, either. Thank you.
Thank you so much for this! I walked into the farm store to buy fungicide just last week and couldn't bring myself to buy it! I have a cinnamon tree and I think I'll be trying a weak cinnamon tea, or maybe the milk wipe-down.. Your thoughts? Treating for cercospora on a single phal and potentially a cattleya.
give it a wipe down with the milk and then in 2 or three days use the cinnamon and then do this all again after 2 weeks from the initial milk treatment , also if you are early on the catt then if you can find a chamomile tea bag you can enjoy a cup of tea and use the last sip to wash off the leaf end of week 1 , but not really needed lol
I've heard of baking soda being used to raise the PH of the media. What could I use to disinfect the roots of young orchids growing in moss that have already developed algae in only two months? I have to repot and use a decorative container next time.
you can use garlic to help with the algae and disinfect their roots without causing damage to tender young plants . you can check this video out to see how we do it ruclips.net/video/nf2cnzLEgrE/видео.htmlsi=iJCVdFn1gmuOZmuK
@@thenaturecompany Thank you for the recommendation. I used a clove of garlic, one drop of tea tree oil and neem oil today for these orchid and now they are in decorative pots to block any light. • Phalaenopsis schilleriana (Luzon Philippines) • Phalaenopsis bellina Sarawak ('Red Apple' x alba) - Indonesia • Phalaenopsis violacea Malay-Sumat coerulea Tawan Blue
