Congrats to Cincy! Btw, former Bearcats QB Zach Collaros is doing really well in the CFL. He's up for the league's Most Outstanding Player Award. Also his Winnipeg Blue Bombers are 1 game away from defending their Grey Cup victory from 2 years ago. The CFL cancelled last season.
He was a beast. If he never breaks his leg he'd be pro right now after giving cincy a chip!

Congratulations to the Bearcats of Cincinnati for winning the AAC title and making the CFP field. Even if Alabama blows them out, no one can take away the kind of season they had, and with a coach long associated with Ohio State. Luke Fickell deserves some kind of College Coach of the Year award for turning around that program. All this at a traditional basketball school. It's a new era of college football at Cincinnati. I couldn't be happier for them. Good luck against the Tide.

I really want them to win in the CFP, always rooting for the underdogs even though there the only undefeated team with the #4 seed.
This puts Cincinnati in the College Football Playoff with this win for sure. Now, let’s see what they do against a team like Alabama, which is gonna be a long shot at beating them

@@nathan.d.c well, I'm not crying about it. We come from similar backgrounds. I'm a Utah fan, they deserved a spot to play for the title in 2008, smashed Alabama in the sugar Bowl and finished 13-0. But playing 9 P5 teams versus playing 3 or 4 isn't the same. I like Cinci, I just don't think they have had many tough games. They will find out after next year playing in the Big12. Much tougher than the AAC, just like when Utah joined the Pac12. It was a whole different thing. Utah finally won their conference and is now going to Face The Ohio State university in the Rose Bowl. It might not be fair, but that's my take, Utah and Cinci traveled the same path. No, I'm not crying about anything. That's where you're wrong brother.
@@markbrinton6790 first off, the AAC teams are not moving to the Big 12 until at least 2023. Secondly, I think Cincinatti did a pretty darn good job proving their toughness when they beat two power conference schools back to back in away games. I get it, the AAC wasn't amazing this year. But they only get four non-conference games a year. They did what they could in scheduling Indiana and Notre Dame. I wish scheduling teams was easier than it is, but unfortunately that won't happen. It isn't worth it for a top power school to schedule a top group of five school like Cincy right now. But as a UCF fan, this is history for us. And thankfully the years of getting screwed over will be over once we leave.

You just said what I did, in 2023, which is year after next, exactly what I said, so your Whole "first off" statement was exactly what I said. And it will be a whole new ballgame. Cinci won't be 12-0 versus those teams unlike in the AAC is my point.

Historically there have been multiple years in which G5 team were the ONLY undefeated teams and they still didn’t make the Top 5....

I can't see Cincinnati's defense stopping any likely playoff opponent, but it's nice they will have the opportunity.
Some people forget this is the same cinch team that only loses by three to the that sec team last year in the bowl game. They do better than the country thinks. They have 23 seniors on this team

@@AlphaDwg yes it was before the college playoffs were a thing I am aware. At the time they beat Oklahoma in the Fiesta bowl which is one the main new year 6 bowls.
You know being a bama fan after beating auburn ( better believe we all been talking smack) beating UGA when nobody in the country literally didn't think it was possible ( we all definitely been smack talking!!) But can't really smack talk this great Cincy team. They have an offense like ours. Ridder may not be competing for Heisman, but I think this is going to be a really good game. I’m a bama fan and I didn’t think we were gonna beat Georgia. Just because I, along with most bama fans, didn’t think we would win doesn’t mean I didn’t watch and cheer for my team. If he or I were fairweather fans, as soon as bama was down 10 points I would’ve turned the game off and not watched anymore then hear about their win afterwards and be like “ohh yeah man let’s go bama woo”. Of course he hopes cinci wins against bama and sounds like he’ll watch the game and support his team through a loss or a win. There’s just a difference in watching teams all year and knowing how they’ve played and going the logical route. I mean if bama were slotted to play Vanderbilt I’m sure almost every vandy fan would think “yeah bama is gonna destroy us” but still watch and support their team. Cincinnati plays Georgia for the national championship, I think that’s what’s going to happen. Bearcats really have a great chance to go all the way, I think they can do it. They have the talent to compete with the other teams in the field they could possibly face.

Cincinnati, Houston, UCF, and BYU are all better programs than most currently in the Big 12.
They would all crush Kansas, and also beat TCU, West Virginia, Kansas State, and maybe even Texas or Texas Tech. They could beat Baylor as well.

Cincinnati came within inches of not making the CFP - they should send that Baylor defensive player a Christmas basket for stopping the OK State RB short of the goal line on the final play otherwise OK State would have gotten the 4th spot over them.
