It’s the kind of sadness where you feel like dying but it’s not a frantic sensation the way that it is when you’re a teenager. It’s melancholy and tired. It’s been through so much fighting and knows it’s never going to end. The original version feels like they’re actively dying and are fighting for their lives- this one is an acceptance of taht sadness, accepting that the fight truly never ends. It’s sad and comforting. Bittersweet. This is the one I relate to.
