- So, where was W'Kabi? The character's absence from "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" had more to do with the busy schedule of the actor playing him than the character himself, it seems.

How do you think W'Kabi will be reintroduced into the story?
I'm seeing the film on Saturday so I can't be sure! But! I'm sure something will happen with his wife, we'll see an aspect of how he reaffirms his fidelity to Wakanda beyond political ideals. Like all good marriages his wife will lead him back to himself and he will show his outstanding ability on the battlefield. If this happens please understand, I'm an armchair writer of TV and film! I make rather accurate predictions!
Or! They can bring him down some stupid man baby route where he demands his wife submits to his stupid ideas and ends up even further down a bad path, alone, at the end of her spear again.
He'll be back. It was appropriately left open for him to come back. Possibly rehabilitated and reconnected with Okoye
Wife not lover!!(Looper)
SPOILERS: Probably end up in Haiti training Prince T’Challa
Escape from a Wakandan prison and goes into self exile while trying to smuggle vibranium weapons to African countries. He will finish carrying out Killmongers vision of liberating blacks across the world
"Would you kill me my love?" "For Wakanda? WITHOUT QUESTION!" That line hit so hard

W'kabi's absence in Wakanda Forever makes sense considering his actions in the first movie that he sided with Killmonger. I hope he returns either on the third movie or in the Wakanda Disney+ series.

W’Kabi & Okoye weren’t “lovers,” they’re spouses! The nuance matters the same as if she’d been called his “baby mama” rather than “wife.”
Exactly!
Don't you know that "healthy black relationships" is forbidden in white media!
🙄
Exactly 💯 percent agree the nuances matter! She is his wife!
….. lol the fact you really care so much about this.
Ok can we all agree the Namor descending onto the throne scene was WAY more badass than expected? Literal chills…

It was awesome, I really loved their character design, like Namora wearing lionfish fins/spines as feathers.
I'm sure he's going for more leading roles these days. I don't blame him
No, he was banished from wakanda into the bushes. He'll be back
@@401Orishas Lmao, that's just what they told you because he didn't have time to do it. He literally chose to be the leading man in another film instead
The way Chadwick put on weight while sick; Herculean. Heroic. Dedicated.
?? Weird spin. It's well known he wasn't anywhere near as ill (at that filming point) so was able to *maintain* a solid weight.
@@beejj6190 he was diagnosed at that point. He would have found it difficult to eat and keep his normal weight. Most actors are much smaller in their downtime so to film he'd have to bulk up. Also he may have had symptoms or been receiving treatment. Either way, cancer doesn't play. He may not have been AS ill, but he was ill.
@@DeborahWalkerXOXO - The point i've made is very clear : 1) I didn't say he wasn't ill (so don't 'straw - man' me with YOUR words ; ). 2) I said he was 100% NOT ill enough to lose weight. This is cap... I just can't believe these "scheduling conflicts" when there are many other actors who are prominently featured in two movies that come out in the same time period.
For example, Johnathan Majors is the Kang in the Marvel universe while also coming out in Creed 3 where he had to train as a fighter, while also starring in the movie Devotion as pilot. Scheduling is a cop out IMO...

