He was 91 years old at the time and it was remarkable he was able to travel to the UK at that age. He was such an inspiration to us all. Rest in peace, Mr. President.

ds care to explain to an uneducated idiot like me why you feel that Carter is responsible for today's clusterfuck? Last time I checked the neo cons and massive greed and profiteering post 2003 has played a significant role. Not to mention ancient religious schisms in the Middle East. But go ahead and believe what you will

The Middle East has been a source of bitter division for hundreds of years. Matt you are correct in your analysis. the USA stole millions of dollars of oil from Iraq and, along with the British, left it in a complete mess. Ditto Libya . Jimmy Carter is a man of peace and he did what he thought was the Christian way to go about trying for reconciliation .

I am just now seeing this, January 9, 2025 a few days after President Carter's death, age 100. I have always believed President and Mrs. Carter were extraordinary human beings, showing myself and the world exactly what having a relationship with the living God, the Creator, loving His Son, Jesus, the Savior, a Christian, truly looks like. I am proud to be an American, I am exceptionally fortunate to have been alive during President Carter's administration and a witness to Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter's life/legacy. I have seen 2 incredible people full of humility and role models to their family and the world we temporarily live in. May God continue to bless us through their family and legacy. ✝️🙏🕊️💟 🇺🇸 ❤️🤍💙

Carter appears extremely energetic and alert for his age, considering he is 92 in this video. I wonder if the reason for staying in such good shape for so long is that he always was content with himself and with what he had done + always was in a good spirit .

It was his faith in God and ultra clean life that made him stay healthy in God's Spirit..Being a peanut farmer never forgot his background and stayed rooted to his humble beginnings...unlike many of his predecessors and successors...no one comes close...No handling for power...His closeness to his rival Gerald Ford is legendary...

Mr Carter may be a man of peace, but see, what mess he did to the country of Iran, its people and its culture.
The country was progressing very effeciently under the late Shah, but this man came in and disturbed the whole equilibrium of a nation which was going up, but then in came the French, the Brits and the US and handed over to the illeterate Mullahs, who only believe in "Allah o Akber", blindly and ignorantly with stupid slogans of Death to America, British and French, the very people who handed the country on a platter, just to justify Carter's imagination fired up his zeal of presenting the nation a taste of democracy for which they were not ready then and even now. They have turned ungrateful to the late Shah and the US.
I am sad if I could only turn the clock back, I certainly would, but that is past the stage of redeeming the process.
The Western world have turned their backs and laughing at the Iranian nation. How very sad.

Carter did the very best he could. He was undermined from day one by the establishmentarian wings of his own party who detested that he had taken what they believed to be rightfully theirs, the presidency. Likewise, HW Bush, despite not being head of the CIA during Carter’s presidency, used all his previous institutional influence to sabotage all attempts to resolve the hostage crisis. It’s a well known fact that Reagan and Bush worked behind the back of Carter to delay the release of the hostages in Iran to deliberately besmirch Carter even as he worked desperately hard to get them home in his last hours as President. I’m a conservative and no big fan of Carter when it comes to his social liberalism, but I think anyone with any sense of fairness can say that he was a good man who tried his best against the establishment and sadly lost. Compared to all who succeeded him, bar Trump, he was the last President not to wed the US and it’s policies towards globalism.
