- Don't even care about the copyright strike I'll probably get, I just HAVE to show off this absolutely wonderful and really beautiful mod!! Crazy to think that such a cool mod was made in just 3 days, everyone on this team is incredibly damn talented! I love the art so much in this mod, the way only half of their faces are shown with their own individual expressions corresponding to the song is the coolest thing ever and it's really nice to look at! Especially with how it evolves over the course of the song, with BF looking worryingly at Miku half way through it and then confronting her, which brings back all the colors, it's such a pretty and creative concept that was super well executed!! Not to mention it's about one of my favorite Vocaloid songs ever! I absolutely adore Rolling Girl and this BF cover was genuinely perfect, sounded so damn good in every single way! I need more mods like this in my life, genuinely incredible experience! Hope you guys enjoy!

This channel consists of videos about modifications to a rhythmic video game (some of which I personally worked on) that range from slightly difficult to very hard for most players. Four arrows fly towards the screen forcing you to press them at the right time to the music. Hitting all the arrows in a song counts as a "Full Combo", which is very hard to do and takes a lot of time and practice to be able to do consistently and is the main gimmick of my channel, which I showcase in each video. I also include secrets and extra content that might’ve been undiscovered and show them off through instructional and entertaining ways that can be used as guides, as well as occasionally adding my own input on things happening in the video, all done through my creative editing style that focuses on being concise and transformative. In the descriptions I give my in-depth opinion on the video game as well as timestamps for each part of the video. I think this mod highlights one of my favorite things about Friday Night Funkin's mods specifically. The inclusion of Boyfriend into established ideas or concepts or songs or games changes a lot. Here, it changes the context of Rolling Girl completely. In Rolling Girl, Miku gives into her depressive thoughts. She doesn't want to give up, but it's too painful to keep rolling on as she puts it. She gives up on life. But in this mod, Boyfriend changes things. She actually has someone to cry to. It saves her life. She has a reason to continue fighting, to continue rolling on because she has someone to share her pain with. That's what I like about FNF mods. You can change history with them. You can finally defeat Sonic.exe and give those tortured souls hope for once. You can save Mickey Mouse who was about to give up on life. And you can be there for someone who desperately needed help, who desperately needed someone to talk to, someone to care for her.
I think I see what you mean. I remember there was a DDLC mod where Monika at the end met that other dating sim character and they started hitting it off.
It's especially cuter when you take the context that bf and Miku are siblings in the fnf world.

Correct. Most theories on rolling girl agree that the girl in the song commits suicide, as the lyrics suggest that the girl is suffering with depression. In fact, the visuals at the end of the music video show the girl hugging what is agreed to be the personification of her depression with her shoes off; in Japan it is common for people to remove their shoes before committing suicide.

First of all the. Art. Is. GORGEOUS. Id like it if its a bit more smudged but the FNF style is smooth and thicc so this also works so good! I love how boyfriend is so serious, other mods don’t express that with bf a lot which is quite sad. This mod is beautiful and is honestly the best mod I’ve seen when it comes to the art, I hope they make more like these in the future!
EDIT: Although this mod is great, I do agree there is room for improvement. Such as changing the notes to pure white to match the theme of the first part, then growing color as it gets to its second phase. And overall just make it a better mod! It’s really good, but they can make it even better! Great mod overall!
That's why the Ben drowned mod was so good. He showed emotion when Ben was drowning and we don't get enough of that from bf like we should. This mod was good too because it shows he actually has a sweet caring side rather than that same smile we always see on him
@@bloodkitten9041 True! I can’t imagine mods with a sad looking song with the blank face bf has. Imagine seeing bf without any emotion and just that blank face, The mod would be a little weird. But for horror mods, like Sonic exe it’s understandable in some cases, but a little stupid. And the poses to, it’s great to have good poses to match the mood, like the Ben drowned mod, Tabi Mod, Plants V Rappers, and more. That’s what makes a mod special, I hope to see more like them.

Man I never really thought about just how much someone like Miku NEEDS someone who can love her and be there for her, She has like dozens of Songs about her existence being compromised in one way or another, Death, Depression, Existential Crisis. All of these things can be helped a TON by just having someone who can be there for you.
Boyfriend is literally just that, The dude has no qualms with being around Demons, Monsters, Aliens, You name it. He'd be there for her if she needs anything, This Dynamic isn't something you normally think about because Miku is seems so upbeat all the time but yeah...
This was absolutely beautiful, So happy seeing Miku get some support from Boyfriend here, This Songs meaning is honestly pretty freaking sad, And Miku didn't have anyone in the Original Animation, It was her all alone.
But Boyfriend is legitimately here for her, He isn't the "Guy" who was with her trying too stop her from breathing. Who "If anyone didn't realize/know" was the personification of her own Depression telling her too end it all.
And the ending to the Animation kind of ends with just that happening... Really sad Song despite it being so catchy... :l

And yeah, Songs can have so MUCH more meaning in them then you'd think, Rolling Girl already is meaningful enough as is, But the Modders went and made it double meaningful by having Boyfriend be in it for Miku :3

Very wholesome mod! I may not be the biggest Hatsune Miku fan, but I've always found her songs great with Rolling Girl being my most favorite! I'm so glad that there's a Miku mod based off of this song, it really captures the original style!

this mod is so beautiful dude it honestly just makes me head cannon that they are siblings even more. with their canonical ages (BF is older than Miku), it would make sense for BF to just try and be there for her when she's going through a rough spot. with songs like these miku really needs someone thats just genuinely there for her, and this mod is just a really cute way of portraying that :)

I just noticed that their head icons on the bars is different throughout the song; when white, their heads are turned away, but when tealish blue, their heads are facing each other. Amazing little detail!
The canon of Boyfriend and Miku being siblings is perfectly wholesome and cute and this mod is no exception, I absolutely love this mod

I felt very emotional listening to this. I always had an attachment towards the original song away, I always found it quite relatable. I forgot about it for while, though, after my vocaloid fixation ended. But despite that, I feel all the same towards the song, it never fails to get my heart to throb. I’m glad this mod was made, otherwise I never would’ve remembered just how much this song meant to me. I may dislike fnf but this was amazing.

I'm really a huge fan of wowaka and it was sad to see him go and i have been in the vocaloid community for years now. I know most of vocaloid fans aren't big fans of the fnf let alone the community but I think this mod is great
Hi! This is coming from a vocaloid fan here, that just actually found out about this. Apparently Rolling Girl is a song that Wowaka made as a cry for help if you would say. I just figured out about this now, and that was pretty strange, considering that I've known the song for practically my entire childhood.
I'm assuming the Vocaloids Community founded as disrespectful when someone made a mod about this, because the song with a lot more personal a lot more depressing when you find out what the actual lyrics are. But I'm assuming of course the creator of the fnf mod knew that, seeing how they got everything pretty accurate to the music video.
