I had an Eagle Eye head for years and couldn't figure it out. I actually removed the Action Man head post that was stuck inside and replaced it with a regular neckpost. It's sitting on top of a brand new body and uniform. Keeping an eye out. Thank you so much for showing this. Well done...

Interesting method with the knotting the elastic and feeding it into the body, ive repaired around 200-300 Action Men myself so i already have my own technique perfected, a pair of nail scissors are really good for cutting the piece that is left in the body, cut it then pull it out with tweezers, i also use 3mm elastic but only 20cm for each figure and do 3 knots, if you've seen 1 of my latest upoads you'll know ive got around 30 to do in the next few weeks so i'll definitely give that knot through the neck method a try! ;-)

Working with the camera in front of you is challenging. Fun video. Like the knot trick to tread the elastic through the body. Glad your settled and ready to give us some more great Analog Video shows.

Wow, most helpful. I have two VAM and I was surprised when I took them out of their storage boxes that their heads were loose in the box. Sure wasn't that way when I stored them. I'll give your method a go to see if I can repair my troops as you did! Thanks!

Thank you so much for this video. I want to send my eldest son's old Action men, including Eagle Eye, to Oz, where he lives, and now has an 8 year son. Sadly, Eagle Eye had long parted from his head, due to actions of my younger sons. I ordered a neck post, but after getting the elastic in place, realised his head wouldn't click onto the new post, it seemed far too long. Eventually realised the old post was up inside his head! Managed to drag it out with very pointy pliers, with partner pulling his neck outwards, and me pulling vigorously. Used thicker elastic as I found when mask making, that the cord type stretches too easily. What a palaver this all was! It took me and partner alternating fighting Action Man, and his unwillingness to have his head back on. Once we finally managed to defeat the recalcitrant little man, I stood him up, and decided he looked stunned by the battle, so we gave him a few minutes to recover. He's fine now, and very happy with having his head back on, and is looking forward to his forthcoming trip to Oz :). I remember Dave Allen once describing all of Action Man's many capabilities, then finished up by exclaiming, that the one thing he couldn't do, was bl..dy dress himself! I'd add to that, he can't bl..dy mend himself either! :)

@@AnalogToys Thank you :). I'm now looking for a gripping right hand for one of the others, plus a right leg for a third, who has different legs/limbs, Although his knee bends a bit, you can't see any joints, his legs look more like skin, though his face looks like a proper action man, bit baffled by him? Poor thing may have to stay disabled. Younger son now tells me it happened when he parachuted out of his bedroom window, made a successful landing, but in too long grass, and had his leg amputated by the lawnmower shortly after...Handless man has not owned up as to what he trouble he got himself into

Thats a good trick with tiying the loop , tried it myself but as the elastic i had was thicker i made a loop then wrapped a small piece of gardening wire around the end .Worked like a charm an the head is very tight cause of the thicker elastic .

Great video and thanks for sharing. I have almost a full set of the Kung Fu Grip Adventure Team, just missing the black talking commander. I see that they now sell new muscle bodies so thinking maybe I will make a full muscle body adventure team one day.

Hi I may be asking a question someone else has already answered but how to get the neck post out of the head itself as isn’t this snapped into place?

Good video, I did a repair like yours except I used a piece thicker elastic to tie over on a Bullet man video I did a few weeks ago, feel free to check it out if you like. I now however have a new blue pants action man on the way that will need this very repair, thanks for the video.

Given that this Action Man is a Nazi, I'd say he lost his head a long time ago! Amirite? Amirite? This guy gets it. I'm here all night folks. What's the deal with the Intruders?...
