    I’ve beaten Bioshock 57 times since it released in 2007, I could draw every room corner to corner and say every spoken line in order depending on where you go and when, I used to fantasize as a young teenager about living in Rapture and while playing, I would often brew a cup of coffee, dim the lights in my room, play a playlist of 1930’s-1940’s music on my iMac, and immerse myself in the game wholeheartedly. I’m now almost 30 and I’ve slowed down the amount I play it so I can still feel refreshed with it once or twice a year.
    I just want to say, I love you all for making this, it was awesome and a treat for a diehard fan like me. Honestly I think modern Filmmaking for the most part these days sucks ass, and everyone’s tastes have degraded too, and so I don’t know if I ever want a “video game movie” done again, not even Metal Gear Solid or BioShock, because if it was never done to perfection before(90’s Mortal Kombat excluded), it sure as hell couldn’t be now. Not only that, but video games are their medium for a reason. A play through could be 400 hours of immersion. Movies just can’t be games. But this was the closest I think it’s ever felt for me. Thanks.

    Really outlines just how much of an evil man Fontaine was. Such a great twist that Sullivan did not kill Tommy H. This is so well done, thank you for making it. I knew exactly who you were talking about from memory. It was such a small piece of the rapture story too.

    • @kieranadamson3224
      @kieranadamson3224 Год назад +6

      Yeah, it fits really well because this alteration doesn't actually mess with any storytelling. Fontaine would absolutely kill Timmy in such a horrific way meanwhile Sullivan tried his damnedest to have principles while still loyal to Ryan. Meanwhile Sullivan due to his principles would absolutely be haunted by the fact he seemingly regularly did stuff like this right from the beginning of Rapture. And eventually it got too much and he took himself out of the game.

I know this is near fontaines fisheries so it has a different atmosphere to the rest of Rapture, but i never saw the rest of Rapture being an overly bright happy futuristic curvy city we see in Burial At Sea. I always imagined it always being a dark/noir even before the downfall. Rapture uses the same technology as the surface but slightly enhanced. Like the thinker. It's a giant computer that's made of 40s/50s technology. Makes it believable. I'm glad you stayed true to the setting. Using a real old style radio instead of some futuristic fancy radio that Burial At Sea would have done.

    Amazing work, on any level ! It's great to see people still liking BioShock after all these years. Now, we know what really happened to Timmy H. and it's very impressive. The appearance of Fontaine was a real good surprise for me, because I didn't expect him to show his face in this film. Anyway, it was fantastic !

    As someone who loves Bioshock and just replayed all three games in less than 10 days, Including the dlcs, this was amazingly needed. I already missed it and the way this was conveyed helped. Simply great work! ESP when I heard “… Fountain can do double”. Man I saw the whole room where we found Timmy all over again. So good!
