This is from around 2008, a lot of shows were just blanket applying auto tune to anyone singing on them back then. For some reason it seems the sound guys of yesteryear seemed to think it was a magic box that could only improve a vocal. And not just live either, Christ even some of Amy Winehouse’s studio vocals suffered the same fate. Shame, it ends up really garbling a vocal like this. I’d like to think that producers have just got a lot less overzealous with real-time pitch correction, but it’s probably also that the technology’s got a lot better over the last decade and so it doesn’t jump out as much
