Why couldn't they acquire the 'Aliens' ip for the land? Was it too expensive or did they find the source material problematic? Since these are all 20th Century/Fox ips, they should have an Aliens/Predator themed land. That AvP rollercoaster seems cool.
There was an agreement in place, but due to Disney acquiring 20th Century Fox, the deal was made void. The contract with Blue Sky Studios was still in place, that's why Ice Age, Rio, Robots and Epic IPs are in the park.
I’d prefer the original theme park in place of the current Genting Skyworlds. My ideal Genting Skyworlds theme park should include lots of original lands and a few IPs from different companies to make it an awesome theme park!
I greatly enjoy your videos but I have to comment that sticking around till the end of this never actually brought the news of "exciting new additions" that you mentioned more than once! I was hoping for something... I travel to Malaysia every 5 weeks and have visited the park, more than once hoping it will be truly entertaining but sadly it is not; last trip in June, Night at The Museum, Independence Day, The Ice Age Coaster, Terraform Tower were out of action, as was most of the entertainment and the "new" cable car. The park itself looked in dire need of refurbishment and a deep clean! As for Descent Into Darkness and Mad Ramp Peak I wouldn't hold your breath on them opening. Genting wish to focus on the casino side and not the theme park (Sadly) so they are not willing to spend any further money on it. It is really a shame as it is a unique park, in an amazing location and could be fantastic with a little effort. Thanks for such comprehensive reports!
It doesn’t look like a theme park after renovation. Visited when I was a kid, it was so colorful and so cool
I definitely want more theme parks for the Genting Resort in Malaysia!

Because too " scary " for kids. All scary things need to be remove since the theme park already be " family friendly image "
