No Moving Freight In Sight Amtrak Only Railfanning Schenectady & Around Saratoga County

Well here we are on a nice warm day Railfanning. To start off I went Railfanning in ballston spa for a little bit then I did catch one freight train which was NS 30T which it was tied down and I knew it was going to stay there longer next I went to a crossing then as I looked to my left I saw the signals it was green over red which means there was another train coming that has clearance so I look to my right saw that there was a train coming which was Amtrak Adirondack 68 going to Saratoga Springs which is gonna turn around at the wye at the Saratoga Springs yard and store it at the Saratoga Springs station since they can’t run to Montreal until the track work is done by the end of June. I will highly admit that I wish they had both locomotives on both ends since it would be easier to just at least go far north as rouses point then back south to New York City. Then I went to Schenectady station and had lunch there then I saw Amtrak lake shore limited PO48 with a couple private cars which some of my friends were Railfanning in Amsterdam and they caught them too. Then while they are loading & unloading passengers I saw Amtrak Ethan Allen express 290 and it was very hard to see it since the lake shore limited is blocking the view because it’s long, so I couldn’t tell what the road numbers were on the Ethan Allen express but I did know they were P32AC-DM’s which the Ethan Allen express took only a couple minutes to load & unload passengers and the lake shore limited took about ten minutes. This was a very interesting Railfanning journey today so let’s sit back, relax, & enjoy.
