Grounded 1.4: Survival Mega Base built from ash. 1000 day world, complete walk-through.

- I have been looking forward to putting this video out for some time. This is a project that became near and dear to me.
I have had many friends and my kiddos help me with this.....it took so much farming. I see charcoal and feathers in my sleep. This project was started shortly after the update where the upper yard was added. Then I took a break from the game about the time the IBM came out, and I only recently got back on to beat her and finish the build.
This playthrough was done completely in an un-modded game where I was able to receive the achievement for the the Super Win.
Sadly what I thought was speaker trouble turned out to be a microphone problem so I do apologize for the shifting commentary.

Absolutely love it. What did you use for that circle ring at the bottom of the big chandelier?
Ooo you noticed. That was the trickiest piece to figure out. I needed a smaller circle for the 3 tiers, and after lots of attempts I ended up using the Buoyant Foundation.
Amazing base ! Showed it to some friends it motivated them to jump back in with me on a new game on the ps5 just one question do you have a rough idea of how much time it rook you ?
Thank, you very much! And I am glad that I was able to help you get your friends back into the game too! The build time wasn't that long, for this build it was all the materials that took the time. The charcoal and crow feathers specifically.

@@protocore4034 In real time its tough to tell, but in game, I would expect around 500 days give or take. That world was at 1000 days when that video was made, and that is the second large base.
Oh man, you're gonna get tired of hearing from me lol I'll try not to overwhelm your notifications. This build is one of the coolest things I've seen done in this game. At what point in the game did you start building this? Did it start as a small base that you added to over time? Or did you start with the mega base in mind? Oh and don't even worry about the mic problems. Happens to the best 😄
Thank you very much for all the compliments. I was pretty far into the game before I decided to do this build. I didn't realize the potential the game had until I built a pond base.

@@osamahitler6127 I wish I could post a picture here now but I'll try my best to explain it. If I am understanding you correctly, at the top of the wall I build a full flat panel coming out (I used stem floors). From there I place the roof piece on top and a half wall on the outer edge furthest from the wall to create the lip.

Great base dude very impressive ! I'm curious to know if the two green stink bugs ever respwaned where your base is positioned, I've wanted to build there but was afraid that would happen
Thank you. I have another video that goes into detail and shows how I captured the Green Shield bugs, it was pretty tricky and requires going into NG+.
