@Publix777 they invented it, they put the research in, and they patented it. So good luck to them selling it. Why should other people be able to come along and steal their design, that's not fair really is it.

To those who complain about the price - it is very difficult to manufacture on a small scale at a low cost. The only way to make this cheaper is to take a huge risk and to take a risk on a big production run in China. Personally I think I'd have one if I had the money. A very good product with definite uses. No quibbles about the price as it is what it is.

This is my opinions. It's fine to mount a 100 inch screen TV, that's because is stationary. There's no constants daily heavy pressing.
The wood that are mounted on are 2X4 only. Even if mounted on 2-3 pieces. eventually it will crack and breaks and take down the whole wall. You are talking about daily human pressure, pressing averaging 140 - 250 lb. Especially not good for apartments rentals , save spacing for other furniture, etc. Also It will cost you major remodeling if it breaks, even if your own house. Contractors, etc.
The regular pull-up bars over the door types are the best. The way it's held on the door bean. I can even move it around. Bathroom Door, Bedroom Door, Kitchen Door, Patio Door, or neighbors/friends house.
Also it's too bulky just to carry to the parks for several pull-up, etc. You can also get arrest for mounting on the tree fir damaging public property ( gov, city, etc )

I dont see why it would bo so expensive, looks like its laser cut, folded and there is only a few welds. Possibly it needs some more optimization to bring down the production costs. Being stainless also raises the cost but I would prefer a stainless version any time.

The tree-huggers ain't gonna like this. ;) "Trees have feelings too!"
Seriously, it's quite clever but the indoor version of attaching the mounting plates to studs (and then leveraging those attachments) with weight applied at a distance vs relatively short screws would give me pause - safety wise.
