Man, I miss the magnifying glass and old stump. Felt like a true adventure to go there. At least we got the magnifying glass at the oak tree for an update or two.
I've been playing, on and off, since July 2020 when the game was released in Early Access... even before the Hedge lab existed and before mutations were added! Was still fun and interseting back then, but you can see how far the game has come. I remember the first Burgle chips being added, one of which was in the paint spill.. that got moved. The beehive you mentioned was originally hanging from the picnic table when that was first added.. but got moved up into the oak Tree. As new updates were released, the "Caution tape" you showed moved around the yard. Many thanks for the nostalgia trip!
I remember playing this with my freinds 4 years ago. I remember one of the things we did was made a base at the baseball and a base at the pond. I started playing again last year and it was so fun exploring the map noticing all of the things that changed. I was so excited.
It's so nice to look back at this version man.. I first thought i played on this version but i didn't. I remember that the grill was actually next to the pond up the stone wall, and right next to it there was lots of "Under construction" tape and just a little bit of grass behind. I remember building up there for like an hour with a friend. Good old times... But i was surprised how different some things like the haze lab looked. And in didn't even knew that there was a stump between the sandbox and picnic table! Thanks for showing this off!
Still remember my first time playing Grounded. It was October/November of 2022 Was tired of the battle royal games and wnated something different. This game did it SO well
Crazy i started playing when finding burg.l was just the only story and the mint mallet was the strongest weapon and the best armor was the ladybug and at the start had an yard mite eating an gnat
played this game a while while back in i think may 2020 ish during lockdown and the nostalgia watching this is crazy. but idk how to explain it the old version has this golden sunlight tinge to it that i really like compared to the newest version of grounded where it looks more dull. but im pretty sure this is just graphic settings and also the time of day in grounded that’s changing this.
Removing the puzzle and the taz.ts in the oak lab was a downgrade ;( I really liked the puzzle, it added more charm to the game. It also made sense that the puzzles were simple as bugs couldn't get in. (captcha but for bugs)
I am really looking forward to playing this game on PS5 when it releases in a couple days. I had it on XBox 1 but the console got messed up and I had to do without playing this, Crossout, and State of Decay 2. At least I get to play this one again. Preordering it was a no-brainer. Thank you for your video showing what had changed because I only played the "old" version lol.
If I am right in early grounded there was like a round leaf base and there was a wolf spider in it the trick was to get a perfect spot on top of the leaf base and shoot like 50-60 arrows to kill the wolf spider
Honey I shrunk the kids inspired survival game.. I love this game so much and am currently playin the latest version after playin almost from release. Addictive and challenging with a ton of fun
My friend and I have been playing for almost 100hrs since the game recently released on PS5. Watching this video makes me wonder what the hell you would do in the game before?! 😁😂 it seems like the map was so small back then.
Man i was there before the pond update 😅 but since all the new upgrades i really got back into the game. (After getting to the java i kinda lost the touch and stopped the game because finishing it would feel me meh) But now i am totally rocking the game again. Enjoying everything more than i did. (Still grinding and gathering for ng+) Just for the cause
This video was a little confusing to be honest. As the operator of the camera you know what you are looking for when panning. When you are not operating it you dont. So when you pan around as rapidly as you do, you confuse the viewer. You should use more slow panning and more still shots so the viewer has time to adjust to what they are seeing. Also often times i didnt know if it was the old map or the new i was looking at. A little note at the bottom would fix that. Very nice to see some of the old map again but im disapointed you didnt look at the skeleton in the wolf spider cave.
I really whish we could get the inside house DLC, Id pay for that no question. Imagine something like Toy Story style. PS: The card is a TCG called Flesh and Blood ,released in 2019, it has quite a unique gameplay compared to other TCGs !
No point in a grounded 2, they would just keep updating the current game, it’s like asking for a minecraft 2. In terms of the series they aren’t in control of it, it’s a separate company so I don’t think they know much
@@Paraly5er so you don’t think there will ever be a sequel to grounded then? If the older consoles are struggling to run it and they have the option to update to unreal engine 5 and have a new story instead of just adding more optional bosses
I could of sworn you couldn’t get in the hedge lab in the first version and I think there was no grass for most of/ all of the upper yard on the first version on xbox
@@Paraly5er I had a better idea so Woah mode but you turn the creature health scaling up maybe 5x or less That would be a crazy video maybe to end off the year?
4 years ago... and it still feels like yesterday when the ladybug mint mace combo was the best in the entire game
Ngl it still hit a lot, mint mace/Rollypolly armor is basically the same
Mint “mace”… i cannot belive this sacrilege to beta grounded, its the MINT MALLET
Crazy to see how far grounded has come over the years. Started out so simple. Too bad its not getting the atention it deserves
I agree
Me and my friends are Playstation players so we are going to play it when it drops for us in April!
@@thebuzzard4543 Grounded i so much more fun with friends. I hope you'll enjoy!
True but 20 million players is still very impressive. Probably more successful than the initially imagined

if you think about it, from the first release to now, its like we're watching people who just moved into their house furnish their yard