I figured his character is in prison, so I wasn’t expecting him to show up.
I think W'kabi will return to lead the Border Tribe again. He will mourn T'challa's death in his own way and redeem himself to Okoye, to his family, and to the rest of Wakanda.
RIP Chadwick the king 👑
Honestly, I didn’t even realize that he wasn’t in the movie until this video
I get that wakanda is all about secrecy but I think it’s meesed up that none of the avengers attended Tchalla’s funeral.
This seems more like a real world decision to me. BUT I think it would've taken us out of the moment. It's meant to be a time for grieving where seeing Bucky or War Machine would just take you out of the moment and not fit as well.
i saw someone explain this, in the timetable tony, wanda, cap, vision are dead. hulk is always in hiding, thor is off around the universe, no one knows spiderman. he didnt know stranger really or Antman who are both in different universe and doing the most all the time.
only bucky and falcon was eligible to really go, but they both caused some issues with wakanda in the show so there might be conflict
The Avengers are Tchalla's "co-workers" and Wakanda is "closed" to colonizers.
its not like they were sending out funeral invites to strangers because at the end of the day the avengers are strangers to Wakanda
@@KKarama1 agreed. And if we go based on what they've said in the movies. Most of them have only interacted with Black Panther while they're fighting
I loved their story. I hope he can return.
Would be good to see him return possibly as a villain again. Hope they can make it work
I think it would be interesting to see him side with Namor in some future IP. I have a feeling Namor will have nothing to do with the Kang Dynasty movies.
Spoiler - he was filming nope 😉
Umm no. He was banished after betraying wakanda
Damn, I had to put my twitter on private cause it is a mess but thanks for crediting me! I really appreciate it. Great vid!
Daniels acting skills are way above a marvel support character, Nope was great, hope he goes far.
Instead of speaking ill of Wakanda Forever and the obvious agenda being promoted I will relish in the fact that the original Black Panther is ours and they CANNOT take it back. Thank you Stan Lee. Thank You Chadwick Bozeman. RIP. T'Challa Never Dies
Yeah, he's an actor in crazy high demand, I figured he just had other obligations.
Here’s the thing I’m wondering, while it totally seems like a fair and reasonable response to say there was a scheduling conflict, given the significance of Black Panther and the fact that they all lost their main cast member and friend, did he consider or try to ask either director about maybe working out a schedule so he could still shoot some scenes in the movie?? 🧐🤷🏽♀️
I know his character wasn’t that prevalent, and I don’t know they would have used his character, but given the importance of Black Panther and the loss of Chadwick and for continuity of the story, I would have tried to film both and maybe shot a few scenes and flown back to continue filming with Jordan on Nope. That’s just my take, but I don’t know if that was ever considered.
But it would just be the same situation. I like that the character is used as a reminder of the consequences of the first movie. Otherwise what was basically a brief civil war wouldn't have mattered
@@trevorglodowski4887he wasn’t in the wrong, Shuri and the royal guard and T’Challas mother were the rebel force.
He was following his kings commands.
If anything he should’ve been brought back and became BP. Wakanda is now known to the world. Not closing up that bottle. So his journey could’ve been one to try and understand the world outside of Wakanda. Why T’Challa was against Killmongers plan and why he decided to compromise. Etc a story not of redemption but if understanding and stoicism. Showing that just because the rules don’t suit you doesn’t mean they should be ignored.
N'Jadaka did not stage a coup, or mutiny or any hostile takeover. He gave a challenge, and it was accepted by the then King who lost that challenge and lost his position. Okoye was well within her right to honor her duties as her husband Wkabi as well. To paint it as if Killmonger just took over is disingenuous to the story. He followed tradition to get to his position. after that he was well within his right as King to carry out whatever task he wanted. I see why Disney couldn't keep him alive. too much militant intelligence. always have to paint him as evil when he wasn't.
killmonger didnt even win according to tradition. t'challa didnt yield and he also didnt die
Exactly, To Lock Him Up For Treason While Okoye & Nakia Literally Organized A Coup Against The Current King Killmonger Is Beyond A Reach In Storytelling.
@@BalorShield False. Plus, T'Challa Didn't Die Because He Had Outside Assistance To Survive, Plus The Plant Serum. Dora Milaje Staged The Coup.
C'mon. To keep him "alive" they preserved him in ice and gave him the herb. He lost. He wasn't in the right mind set to take on Eric.
@@BalorShield he would have died if not for interference
He wasn’t truely evil he just felt like wakanda should share with the world their technological advances
Less sharing and more liberation of black people globally from poverty or oppression. The outside first worlds are advanced enough to handle modern life. Anymore advancement would probably destroy the planet because of the never ending pursuit of a bigger gun.
I think it was scheduling that kept him from being in film
W'Kabi would make a great villain in BP3
No. That's just another black male leader that they'd end up killing. He never should've been kicked out story wise. They should just work him back into the story as an ally.
@@J-Hue there needs to be consequences and conflict. If everyone is just friends again then someone can kill someone's parent and nothing would happen...? Oh wait that happened
Love this actor. Good bro stay cool stay you
Ideas if W'Kabi returns. He reflects on his bad decisions, regrets it all. By the time of middle or starting of the end, has a near death experience and reconciles his friendship with T'Challa and Romonda. We can't c T'Challa unless its cgi, but maybe a shadowy figure in his likeness walking up to W'Kabi in the Ancestral Plane. Wakes up and tells everyone, with proof of words only the dead and living like Shuri and Nakia would know.
nah I disagree. It would be too artificial if he went "sorry guys! anyway..." and took on his original role like nothing happened
He didn't really do anything wrong. T'Challa broke his promise to W'Kabi and violated the traditions of Wakanda by not killing Klaw. Killmonger did and appeared to win the duel, making him king. If W'Kabi hadn't followed the what looked like the king, he'd have been violating the laws too.
If they weren't gonna follow the rules and kill any of the people who trespassed on Wakandan soil and killed their king, queen, or W'Kabi's father, and even housed a known assassin with Bucky, then they should've let him stay.
@@J-Hueexactly! Okai or however yo spell that bitch characters name and tchallas mom were traitors to wakanda when they led a coup against killmonger

