Triplets are 3 evenly spaced notes that fill the space of 2 regular notes. The phrase, "bucket o' fish" is a good way to become familiar with the rhythm of triplets. Bucket o' fish. Bucket o' fish. Bucket o' bucket o' bucket o' fish. Kinda like at 1:39
@Armand Hindrichs bucket o' fish= 1-trip-let-2- The "fish" is a whole note, it's the start of the next bar. That's why I put the "bucket o' bucket o' bucket o' fish" which would be counted "one-trip-let-2-trip-let-3-triplet-4-". It's all really hard to explain in writing, a lot easier to hear and understand.
@@likse1063 not sure if you got a 7 string, but Jackson has the JS line which is like 200 bucks out the door for a 7 string. They come very plain, but nice loud pick ups and a solid platform in case you want to swap the pickups at some point, or just want to get a feel for 7 string before you invest in something bigger. I love my JS22-7 and still play it constantly
@@nikoraasu6929 I do not agree with you "bro", I think the song is closer to a djenty sound than far from it. Also other reaction channels seems to agree with that. Since Djent was not what Meshuggahs genre was called before djent was a thing and Meshuggah still is first and foremost called Technical Death metal and groove metal. Also Meshuggah is famous for playing a lot of "tripplets" which is heavily used in this song.
This must be freaking exhausting and needs soo much precision to hit those triplets consistently with this high pace. Respect. Entire song is a masterpiece. I also love how you get back to that single note every time between the triplets in the chorus :) Great song and great job - love you guys :)
This song is what made me want to learn tremolo picking and good clean fast gallops. I mean, nearly the entire song is just back and forth between sick gallops to all out tremolo picking and it NEVER gets old! This song alone should be shown in classes teaching the technique 😂
Enjoying this must be a sin. Incredibly good! I almost prefer this playthrough, or let's say 'instrumental version', over the original one, wich is outstanding, but... duuuude... THIS version is something special! Many thanks for sharing this with us! 🙏🖤
So sick. How the music pairs with the lyrics and how the entire song in general just sounds like doom - epic. Also love the lyrics. Such great story telling on so many songs. Nailed it, guys. Keep it up.👌🏽🤘🏽
Fit for an autopsy has always had some of the CLEANEST guitar tones out of any metal band I have ever fucking heard. I would love to get lessons from them one day on how to get the perfect tone and some of the tones and techniques they use. Sometimes I can't even believe what I'm hearing during their breakdowns! These guys really really know their instruments and it shows!
@@IamTimHowley what other songs of FFAA’s are in this tuning? As a music transcriber, I want to cover all my bases. I’ll also probably have to make many adjustments to my tabs on Ultimate-Guitar and Songsterr, seeing as I assumed that Fit only did Drop A and Drop G these days.
These guys, also Carnifex AND Whitechapel are my deathcore heroes. They're so much more tasteful and groovy than, for example, Lorna Shore, wich I kinda like sometimes, too
hello, first of all, the guitar video without vocals is very nice, we are waiting for the same instrumental guitar videos for the remaining songs of the album.
Which type of guitar is this? I'm thinking of getting into guitar playing, but am not sure which type guitar I should go for... Would my best choice be a 'cheap' beginner electric guitar? I want to be able to play stuff like this, especially at 4:19 and 4:40 Thanks!
Well, hello there. My dude, you’ve not enough strings! I need YOU to need MORE (strings). Very well done cover-gtr-play. Thanks for sharing with us all! I’m trying to do this now on my “white bitch”… aka an old white fender acoustic/ the last guitar my dad played before he passed at a measly 54yrs old. He taught me early how to play and tune by ear. Now I’m 42. Anyway I won’t give my a/s/l ((hahahaha ha har))but kinda want to go back to when ‘that’ was cool. Take care and thanks again
The dexterity required to play this all the way through still amazes me
Dude was put on earth to play guitar.
This galloping/triplets moment.... the ALL song too of course! Love FFAA!
"noooooo but but but they are two 16th and 8th notes" 🤡🤡

I thought metal was getting lame until I found these guys and a handful of others. Love groove metal
BIG gojira vibes on these riffs. Awesome work fellas.
Yea sounds like Vacuity mixed with Backbone
Gojira with Rivers of Nihil
A more oldschool person would say Meshuggah vibes :)

3:12 idk if im dumb deaf or what but that swipe with the pick never figure it out how they do that. amazing work all the song.
They're basically doing a pickscrape but instead of going down the neck they go in the direction of the bridge
