      Tim Tebow scored 34 times in 549 touches in his first 15.5 games and 13 plays in the NFL.
      In 2017, this would rank 2nd in the NFL for total scores by a quarterback.
      In 2010/2011, Tim Tebow scored 34 times in 549 touches (passing or rushing) in his first 15.5 games and 13 plays.
      In 2010, Peyton Manning scored 33 times in 697 touches.
      Tebow was 21% more efficient at scoring than Manning. He was already better than Manning
      Manning didn't earn the job in Denver, Tebow did.
      Mannng didn’t score more times than Tebow until his 7th season in the NFL. Before 2011, only 2 of Manning's 13 seasons had more scores per touch than Tebow had in his first 16 games of playing time.
      Tebow threw a TD every 16.4 attempts in 2010 and 19.6 attempts in his first 16 in 2010/2011
      Orton threw a TD every 24.9 attempts in 2010 and 28 attempts in 2011.
      Manning threw a TD every 20.5 attempts in 2010
      Tebow also scored every 11.6 rushing attempts, ran for 937 yards and 46 rushing first downs.
      19 TDs passing and 15 rushing scores. That's the same ratio he had in college with 88 passing and 57 rushing.
      In 2012, Tim Tebow was the fastest scoring QB in their first 16 games of playing time since Dan Marino in 1984.

    Reading all the comments.... When Tebow was in the NFL, the NFL made a big push to get rid of all the John 3:16 signs at the end zones. Remember every game had John 3:16 sings? Guess who also uncompromisingly wore John 3:16? Tim Tebow! He was black balled for sure! People can argue this and that stat, but it was clear the NFL did not want him in the league.
    Now looking back a few years you can see clearly how the NFL went Woke, with the politically correct crowd. There are so many examples of this politically correctness in the last few years. Tim was merely one of the first victims of this wokeness and politically correctness before a lot of people really realized what was going on.

    He looked like a man amongst boys. Sure looked like he could throw to me. Maybe John Fox should hav let him, you know, actually get in a rhythm instead of running constantly. Fox stunted tebows growth, when if he just let Tim go play he would have been much better throwing. Look at the end of broncos games when they let Tim get going and throw more... he got way more accurate and made lots of plays. Too bad he was wasted by crooked good ol’ boys nfl management

    • @mikehoncho7783
      @mikehoncho7783 6 лет назад

      jnixa1010 Fox was inept at CAROLINA and proved he couldn’t develop NFL talent. Had Tebow gone to Pittsburgh and been a backup or Big Ben, he would have fit perfectly in that system. Nobody could have done anything with the poor offensive line of the Jets and New England never would have considered playing him. Shame he couldn’t have been a fit somewhere.

    y was it even a question where tebow would get drafted ? the commentators keep talking abt how maybe he could raise his draft stock and stuff like that but wouldn’t a player that put up numbers like his b a no brainer #1 overall pick ? I didn’t watch CFB back then so I’m genuinely confused

    • @Gators7557
      @Gators7557 Год назад

      It’s because of his play style. Back then, pro offenses were way different, and no quarterback in the nfl could run except ones like Vick.
      Also, Tebows throwing motion was slower than normal, and they thought he should change it, which turned out to be a bad decision.
      Anything thing is how he ran. They didn’t think he would last long in the nfl if he ran and created contact that much on every play.

    I still don't understand why the NFL gave up so quickly on Tebow. If he could achieve these very impressive passing results on a championship college team, I sure he would have been okay in the NFL even as a backup quarterback. The guy was a winner and a great leader to have on a team. NFL players did not like him since he was too famous, too well behaved, too good lookin and should I say it, too white.

    • @Gators7557
      @Gators7557 Год назад

      I agree. Don’t know why they gave up so early either. The coaching was terrible in the games as well. They coulda done way better for him. They let him call his own plays in the 4th quarter, which turned out great at least. But they gave him one year as a backup and then expected him to be so good for his first starting year. And then you have someone like Anthony Richardson who goes 6/17 and a pick against 2nd and 3rd stringers in preseason and they say he did good.
