Hi Suzie! This is a brilliant idea to use instead of foil or plastic 💝 I have plenty of viscose/rayon and cotton lawn in my scraps box so this will very handy. I've started to make project bags to use up spare fabric and plan to make zipper pouches too. Pretty fabric is more aesthetically pleasing than cling film any day 😑 I'm looking forward to more of your ideas, so yay to utilising scraps = less waste!! X
I love this series! It is my goal to reduce my use of plastics, and this will be a great way to store food in the kitchen. I live in Florida, so the heat may not work well for transporting food. I'll give it a go, but may have to still use glass containers for that. These will make lovely gifts as well. Thank you!
Yes, the heat with you will be considerably different from in NI so I really don't know how they will fare! But its definitely worth a shot, and if not then as you say, glass containers are perfect.
Another great video Suzie. I was a bit sceptical about these but you've totally convinced me! And well done with the watch sponsorship - I personally don't mind at all.
Hi Suzie, what a fantastic idea 💕. Always on the lookout for more sustainable ideas and this one is brilliant 🐝👌. Very well demonstrated too...a winner👍😁💝
Thanks for this. i looked into this a bit before Christmas but got a bit worried about the different grades of beeswax available. i wass looking at huge price variation based on the purity, how did you decide what to go with ? thanks
Wow - what a neat, neat idea! Hmmm - if you used Liberty Tana Lawn fabric scraps, they would be designer wraps! The mint green fabric with Polka Dots from Sew Over It! I haven’t done anything with mine yet. That watch is adorable. I love the band on it especially.
Ha, Liberty wraps would be amazing! And yes, that's the same spot that you managed to pick up! I discovered that it's actually a Lady McElroy fabric, so also rather designer, lol.
this is a wonderful idea. I am using reusable plastic containers and they eve really will need to be trashed. can the old beeswax coated cotton fabric be thrown into the compost bin when you eventually are ready to toss out. how do you store them between uses
Yes I think they would be compostable! To store I just make sure they are clean and then fold up and store in a drawer in the kitchen (they stay clean/aren't contaminated by anything).
Oh my gosh!! You are in my brain ha ha :-) I have spent hours this week watching various tutorials on this. Suuuch a good way to use up scraps and also being a bit more thoughtful about waste. Love this so much :-) How clever are bees! Have you also been Marie Kondo(ing) your house? ;-) (if you haven't heard of her check out her book, audio book or netflix series). Take Care, and thanks for your lovely tutorial. Gabrielle
Oh fab! Hope you give it a go! Ha ha, yes EVERYONE is Marie Kondo-ing at the moment aren't they! I actually listened to her book when it first came out and went a bit crazy then (about 3 yrs ago?). My favourite take away from it is how she folds clothes, its brilliant!
@@Threadquarters, see... That's one more thing to coordinate with you top! Shoes, bag, skirt or pants... And now, sandwich wrap! Blimey! What will people think!?
Hmm, I'm afraid I haven't tested it out, and I'm going to guess that your heat will be considerably more than any heat we get over in NI, so you may have to just test it out for yourself. But the wraps are perfect for storing things in the fridge so even if they don't work in the hot sun, they can still be used.
Thanks for getting back to me.. I still think it's a brilliant idea and intend making a few out of muslin and using a cool box for picnics and the beach.....Will let you know how that goes.... Keep up the good work kind regards Lynne

Don’t know if you are aware jojoba oil added to the wax + rosin makes the fabric easier to manage authentic fabrics are not recommended,, the best is actually linen.
Hi Suzie. I’m am just starting to make these but love your idea of the line over the hob. Will try this method as it seems the easiest. Thank you. 🇬🇧
Love the beeswax tutorial and love the wood wristband for the watch! Thank you! Have a great week!
Perfect timing! I'm in the process of sorting out my fabrics and trying to find uses for my scraps. Can't wait for your next idea. Thank you!
I love this idea for little gifts!!
Thanks!
I have watched many of these beeswax DIY and this one scares me. Like to make. But you did a great video. Thank you for this. I appreciate it.
Glad it was helpful!

I have a bunch of old single bed sheets that will work really well for this. I'm very excited!
Perfect!
Thanks for the tutorial. I’ve been planning to make some of these for a while so you’ve prompted me to get on with it xx
Fantastic...thank you for sharing...I love how you made a pouch for your sandwich 🥪 😊🌺
Love this idea and gifting too. Love your top. I might try that too. Thank you for the wonderful videos.
Thanks Suzie, brilliant video. Great idea and love the watch.
Thank you so much for your video, I looked at these in Lakeland but would much prefer to make my own. I’m off to order some beeswax right away!
Oh that's great Karen!
Brilliant Suzy! I have never seen this. May have to give it a try. Wow.

Great video love the wraps
Thank you so much for the demonstration 😀👍👍 it’s just been added to my list to try xx
I love the idea! Now we just need to protect the bees in the world. ;)

I decided that if it was cosmetic grade it should be OK.

Oh Susie - that’s really cool. I thought that Lady McElroy fabric was only flowered fabrics. How fun - thanks for sharing that!

Thanks, Suzanne, Ive been wanting to try this but I am more encouraged with the demonstration
It is so easy! Hope you give it a try.
Adding a few drops of jojoba oil or coconut oil will help with them being pliable and lasting longer.
That’s what I have been doing
super, so beautiful. Thank you.
Does the wax not come off when being used?

Thank you for sharing.
You are doing a great job.
Love this tutorial. Thank you. Val🇨🇦🇬🇧❤️
Very cool! I'm going to try this!
Everything goes in circles...the precursor to baking parchment / foil / cling film was waxed paper :)
So true - we wanted convenience, but are now realising the cost (to our planet as well as monetary), and switching back!
Just think your sandwich wrap can match your outfit for the day! 💝☀🌵
Lol! Yes! I'm actually wearing a top that I've made one of the food wraps out of today!
@@Threadquarters, see... That's one more thing to coordinate with you top! Shoes, bag, skirt or pants... And now, sandwich wrap! Blimey! What will people think!?
I love the idea but would the wax leave a residue on your food .Also would the wax leave marks in your bag and on your clothing.
It doesn't leave any residue on food, and I haven't noticed it leaving any marks.
It's a brilliant idea
Hi... Love the idea of this but how does the wax react to say a picnic on the beach in hot sun?

Which pattern is it.
