It must be so satisfying to complete these project/restorations. Great video fella - used to have one of these guys when I was not-so-little... And great to see the leftovers being used to produce another member of Team Toy Polloi! Many thanks for sharing. Be safe. :)
Great video. The boots and gloves on this figure where originally in a Kenner Six million Dollar Man Outfit set "Mission to Mars". Always interesting to see how Palatoy re-used existing molds.
That was a fun watch, excellent job on the space ranger talking commander, I recently picked up the adventure team talking commander myself, its a figure I've wanted for a while.
I didn't realize how man versions of this guy there are. It'd be cool if you showed a pic of the figure you are restoring with the final product. but regardless, you are always interesting to watch! Love your stuff!
I recently purchased a prototype Space Ranger Commando tabard so i'm putting another 1 of those together, i'll probably upload a video of it when its done! I really liked the replacement armband Dave, Looks great! BTW, it might be possible to heat the hip to torso connector, heat the rod the ring is on with a lighter and push the ring down to shorten the rod, ive only ever done this with it being detached from the legs and its been successful but would certainly be tricky with the pants in the way, some heat shielding would certainly be needed & a bbq lighter would be better than your everyday lighter. .
Hot Soapy water and a toothbrush. You'll see me clean toys like this in most of my videos. I've not dyed the boots before, but have used Rit dye on star wars figures. Check out my video on Max Rebo. Cheers
Nice tutorial as always. I have a question for u, do have some vintage marvel figures and are we gonna see some future restorations with them? that would be really really cool to see
I like your videos a lot, thanks for making them. The gloves and boots which are part of this costume look like exactly the same ones that Kenner produced for the Six Million Dollar Man Bionic Adventure Mission To Mars set from 1976. I recognised them straight away as I am currently working on a Mission to Mars set. I believe this figure was produced some time after that so is it possible that Palitoy some how got hold of a set of moulds for these from Kenner? Also do you know if there are any differences tween these and the SMDM gloves and boots just for reference really?
Hey Dave. I've got a bit of a problem. I've got a late G1 Transformer that's got a broken screw stalk that holds on the arm. I've tried superglue and epoxy but nothing's working. Any tips on how to repair it? I know it's a long shot but I was hoping you could help.
Question/observation: Aren't the space boots and gloves from the Six Million Dollar Man? I had one and sold it about a year ago, so unfortunately I don't have it for comparison. Were they used in both lines?
Wedge9986 yes they are in both lines, they also come in black and grey for other Space Ranger outfits, you check them out in my Space Ranger video if you like! There is also an Action Man internationals version of the Space Ranger that uses the 6 Million Dollar Man Space Helmet.
That's interesting. I thought Six Million Dollar Man was produced by Kenner and GI Joe (Action Man) was by Hasbro (Palitoy). Interesting that they shared accessories. Thanks for your reply.
I already have. Check out some of my older action man restoration videos. There is a link to a playlist that contains all of them that pops up during this video. Cheers
"I have a bag of heads"....thanks, now I have my quote of the week :-)
The nostalgia is strong with this one... had him when I was younger and I still miss him today...
I'm so addicted to these videos and I don't even collect a action man...Awesome Video.
Thanks. They are fascinating toys. And well worth collecting.
Always a joy to watch great job!
Very nice Dave 👍
Yet another fantastic and highly enjoyable video. Thank you for taking the time to share with us 👍
This figure only came with the eagle eyes head. The head I used is eagle eyed.
Dave you are a sheer genius at fixing toy action figures and vehicles and playsets, i salute you sir, cheers 👏
Thank you. I hate to see a toy in pieces. Gives me a challenge!
Toy Polloi 👍
That's a very cool looking action man, very nice figure too.

Great restration best one yet he looks so cool
Love the videos they helped me with some of my restorations
Mesmerizing.
Great video. The boots and gloves on this figure where originally in a Kenner Six million Dollar Man Outfit set "Mission to Mars". Always interesting to see how Palatoy re-used existing molds.
Fabulous finished result 😎😎😎
Victor would be proud.
nice the finished figure looks awesome
You are absolutely amazing at what you do. Cheers from Georgia (USA).
That was a fun watch, excellent job on the space ranger talking commander, I recently picked up the adventure team talking commander myself, its a figure I've wanted for a while.
We'll be seeing a review of that in the near future i hope!?

