  • Erica Watson and colleagues find that genetic deficiency in folate metabolism in maternal grandparents affects development of their wild-type grandprogeny, even if the mothers are also wild-type.

    Thank you for this informative video on folate metabolism and mutations. So glad science had probed further to find these epigenetic effects on normal expression and development.

    Difficult for me (french) to understand but seems verry interessant!
    Can you tell me if this mutation can make problem in umbilical cord like a unique artery in this one?
    And a placenta who can't be delivered after the birth ?

    I tested compound het MTHFR. If one of my MTHFR genes is switched off, does that mean it wouldn't show up in my results?
