A fun little detail I noticed in Saitama vs Popeye was that, if you go to 19:29 (aka the year Popeye debuted), you see Popeye hold Eggtama above him, victorious, singing his iconic end tune. Probably just a coincidence, but I love that little detail.
A year and a half has led to this. Phenomenal job, Carrick! The amount of charm and effort put into this oozes into every second, and it shows through you and Flip's performances and writing. See you in Season 9! (Maybe in a way your viewers won't expect...)

Macho Man vs Kool-Aid Man absolutely broke my heart. I was SO HYPED for it when it was announced in June of last year, I LOVE these weird characters getting on the show, and what I ended up getting was just... Boomstick's Dad the Episode. And it sucks, because when they are actually fighting, it's really, really good. Well, here's hoping the cereal mascot royale happens one day and gives me the really amazing joke episode I crave...
tbh this season was special for me for two reasons one i was following the show even since season 4 ended and season 5 started, there's some such memoreis and laught me and my whole family had watching these series and even thou not every fight was a 10/10 most were or at least a 8/10 for me. the second was long beaultful it was seeing this eries grow and get better, i'm really glad i got into this show as i did. and as of now seeing and trying to interact witht the community. Your videos have allways put a smile to my face and inspired me to become a youtuber one day, the day you sned your rvb vid really helped and made me love this 10/10 even more and hearing someone who love rvb as much as i did magical and really fun. chears to the 10 years of bloodshed and battle and to the future of this series and whenever this series does ned i know i've had some good momnets to look back on. great vid man.
Man season 8 was such a breath of fresh air and a great anniversary season overall. Analysis are solid, the matchups are refreshing and these are probably some of the best fights in the series.

If I had a nickel everytime I knew a Death Battle content creator listened to rap battles that aren't just ERB, I'd have 2 nickels. It isn't much, but damn, hearing Untitled Goose Game vs The Duck Song briefly surprised the hell outta me lmao
1. The Predator couldn’t see the lightsaber because of the fire since his thermal eyes can see heat signatures which is hard because of the fire he’s surrounded with thanks to bobas flamethrower. 2. We can see in a shot where jinx's mini gun is in the hall of mirrors so when she was having her hallucinations moment when she was sprayed with the joker venom, she went into the same corner where the mini gun was and picked it up
20:35 if you want to see an amazing show with Anthony Sardinha and Elsie Lovelock (Jinx's Death Battle VA) then watch Meta Runner (sorry for advertising but I love this show so much and need to spread the word, I can't help it) Anyway... Carrick: Delsin getting in before cole is stupid as fuck. Also Carrick: sailor galaxia is getting in before sailor moon from “SAILOR MOON” was a great choice. Me: I haven’t play any infamous game. But what saying is cole McGrath is more iconic than sailor moon.
Cole is a special case because his matchup with Alex is so iconic that it'd be weird to not do that first. Meanwhile Sailor Moon could fight just about anybody at this point and still seems to have an ongoing story.
Okay good point, but you know what else is an extremely iconic rivalry: Naruto vs ichigo, but they did Gaara vs to oh instead despite being one of the most popular rivalry in fiction let alone anime, as opposed to Cole vs Alex where yeah it’s popular not on that level. Hell I didn’t even know what infamous even was until caddicarus’s PlayStation all star video and prototype until nemesis’s season 8 predictions. really something i can't forgive with madora vs aizen is that they just straight up lied about aizen not having the hogyuku. its infuriating. he has the hogyuku, i don't understand why they said he didn't.
34:03 Not even in the slightest. Forget Storra being arguably the biggest stomp in the series; it's hardly even a match-up. They have 2 mediocre connections at best, and absolutely zero substance to work with to make a solid fight, and this animation shows it. No one's denying how toxic the comment section for Korrey would've been, but that's just normal for VS. They'll woefully go through with feeding DBZ characters to Marvel/DC heralds and Silver the McFucking Hedgehog, Ruby vs Maka is inevitable, and Master Chief is bound to make a return at some point (have you seen Halo discourse as of late?), so I gotta ask: just where are we drawing the line with potential toxic fan reactions?? Cuz outside of that, Rey was the ideal opponent for Korra, no contest. From themes, to overall potential, all the way down to even the debate, everything was in place for a total work of art, regardless of how one may feel about the SW sequels.