2:48 that smile 😍😍😍
I don’t think he should’ve been banished. He was just following the new king of wakanda. He’s supposed to, it’d be treason to just follow t’challa instead of the new king just bc they were friends. It’s hypocritical when t’challa says everything is for wakanda yet bends the rules when it benefits his close friends.

I wish Looper could dedicate a video to explaining why Shotgun Mary did not return to Warrior Nun! 😢
His character was exiled from wakanda so it makes sense
I really thought in some strange way, I thought Wakabi was gonna turn into the villan Rhyno in the spiderverse.
Kill Monger didn't issue a coup. It was his blood right and he won fair and square. TChalla just didn't give him the finishing blows to secure the victory because he was soft. Okoye was right, she serves the thrown and doesn't play favorites. So the fact that the Queen held a grudge against her for doing her job was actually pretty low for her character.
Would you rather be a main character in a movie or a supporting character? Lol y’all trippin if he should’ve been in wf
After how Embaaku was treated I'm glad he didn't show.
0:50 what's did you say her name is?
Needs to be written back in for Black Panther 3.
I would like to see Daniel Kaluuya's character pay his respect T'Challa by traveling to Haiti and mentoring T'Challa's son. And when T'Challa jr becomes King, he can reestablish his role as border protector.
Killmonger didn't stage a coup, tchalla did. Killmonger won the challenge and was given the heart shaped herb and throne because he had rightfully earned it, and he gave the wakandans the head of one of their greatest enemies, who had specifically been responsible for many wakandan deaths and had alluded the black panther for years. It's just because we view tchalla as the hero and killmongers actions as morally wrong that we side with the former. In reality the doras went against their king and are all traitors.
Sorry. But this is probably false. The rules of the battle for the throne require participants to either yield or die. T'Challa never yielded, and Killmonger assumed him dead when throwing him off the cliff. When T'Challa makes his re-appearance he clearly says "As you can see, I am not dead". This is an indication that Killmonger's claim to the throne is still not confirmed. And up until seeing T'Challa alive and challenging Killmonger to finish the fight, most of those in Wakanda were, in fact, following Killmonger's orders despite disagreeing with them. Please rewatch the movie.
@@stormsavant Basically T'Challa killed this whole argument with those 13 words.
How he gonna win a challange if T’ Challa didn’t die or never yielded👀👀
@@stormsavant do the rules of battle allow for a fisherman from the Jabari tribe to pull you out of a river and make sure you don't drown, then the Jabaris keep you alive barely until your family can give you the heart shaped herb which heals your injuries? 😂 It was one of the coolest scenes in the mcu when tchalla returned and gave the famous quote and I love it. Doesnt mean the challenge was still going, was just a sick way to reintroduce the black panther.
@@KenpoKid77 what about the Jabari saving tchalla when the rules are that nobody can interfere? I loved the scene too, and the epicness made us overlook everything else, still doesn't mean that tchalla didn't break the rules of ritual combat.

Shuri wasn't kidnapped. She pleaded with them to take her to Namor, essentially distracting them before they killed everyone.