Great video 👍
LOVE IT ,THANKS FOR THIS INFO!❤
Tus videos siempre me hacen sentir muy bien amigo, excelente restauración saludos desde Ciudad de México, Mexico! 😎✌️
Thanks!
Always love your videos! Is it possible to use an eagle eyes head with the talking version? That would be pretty cool variation.

Amazing Photoshop skills, my man.
Thanks. More photoshop to come in some future videos. A lot of people has asked to see more photo shopping.
Toy Polloi Looking forward to it 😁
Great job again!
Genious!
Wow what would you suggest to clean the boots and gloves. Also if you wanted to colour said items could you ?. Like white to black or grey ?.
Hot Soapy water and a toothbrush. You'll see me clean toys like this in most of my videos. I've not dyed the boots before, but have used Rit dye on star wars figures. Check out my video on Max Rebo. Cheers
Toy Polloi Sadly a bit to stained for regular cleaning I tried. Not used zit ointment yet but might try. I might the Max Repo technique.
I think the undersuit was light blue (same as the captains rubber one) not dark and i dont recall it having a stripe
This is the correct suit for this outfit. Cheers
I see the guy at the end had a talking part in the 'Disco Action Men Advert'

Nice tutorial as always. I have a question for u, do have some vintage marvel figures and are we gonna see some future restorations with them? that would be really really cool to see
I am currently collecting Kenner Super powers figures for some future videos. So close, but not Marvel.
Toy Polloi are u going to collect vintage marvel figures in the future?
I like your videos a lot, thanks for making them. Palitoy used a few parts from the SMDM, check out my Action Man Solar Hurricane videos. You may recognise that as well. Cheers
@@toypolloi Ah yes I had forgotten that video, I suppose Palitoy acquired access to the Kenner stuff through their acquisition of Denys Fisher Toys.
I don't remember that blue jumpsuit but I did have the blue one piece rubber suit which took ages to put on.
You are thinking of the space captain.
where do you buy the heads I am considering getting into this hobby again and have a talking Joe thats really beat up
Heads turn up from time to time on eBay. Or ask in the Facebook groups dedicated to trading and selling Joe's and action Man.
Hey Dave. I've got a bit of a problem. I've got a late G1 Transformer that's got a broken screw stalk that holds on the arm. I've tried superglue and epoxy but nothing's working. Any tips on how to repair it? I know it's a long shot but I was hoping you could help.
Send me some images of what you mean to my Facebook page and I will see if I can think of a way to fix it.
Alright, if this current repair attempt fails I'll see what I can do.
I’m I right in thinking the Space Ranger I owned had a lighting blue rubber suit!
That was the space captain. He came with the rubber outfit.
Toy Polloi Thanks mate I remember it was 1980 I got him
you can iron with a hot oven ????

Yep, as has been said, the same gloves/boots came with Steve Austin. I had him and them, but never had a talking Space Ranger.
That's interesting. I thought Six Million Dollar Man was produced by Kenner and GI Joe (Action Man) was by Hasbro (Palitoy). Interesting that they shared accessories. Thanks for your reply.
I really envy your Photoshop skills.
Years of practice. I'll be featuring a bit more in some upcoming videos as I am often asked about it.
2:31 Prepare to repel invaders
Dave can u make a video on how those voice things work I've always been intrigued
I already have. Check out some of my older action man restoration videos. There is a link to a playlist that contains all of them that pops up during this video. Cheers
Ah fantastic cheers, new to the channel probably binged watched about 4 hours last night haha
Keep it up :D I think I have covered a most of the common things people want to see now. 500 videos! You have a lot to catch up on.
We have the Lego we have the technology.we can rebuild him a good job Dave
Only you could make it seem normal to have a bag of heads. ;p
Ha ha! Perfectly normal in this house.
How do I get a Toy Polloi T shirt for my Action Man :)
I made these myself using iron on printer paper. The t-shirts cam from eBay.