Unfortunately, Death battle doesnt agree with the most common firm of Bleach scaling. So While Aizen should win(I agree with your opinion), Death battle isnt exactly wrong based on their own research
Blake vs Mikasa remains the episode that I have the most complicated relationship with. I make it no secret that Blake is my favorite RWBY girl despite the hate she gets, and the episode came out on my birthday so to have Blake win the fight was honestly the best birthday gift I could've asked for. But that's where the issues begin to arise. Despite Blake's victory though, the episode itself isn't exactly what I would call good. I've gone over this episode over and over again, so to avoid too much repetition I'll keep it short. The low frame rate animation was a dumb decision and should not have been used and was inconsistent, the dialogue is cringe, the decision to not bring in Arryn Zech to record new lines was a really odd choice for them to make since they had no problems bringing in the other voice actresses, Blake was incredibly out of character throughout the episode, the reason for why the two were fighting was poorly explained and just makes Blake look like a worse person than she actually is, Blake happily taking on a titan despite missing an arm and running out of aura was very odd, and Boomstick's jokes really wore thin in this episode. Also constantly calling Blake “Bland” hurts me allot and it tore my heart in half every time you said it. Even as someone who doesn’t like RWBY as much anymore, this hurts me allot and I’m leaving a dislike in the video just for that.
I have a burning, undying hatred for RWBY, so the fact that their best episode, Weiss vs Mitsuru, is just sort of okay is kind of hilarious to me. Doubly so because the only okay episode the franchise has is the one where the RWBY character dies. Seriously though, RWBY Chibi is a much better show

If I had a nickel everytime I knew a Death Battle content creator listened to rap battles that aren't just ERB, I'd have 2 nickels. It isn't much, but damn, hearing Untitled Goose Game vs The Duck Song briefly surprised the hell outta me lmao
1. The Predator couldn’t see the lightsaber because of the fire since his thermal eyes can see heat signatures which is hard because of the fire he’s surrounded with thanks to bobas flamethrower.
2. We can see in a shot where jinx's mini gun is in the hall of mirrors so when she was having her hallucinations moment when she was sprayed with the joker venom, she went into the same corner where the mini gun was and picked it up
20:35 if you want to see an amazing show with Anthony Sardinha and Elsie Lovelock (Jinx's Death Battle VA) then watch Meta Runner (sorry for advertising but I love this show so much and need to spread the word, I can't help it)
Anyway... Fantastic Video. The wait was worth it, and Season 9 looks like it will keep a similar level of quality, so DB are taking steps in the right direction :)

Forget Storra being arguably the biggest stomp in the series; it's hardly even a match-up. They have 2 mediocre connections at best, and absolutely zero substance to work with to make a solid fight, and this animation shows it. No one's denying how toxic the comment section for Korrey would've been, but that's just normal for VS. They'll woefully go through with feeding DBZ characters to Marvel/DC heralds and Silver the McFucking Hedgehog, Ruby vs Maka is inevitable, and Master Chief is bound to make a return at some point (have you seen Halo discourse as of late?), so I gotta ask: just where are we drawing the line with potential toxic fan reactions??
Cuz outside of that, Rey was the ideal opponent for Korra, no contest. From themes, to overall potential, all the way down to even the debate, everything was in place for a total work of art, regardless of how one may feel about the SW sequels.

Blake vs Mikasa remains the episode that I have the most complicated relationship with. I make it no secret that Blake is my favorite RWBY girl despite the hate she gets, and the episode came out on my birthday so to have Blake win the fight was honestly the best birthday gift I could've asked for. But that's where the issues begin to arise. Despite Blake's victory though, the episode itself isn't exactly what I would call good. I've gone over this episode over and over again, so to avoid too much repetition I'll keep it short. The low frame rate animation was a dumb decision and should not have been used and was inconsistent, the dialogue is cringe, the decision to not bring in Arryn Zech to record new lines was a really odd choice for them to make since they had no problems bringing in the other voice actresses, Blake was incredibly out of character throughout the episode, the reason for why the two were fighting was poorly explained and just makes Blake look like a worse person than she actually is, Blake happily taking on a titan despite missing an arm and running out of aura was very odd, and Boomstick's jokes really wore thin in this episode.
Also constantly calling Blake “Bland” hurts me allot and it tore my heart in half every time you said it. Even as someone who doesn’t like RWBY as much anymore, this hurts me allot and I’m leaving a dislike in the video just for that.
I have a burning, undying hatred for RWBY, so the fact that their best episode, Weiss vs Mitsuru, is just sort of okay is kind of hilarious to me. Doubly so because the only okay episode the franchise has is the one where the RWBY character dies.
Seriously though, RWBY Chibi is a much better show