I remember back in the version getting flung to the upper yard from the collision glitch between bugs and grass.
Still a thing lol
still a thing even 4 months later lol just happened to me yesterday
the tully family REALLY made a mess of their yard
The rest of the family is gone with Wendell alone for a while, I’ve always assumed the state of the yard is from his neglecting it when it’s just him.
Man, I miss the magnifying glass and old stump. Felt like a true adventure to go there. At least we got the magnifying glass at the oak tree for an update or two.
The magnifying glass is now on the picnic table
The card is from the pillars of eternity from Obsidian.
Ahhhh makes sense

Man I remember when there was no hedge lab. But it felt like there was so much to do still
I don’t believe there was a Black Ant Hill either.
Correct
Duh
It's just crazy with these changes they did the game really well and fast
I remember playing this with my freinds 4 years ago. I remember one of the things we did was made a base at the baseball and a base at the pond. I started playing again last year and it was so fun exploring the map noticing all of the things that changed. I was so excited.
I swear this game has got me hooked started playing a month ago and I haven’t put it down since
Nice haha, it’s very addictive
I don’t think the Hedge Chip was out until 0.3.
You’re a legend for playing grounded beacause it was a while ago and I’m happy to know I’m not the only one that plays it
If your gonna do an OG playthrough, you should break out Boney, the 5th kid that everybody forgot about
TRUE omg, I gotta play as him
It brings back old memories 😢
What a trip down memory lane man.. I vividly remember playing these early versions. So many memories.
Love the grounded videos. Very interesting to see what has changed since the beginning!
Thanks, glad you liked it
i remember the wolf spider broodmother, it was always terrifying seeing it on the disc haha
Too bad i haven't played on this early version :(

The haze and hedge lab were not able to be entered in this version
Ohhhh really? Lmao so you couldn’t do much at all then
I wish they did something with the berry monster. Great as always, Para!
Yeah would have been cool but I think that ended up as the mant in a weird way
I remember playing with my friends, sleeping to see moldorc in the background. We were ecstatic
it’s changed a lot, I got the game like a year or year and a half ago. ❤😅

I just wanted to say keep it up your doing great as a youtuber. I know you'll make it
Thanks Jack!
I'm pretty certain "potato chef" is actually a crudely drawn depiction of the Moon Man character from Outer Worlds (another Obsidian game).
Crazy i started playing when finding burg.l was just the only story and the mint mallet was the strongest weapon and the best armor was the ladybug and at the start had an yard mite eating an gnat
It’s crazy to get that preview nostalgia

Yeah the lighting has changed a lot between versions, definitely something I also noticed
Mad how after playing it for 4 years you start to forget what was in it from day 1, come a very long way 🎉❤
I think the erea where the moldorc castle is would be a amazing place for a base back then
so crazy how far this game has come in a couple of years
True, insanely hard work
now looking back at older versions of grounded it feels so empty
Damn.. I remember my older bro suggested this game like a week into the beta.. Crazy how much it's changed
So different it’s nuts
It's crazy how the teen selector only changed in the playground update (released this year)

lmaooooooo bro said a captcha for bugs
I remember old grounded with friends was the best because you did not know what to do and it was before the game fully released
I remember playing with my friend in early access when the game had next to nothing, now im doing a single player with all the new content
The hedge lab from what i remember, doesnt have a chip. The lever i think had something to do with sending power to probably the oak lab.
love your content💪🏻😀
keep it up
There used to be wolf spider patrol in the abandoned ant hill
This video is perfect for me. I literally have not played since 2020. 😂
I remember building a base in the OG upperyard
Nice
I am not sure but I think the levers activate the power for the lasers.

i remember all the updates i was a beta player of this game
Thank you! Great video! Devs addes so much
i remember those days, the good ol' days (:

Yup, rip
Remember when we wanted to get the antlion greatsword?
I was there Day 1. I sometimes miss it. lol But what a game it has become.

i definitly prefer the old map ui it was more cleaner and easier to read because its not all 8bit pixelated
Is that a “pot of greed” reference "? 😂
Not intentionally lmao
Bro it is crazy I played that version and built my base in the sand box and it got deleted.

Bulky for fire ant imo
